The Answer is Fethullah Gulen Google GUlen Scares Kurds. Gulen Commanded this. Gulen also Commanded the arrests of journalists and lawyers in Turkey Including a focus on Kurdish Kurdish lawyers and journalists. Time to go to Saylorsburgh Pa. #Occupy the Poconoes. Lets go to Gulen's house.
When the Arabs met the Armenians, they called these Hyestanis "Al-Kurds" and conversion to Islam followed. The rest, as they say, is history. Look at maps of historical greater Armenia and historical greater Kurdistan .... ooops

Al Gaddafi Speaks - The Kurds Come Out Empty-Handed
The Kurds have lost in the Iraq deal. They came out empty-handed.
What have the Kurds gained from the deal on Iraq? Nothing. Their only gain was embracing the occupying forces, planting kisses on the cheeks of the new rulers appointed by the occupiers... GOOGLE for AfrikaIndependence + Al Gaddafi Speaks .. and read the truth about the proplems of the world TODAY!
Actually, there had been reports that certain leaders in China had said China would protect Iran even if it meant WWIII. Don't know if they really would, but that has been out there, and one could find the report if one was inclined. The Russians have a naval base in Syria, and supposedly have sent ships and weapons to Syria. So, anybody who thinks that the US could "flatten" Iran (one wonders of the motive to do such a thing)...well, there is a bigger picture...
@IlKimJung No first of all, considering if we extremley wanted to we could turn iran into a wasteland. If it were to step up and upset the balance of power iran, would be put down. They have no formidable allies that could take down the western powers. We could flatten iran in hours.
@ContinentalPatriot Who are you? Where and what are your qualifications to make such a suggestion? The US hasn't got the $ or the will to take on Iran and why the fuck would they? Whats Iran ever done to the US? You do know that Iran has a very close relationship with Russia and China? They trade and do alot of military biz as well. Don't think that Iran is like Iraq. Anyway why be worried about Iran having nukes when Pakistan,India and Israel amongst many others with WMD?

I'm generally sympathetic to a Kurdish state, though I don't agree with some of those maps that show it as this huge swath across the region.

The West should exercise extreme caution when monkeying with Iran.
Iran has some formidable allies.
These allies possess a monetary interest in doing business with Iran, unobstructed by anyone.
They also possess huge amounts of fire-power capable of neutering the West in certain strategic areas.
And of course, if they wish, they could turn Tel Aviv and Hiafia into sheets of glass 2 foot thick.
Save for the tears, it should be all over in less than 30 minutes.
