  • Caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaats ......... yum.

  • Bass: Abraham Laboriel.....

  • @germusictv No, it was Lee Sklar in Bass.

  • Vinnie was my fav drummer b4 i even knew who he was!

  • @Blessedkidd no way ?

  • Man they play this at double speed on aussie TV atm.

    Completely ruins the theme altogether.

  • @exa25 This is actually the first version. The second version was in 6/8 and much less fusion-y.

  • 2204355

  • one of the best show themes ever. funky as hell. as good as CHiPs, Taxi, and white shadow. god vinnie rules.

  • This is the 2nd version of the theme, I believe Vinnie was playing on the 1st version of that theme.

  • @exa25 This is Vinnie's sound through and through

  • I think Vinnie should have been the main character and Elf should have played drums! I am just being a goofball, Vinnie is a monster!

  • Alf plays better

  • Some bouncer really punched Alf in the nose hard...

  • I prefer Alf to Vinnie.

  • ke rico suena!! no hay problema!!

  • no sabia que vinnie colaiuta habia grabado la bateria del tema intro de ALF sin duda interesante

  • i dont know who plays drums on the theme from the nanny but that track is swingin like mad

  • You know, pop songs are usually edited to fix any mistakes, so make sure you've seen the actual Pro Tools files to see how much editing was actually done. When it sounds too perfect, it's usually edited. Sorry, but that's how most commercial pop tunes are done these days since the advancement of computerized editing.

  • No wonder those first few perfect snare hits always stood out in my mind as a kid!

  • In Bass ABE LABORIEL

  • nooo !!1 you gotta be kiddin!

    Are you serious?

  • is it true that wooten's on the bass??

  • woooooooooooooow!!!!!!!!!!! :D

  • Awesome, I liked it even if I didn't play the drums then.

Does anybody know who plays the drums on "Knight Rider" theme song? It might be Vinnie too.....

  • I think it is Paul Leim

  • Thank you¨ ;)

  • Damn! Didn't know that :-) And now that I hear it... off course, who else can it be then Vinnie.

  • great!

  • ALF and VInnie Colauita ...Alien Life Forms

  • Shame you cut off the best part: The Hi-Hats at the beginning!...

    sitcomsonline . com / sounds / alf-1. mp3

  • Never knew that... Vinnie is an awesome drummer with his off-beat hi-hat work

  • i didn't know it, but few years ago, i thought, that the drummer for that song was more than good. Perfect.

  • alf kinda scares me to shit, but great tune!

  • waooo all this years and I just found out that vinnie played this song it just sounds like him no doubt ...I wish I would've pay atention to this song when I was a kid.....he is a legend....

  • great music and drumming by Vinnie!!!

  • This is totally awesome, vinnie is one of the greatest drummers in all universes.

  • jaja... u can tell its vinnie just with hearing him!

  • fuck, awesome

  • groooove

  • I CAN'T STOP LISTENING THIS SONG!! IS AMAZING xD I LOVED THE BASS LINE SINCE THE FIRST TIME I LISTENED (paying atention) to it .. and also the drums... and the synth, piano and chords BUT I REALLY WOULD WANT TO KNOW WHO IS THE GUITARIST????? TRY TO LISTEN A FEW SLAPS AND BENDS :O ITS PERFECT.... GREAT MUSICIANS thx alf clausen

  • It's just a guess, but the whole group sounds like one of Lee Ridnour/Dave Grusin's groups from the early 80's.....Dave Grusin-piano, Lee Ritenour-guitar, Abe Laboriel-bass and either Vinnie or Carlos Vega on drums. But that's just a guess.....anyway, even if it's not those guys...and you like this music, you would also like them. Check out Dave Grusin/Lee Ritenour at the Record Plant. It's from sometime in the 80's, but is still as clean of a production as I've ever seen or heard.

  • GRP

  • mee too. luved it wen i woz a kid. now you know why.

  • Abraham Laboriel On Bass

  • I always knew there was a reason why I loved this tune, for an unexplainable reason, since I heard it for the first time, I must have been 10 or less, and I had no idea I'd become a drum playin addict later. And now it's clear - Vinnie's playing is the reason.

  • MY GOD!!!The way in which the Ride Cymbal and hi-hat are played!!...that was Vinnie!.

  • my god, was that really vinnie?! anyway the bass player was the one that really amazed me. any info on who was him?, good old memories :')

  • flawless, as usual!

  • and who played the bass???

  • good old days. i think back at the time when i watched that o love it

  • That's one of the tv songs I remember the most......and didn't have any idea Vinnie recorded the drums......On the other hands, I love the bass line. It's awesome.

    Great musicians.

  • I absolutely agree with dionbass... I loved that song in my childhood, and never thought Colaiuta was drumming there! The Bass player is also amazing! If you're interested in knowing a great uruguayan latin bass player, you check Daniel Maza's work in youtube. He's an awesome player, playing with his group or the "Hermanos -brothers- Fattoruso". Good luck (Y)

  • i think, each musician in that song plays perfectly, I mean, listen to that bass-line!

And Vinnie does a flawless and creative job playing that tune.

  • it´s kind of funny at this point, this guy have recorded all the music that i`ve listened in my all life ! xD ...

  • HAHhahahah!! I LOVE IT!! I had no idea!!!

  • vinnieeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Yeah cool, that rocks. I love how the bass is supa overmixed lol. That section is really tight, and the drumming reminds me some Zappa stuff (Joes garage)

  • NOOOO WAAYYYYYYY!!!

I can't fucking believe this! And this is one of the first songs that I actually listened to the drums on - i must have been 8 years old, but thought to myself,"that drummer owns".

Ha! It was Vinnie all along....

  • YES WAY!!!!!!!! heheh

  • @eskimoposh

same for me, the first time to actually be drawn into the drums. effortless, extrovert and musical.

  • heh heh heh. that's freakin cool. i knew there was a reason i liked this show. vinnie also played drums on the A-team theme song.

  • He's on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme as well.

  • that's cool. i watched that show too. that i also did not know. vinnie's all over the place.

  • nunca lo note, pero si lo dices te creo, tiene un gran groove xD!!!!!!
