If you take a look at the list of Federal Holidays, most everything holds a place in REALITY. Why is CHRISTMAS even a FEDERAL holiday? No other religious days receive the honor. People should declare their faith and then get certain days off for observance. Also, I think we atheists should call ourselves Naturalists. Then we can lump all the loons, not just the religious, into one group, the Supernaturalists.

On the contrary the Christian signs are and can be perceived as hateful also. take into consideration that this country is not a christian nation and that a large majority of this nation has different religious views and may see a stable, or the 10 commandments as a threat or hateful demeanor towards us citizens.

What BARKER said is true, and if your a christian, you can thank barker for the plaque thats going to be or is displayed saying "Keep State/Church Separate" think of the future when every other religion wants its part on public ground, but thanks to promoting a secular government we shouldn't have such problems in the future.

Reading your display info only makes me wonder, did you take into context the argument of both sides? christians have a monument there also, its only fair and EQUAL to show both sides, BTW CHRISTmas is not recognized as a national holiday nor is thanksgiving only do certain states recognize it as a holiday, other wise we would have 14 jewish, 10 muslim, 15 christian, 10 Buddhist, 31 hindu holidays, and lets not forget the other 150+ man made religions that poison this world.

It does matter what religious signs are posted, atheist who posted the sign were simply imposing the fact that if one religion is posted on public grounds so should everyone else's, they even stated they would take the sign down if the christians did the same. BTW the sign sarcastically points out that winter solstice is but a celebration of no gods no religions, hence why the sign was permitted in the first place
