Even if you weren't homophobic, telling people to engage in homosexual behaviour is disgusting for a straight person. Think of how sickening it would be for a gay to have a heterosexual experience. The assignment also ignores the needs of those who are in a committed relationship. Do I really need to paint myself black in order to be "not racist". Forcing people to do sexual acts for an assignment is almost rape.
President Cary Nelson of the American Association of University Professors, AAUP:
“Everything is fundamentally political and there is no reason why the classroom shouldn’t enjoy the benefits of being a stage for progressive activists attempting to win converts for their cause.”
That "cause" being all things destructive of white people.
They say they are anti-racist. What they are is anti-white.
And since this was about adoption, I must add that I am a single man nearly 40 years old who has no children. Where are the people fighting for me to be able to adopt? I would get laughed at for trying to adopt a child. Would those gays be willing ot fight for my right. They might say yes, but none would show. Being gay is like femism. Their is no end to what they want and will ask for. Give them everything and they want more. Someone has to tell these people no at some point.
@SeanP7195@SeanP7195 Actually it is becoming more widely acceptable for a single people to adopt. I know cause I have been reading up on it, I am thinking of starting the adoption process once I am done with college and find a stable job.
I even found a website that will help you find somewhere you can adopt as a single parent.
Look at your posts now brother. My goodness, I've stripped you to nothing. You sound like a kid playing COD now. You are so defeated you could be a French prize-fighter. You touted yourself an intellectual but I brought out your true colors. Just another fire breathing liberal hate monger who is intent on getting their views accepted. FIRE will continue to fight and win against your kind. My check is in the mail.
No it hasn't. It has been that she was academically dishonest by writing a reaction paper to an event she never attended and that the code of ethics requires individuals to act to end discrimination based on sexual orientation. Since she says she was dishonest and she indicates that she will not follow the code she shouldn't be a SW.
@Granger515 That is not what the video is about. The video is about a young woman who placed in trouble because she refused to sign a petition seeking to make a law she may have not been fully in agreement with. That is why FIRE stepped in, and that is why the school settled a lawsuit and terminated faculty.
@Granger515 EXACTLY!!!! The code was never mentioned because she was not employed as a SW. This gives even more creedence to just how wrong the University was.
When a SW student declares their major they sign a contract which includes a clause saying they will abide by the code of ethics during their studies.
@Granger515 And I contend as did the courts as well as the University that she did not violate that code. Apparently you are the only one I see in protest of it.
I've destroyed your argument so many times and so many ways now its no longer funny, it's cruel. Not everyone is pro-gay. That's what freedom is. Get over it.
Even your response to my original post, in which I addressed the idea that she was never actually asked to commit a homosexual act but to attend an event in which one group advocated for gay rights and write a reaction paper, never actually responded to the post. My post questioned her academic integrity because in the above video she admits to writing the paper without attending the event. You immediately go into a two wrongs makes a right fallacy with your response.
@Granger515 If you review the debate. I never challenge the "homosexual act" topic which I believe occured in her freshman year and she was brow beaten about it. My initial challenge was to the petition. You can look back several pages and find that.
@Granger515 She was placed in a unique situation and was ultimately punished for it. It is well known with Conservative students that not applying a Liberal point of view to certain material can affect your grade. So they do it unwillingly. She was a 18 y/o being forced to attend an environment she was uncomfortable with and write a puff piece about it. we can only hope that that porfessor was one of the 4 who was terminated.
@Granger515 Its also becoming clear you have no idea how a free, democratic society works. You are a Fascists, seeking to impose your views on anyone and trying to find a rule within an ethics code that does not exist.
@Granger515 Only when it doesn't meet the defintion. You are a Fascists because you are intent on forcing all people to believe in a lifestyle we all don't agree with. You have made this clear. You are Ad Hominem when you assume I'm somehow finding sexual gratification destroying your arguments. Being the ultra-educated Prof you should know the difference.
@SeanP7195 You to Granger515: "...seeking to impose your views on anyone...etc." Right on man !. It is refreshing to read your comments to Granger. It amazes me that people like him are so convinced of the correctness of their views, that they are no longer capable of a reasonable discussion. The Social Science and Humanities departments in many of our Universities have been SCANDALOUSLY politicized for far too long. I hope the tide is changing for the better.
And lastly, the code of ethics does not and does never apply to persons studying a specific field. It applies to persons employed by the state as SW's.
Yes it does. SW majors are told in their first course it applies regardless of whether they have the degree or not. I have told my students and when I was getting my degrees I was told it.
