Actually, there had been reports that certain leaders in China had said China would protect Iran even if it meant WWIII. Don't know if they really would, but that has been out there, and one could find the report if one was inclined. The Russians have a naval base in Syria, and supposedly have sent ships and weapons to Syria.So, anybody who thinks that the US could "flatten" Iran (one wonders of the motive to do such a thing)...well, there is a bigger picture...

The West should exercise extreme caution when monkeying with Iran.

Iran has some formidable allies.

These allies possess a monetary interest in doing business with Iran, unobstructed by anyone.

They also possess huge amounts of fire-power capable of neutering the West in certain strategic areas.

And of course, if they wish, they could turn Tel Aviv and Hiafia into sheets of glass 2 foot thick.

Whats Iran ever done to the US? You do know that Iran has a very close relationship with Russia and China? They trade and do alot of military biz as well. Don't think that Iran is like Iraq. Anyway why be worried about Iran having nukes when Pakistan,India and Israel amongst many others with WMD?