Also, she never acted against GLBT's. That would be a totally different set of circumstances. She's under no obligation to explain herself with anything. The Prof was looking to fill up signatures for his agenda and figured he could bully his students to follow suit. He was wrong and rightfully terminated.
You, like many conservatives, seem focused (fantasizing?) on the sexual act and seem to be missing the part of the code where it requires social workers to ACT to end DISCRIMINATION based on SEXUAL ORIENTATION. The issue is not sexual orientation but discrimination. In order to 'act' one must do something. Refusing to 'act' is a violation of the code. The school had the right to test her willingness to follow the code despite learning about it from unethical action from the prof.
@Granger515 Yawn, now you've resorted to Ad-Hominem. How predictiable. I have proven she violated no ethics code, as did FIRE in a lawsuit. The University recognized this and took appropriate action. Sorry, that some gay folks didn't actually (GASP!!!!) get their way for once, but thats how it goes sometime.
I am fairly sure no accredited school of social work accepted her to a master's program. She is probably in one of the non-accredited religious schools. That will severely restrict her job options. If she ever applies for a job at any organization I am managing she will have to explain how she will act to end discrimination against the GBLT population if it should ever arise or she will never get the job. Most SWs I know feel the same way so...yeah I guess she won...sort of.
@Granger515 Once again.......for the hundreth time!!!! Not agreeing with homsexuality is not discrimination. And acting to end discrimination DOES NOT mean that you are on a quest to get everyone to accept the lifestyle of gays. It simply means that you must provide for them as you would any other individual in need of the help from a SW. Tolerance and acceptance are two difference things. You continue to fauil to recognize this.
You don't actually have to believe that being GBLT is OK to act against discrimination of people who are GBLT. Since the overwhelming consensus of peer reviewed literature on parenting shows there is no harm (FL had to change their adoption rules as a result) associated with GBLT parenting it is discrimination and not acting to end restrictions violates the code. If she didn't want to sign the letter (an act) she needs to explain how she would otherwise act to fulfill her obligation.
@Granger515 It doesn't matter what I believe as far as gay parenting is concerned. What matters is that I should not be forced either way by a person I will only know for 1 hour a day for 16 weeks.
@Granger515 It also stated that social workers must ACT to end DISCRIMINATION based on POLITICAL BELIEFS in that same section. Does that mean you must accept and embrace my political beliefs as well?
@Granger515 Exactly how am I focused on the "sexual act"? I speak politically and legally while you dwell on the gay lifestyle. Some people just don't really care about gays either way. Some people don't care for their lifestyle. Get over it. Refusing to act is not a violation. She was being forced to sign a petition. Is failing to attend a gay pride parade "refusing to act"? The school got clowned in court cuz they were wrong.
You will also notice that in artice 1.05 section (c). It mentions political beliefs. Wouldn't that dismiss anyone who was political from being employeed as a SW? As I stated earlier, I know a SW and she is the most hardcore leftist I've ever seen. She despises anything even close to the right. Her hatred is such that she could care less if every Conservative died of testicular cancer. Isn't she in violation of those ethics according to your logic?
(c) Social workers should obtain education about and seek to understand the nature of social diversity and oppression with respect to race, ethnicity, national origin, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, marital status, political belief, religion, immigration status, and mental or physical disability.
Nope, no violation there. Disagreeing is not the same as understanding. If it was FIRE would have lost the lawsuit.
In fact as I read the NASW ethics code, it appears it backs up what I am agruing. That persoanl beliefs and values should be dealt with responsibly when dealing with others. At no point, and I'm on my 3rd reading here does it state I must have and maintain a specific belief.
Oh geez, documentation that states Universites have become for the most part leftsit thinktanks which seek to force young impressionable people into a certain ideology. Umm, we can start with your first 15 posts. You believe that a person is in some sort of ethics violation for not being pro gay. I will call that exhibit A.
A Professor was forcing students to sign a petition that sought to force the states Legislation to allow gay adoption without inference. This is not an ethics violation to not sign a petition. This would dismiss everything that a petition is. A petition is list of signatures of citizens who wish to support/not support a particular issue, be it political or otherwise. It is a choice to sign it, regardless of belief.
Google 'Social Work Code of Ethics' Look for a NASW link of the text.

4.02
6.01
6.04(d)
You don't get to pick and choose which parts you follow. You have to follow the entire code. Nor is willful ignorance a choice. I am done with you since you are a troll.
Their is an easy way to end this debate. Show me where a person must be a bleeding heart liberal/leftist/marxist who feels the gay/lesbian agenda must be fulfilled at all cost and agreed upon to be consdiered for the position of a Social worker?
You are pro-gay/lesbian, so therefore in your mind you have made it a prerequsite for becoming a SW. This is your feelings, but it is not all of socieites. Yes, many SW are die-hard annoying leftist, but that is not a requirement.
SeanP7195 - There is no force involved if the person is a rational adult who has been told to review the code of ethics before going into the profession and who has been told following the code of ethics is a condition of receiving the degree.
SHE CAN CHOOSE ANOTHER PROFESSION!
The school was wrong in its methods but the student should have been told; 'I am sorry but you do not meet the pre-existing standards of graduation that you agreed upon when you enrolled in the program'
@Granger515 Once again you misconstru ethics and belief. You have still failed to show any profession or any law which forces people to have a certain belief. Up until 1973 The AMA listed homosexuality as a mental illness. That Ethics code sure must change often.
AMA stands for 'American Medical Association'. They have something to say about medical doctors code of ethics but not the SW code of ethic. The SW code does change but not a lot. It never pretends perfection.
You confuse a passive choice with not making a choice. When this person chose either not to read or to ignore the code she made a choice. Either she she was lazy or decided she did not need to consider the conflict of the code with her beliefs but it was a choice.
@Granger515 You continue to be unable to show us what exactly she is in violation of? I feel that that if she was in some sort of obvious violation as you are proclaiming, then the University wouldn't have been so quick to settle and dismiss faculty.
In FACT lol, in fact, the only reason professions even have Ethics codes is to force, yes force peoples of certain professions to put aside their personal beliefs in order to perfom their occupations at a high standard. For instance, military doctors have ethics which force them to treat and operate on enemy combatants as well as they can with our own troops. Making the doctors sign letters stating they agree with what the enemy is doing is foolish.
Code of ethics are widely known to exist. We are not talking about 7 year olds who stumble into professions. We are talking about adults who actively choose them. Nobody, in the U.S., forces someone to be a military doctor. They make that choice. Assuming they are smart enough to get through medical school they are smart enough to research their decisions.
What happened to personal responsibility for decisions adults make.?
@Granger515 This is true. People make choices to enter specific fields and those people all have specific personal beliefs. At no point has anyone tried to force them to think otherwise.
If you are talking about the radio host then no he was never a SW. He has degrees in sociology, education, botany, anthropology, and nutritional etho medicine. Not the same as social work.
@Granger515 I am talking about the radio host Michael Savage and yes he started his career as a NYC Social worker. Google Michael Savage social worker and see what you get. He talks about it on his radio show all the time.
He call himself whatever he wants but if he doesn't have a SW degree he was never a social worker. At most, he was an untrained paraprofessional with an inaccurate title.
Also, Arizona just had a Lesbian Governor. Not exactly Amish country if you know what I mean. You make the state out to be like something out of Footloose.
@Granger515 Janet Napoilitano was Goevernor from Arizona until 2009. It is commonly believed that she is a lesbian who does not want to be outed yet. Sometime in the near future when she is done being a terrible Homeland Secretary she will probably announce it.
Grainger....Do you honestly believe that some hardcore feminist out there who works as a SW has the same open feelings about men as she does women? Of course not, and thats her business. However, should a man be in a hospital and need the services of a SW she is under ethics to provide her sercives to this man at the best of her abilities. She can think less of him all she wants.
The difference is this student demonstrated an unwillingness to fulfill her obligations to act on the code of ethics regardless of belief. She should have never been forced into that position by the instructor, who was rightfully let go, but once she demonstrates that unwillingness to act she needs to explain how it would affect her professional practice. She was unwilling to do so other than indicate she would avoid working with that population, also against the code.
@Granger515 Wrong, the student never did anything against the code of Ethics. She was forced to incorporate and maintain a certain belief. This was forced upon her and several other students also did not want this belief. Your whole argument is still flawed as you still make no difference in your mind between duty and belief.
You still assume not making a choice somehow absolves one of responsibility. It is not possible to not make a choice. Inaction is a choice. The only way inaction in not a choice is there is no free will. If she had no free will she shouldn't have been in college.
@Granger515 The responsibility of proof lies with you not me. You are stating that she is in some sort of ethics violation. However, you have failed to show which?
@Granger515 I read fine thank you. Perhaps you could show me where in those articles does it say someone must be a pro gay bleeding heart leftist to be a SW.
This statement makes no sense. Inaction of a social issue has no bearing on occupation. You can be pro-life and be an abortion Doctor if you wanted to.
In the end though, FIRE is helpless. I hate to say it to. Universities sleep on beds of money. They rake it in like no one. Kinda funny seeing students protesting things like "big OIl", when College profits are far greater. Universities can handle many lawsuits and not flinch. Also, what are parents to do? They know they will send their kids to College, indoctrination an all. What other option is there?
In the end FIRE did not fail because of university money. They failed because they used a front org (NAS) who then used a series of bloggers to try to push their goals. NAS used this incident and created a 'study' of SW schools. The NAS study was considered to be so bad that even conservative academics refused to attach any credibility to it. Their study consisted of taking out of context fragments from several university websites and pretending it was evidence of a conspiracy.
@Granger515 FIRE doesnt act on studies of Universities. They are much like the EEOC who acts upon individual complaints. Do you not believe students shouldn't have this right? I mean, they are the ones paying mega bucks to attend this crap schools. Or do you believe like a good little Marxist that they should be forced a specific party line and accept it without resistance. If you do, I know a lovely little country you should move to.
FIRE is a politically motivated special interest group without authority to do anything. Complaining to them about the behavior of universities is less effective than complaining to the AARP about Denny's refusing to honor a senior citizen's discount.
Congrats on the stereotypical 'Marxist' insult. Do you prefer 'KKK' or 'Fascist'?
@Granger515 I prefer realist if you must know. And FIRE is a retalitation of a well-documented agenda of University brainwashing that has been going on for several decades now. Groups like FIRE will always arise as one group (radical University faculty) becomes to powerful. Sure, they may have secondary intentions (getting rich, defeating extrem leftism), however, they have been quite effective in stopping campus extremism from total control. Be it hook or crook.
@Granger515 Which documentation. The video clip laid out exactly what she was being forced to sign. If you argue that, then well, thats another debate.
@Granger515 Actually complaining to FIRE has done a lot. It's gotten several Universites to change their un-American policies (speech codes, etc). Its gotten many faculty dismissed or transferred. Its also taken funds outta Universities pockets thru lawsuits which should teach them that in this country, we are still free. In fact, i'm kinda interested in donating to FIRE so they can continue their good work. I mean who else out there can help?
Wow! this is a misleading video. She wasn't asked to 'have a homosexual experience' in the community, she was asked to attend any community meeting in which one side was advocating for rights for the gay/lesbian community and write a reaction paper. This is different than having 'a homosexual experience' which implies involvement in a sexual act with someone of the same sex. If she did write the paper without attending the event she should have been called to task for academic dishonesty.
She shouldn't have been forced to sign the letter BUT she can't be considered a social worker if she isn't willing to sign it. She was certainly shown the SW code of ethics before she was committed to thee major. If she had bothered to read the code of ethics she would have seen sections 1.05(c) and 4.02 place the expectation of signing it on her. If she didn't like it she could have switched to a different major that does not have equal rights for gays/lesbians in their ethics.
@Granger515 Insanity. It was a petition forcing her to shelve her Constituionally protected beliefs in favor of a proposal which wasnt even law yet (if it even is today). I'm aware of no profession that states one must have and maintain certain beliefs about specific demographics. The University was forcing her to have specific beliefs. That is illegal and they paid out the wazoo for it. They even terminated employees.
Lawyers are required to maintain confidentiality regardless of whether they are defending people they know to be guilty or people they know to be innocent. Tax accountants are not allowed to knowingly be more thorough when completing the returns of White clients as compared to African-American clients. Doctors are not allowed to walk away from treating a seriously injured client because they are gay.
These codes are everywhere. If you don't like it chose another career.
@Granger515 And yet once again you are making beliefs and duty the same thing. The Doctor would not walk away from the gay patient because of his duty and ethics. That does not mean he has to embrace the homosexual lifestyle and it does not mean he has to sign a petition stating he is in favor of gay adoption. I'm not sure why you are having so much trouble conceding this.
Before you say that forcing her to change professions is unacceptable even accountants have codes of ethics. Social workers are held to their code of ethics by many state governments. Even in states as conservative as AZ social workers can be fined or legally prohibited from holding a job if they don't follow the SW code of ethics.
The bottom line is SW has a code of ethics which conflicted with hers. She should have done the research and chosen a different profession.
@Granger515 Completely ridiculous. Are you telling me that some College student is in some sort of violation (of a profession in which she isnt even yet employable in) because she wouldnt allow a Professor make her sign a petition advocating gay adoption? Mind bogglingly. A belief is a completely different thing from dereliction. Had she refused to help a gay person as a social worker, then yeah, she may have been in violation of ethics codes. What you are advocating is forced beliefs.
SW's code of ethics is based on mistakes the profession has made in the past and a wide body of peer reviewed research. It is not based a fuzzy feeling inside of you. These rules are best practice to minimize harm to the client. If she doesn't agree to follow them she shouldn't graduate with the degree. That is a clearly stated condition of graduation at all accredited SW schools.The prof was wrong in his methods but this woman doesn't deserve a SW degree for other reasons.
This is very disturbing. Thanks heavens it's changed.....but anyone currently going to MSU in the Social Worker dept ? I have a daughter looking at this degree next year and this is very disturbing info.
This is very disturbing. Has this changed are the same professors still in charge ? I have a daughter looking at this degree next year and this is very disturbing info.
I attended this school and was attacked on campus and told not to return. When reported to officials I was ignored. At that time my ex-husband a convicted felon was on the judicial committee and responsible for the attack. I have never been back. However, I had to pay for the entire semester.
She would have been given choice to engage the community in some manner of advocacy, and some of those options would have involved the gay community, or dealt with HIV/AIDS which for know-nothings always means gay. Even the group project at issue here was simply that --- a group project. However, the star chamber she described when she refused to sign the letter, I'll say her version of what happened jives with my experiences with the department a few years earlier.
As a graduate of this BSW program before Emily, I can agree that there were some completely bullshit behaviors that regularly flowed out of some of the faculty. However, Brooker protests too much. She was never, never asked in her Human Diversity class to "display homosexual behavior in the community." Nor was she ever asked to have a homosexual experience (in any common sense meaning of that phase), and write a report on it.
The interview with Brooker is so contrived it makes me sick. The professors obviously went way too far, but I'm sure Ms. Brooker is intelligent enough to speak for herself. And I pity the LGBT child who gets Ms. Brooker as their caseworker.
This is happening in many colleges. A student recently told me that a psych professor at USF (University of South Florida in Tampa) is showing his/her students the Hollywood movie, Kinsey (directed by gay activist Bill Condon in class, passing it of as a learning tool on human behavior/sexuality. The movie falsely paints Kinsey as a hero of freedom. Kinsey was a sadomasochistic pederast and a complete fraud.
they can teach their students the popular belief but it was wrong of them to try and force her to endorse something she doesn't believe in. They should never have asked her to have a homosexual experience. Her professor should have chosen an advacocy project that would have been sensitive to the beliefs of all students. This is where the intention of diversity training fails. They need to re-evaluate their approach to diversity.
Just as a person should not go out of a university with a degree in science who believes the world is flat, the idea of a university giving a person a degree in social work who holds bigoted ideals is WRONG. MSU and the other universities involved are doing the right thing. Would you want someone with a degree in social work who just HAPPENS to "believe" that blacks deserve poverty because they're less human than white people?
Uhm... what? I go to Missouri State and have never had a professor do anything like this. This sounds like a professor getting out of control to me! Activist professors are one thing, but when they require you to agree with them to pass the course, that's going way way way too far! I wish they'd name names in this. I am very much in favor of gay adoption but very much against anyone being forced to agree with that opinion! Appalling.
I am definitely pro gay marriage and adoption rights but there's something very wrong if supporting a certain political viewpoint becomes a compulsary part of the curriculum. I am a Progressive but I can very well do without this kind of "tolerance."
Threats, Coercion, and Bullying is how progressives run government... it is the only way they think they can get people to do what they want. You name any department, bureau, law, ordinance and statute and I'll show you threats, coercion, and bullying that are used to enforce them. Progressives are evil scum who must be stopped... by ANY MEANS NECESSARY!!!
@PatriotsRepublic Sick, pathetic lies. EQUALITY is how our nation runs a progressive government. The idea that it's "threats and coersion" to say NO we will NOT have social workers who enforce discrimination and hate is upside down.
Calling people who want equality for ALL "Evil scum" is Nazi horsecrap.
@PrisonerNumber9653 what is sick and pathetic is the fact that every progressive policy can and is only ever enforced with violence... and so.... if we are to end the violent and tryanical reign of you progressives... it seems we must destroy you completely leaving not one of you alive, because you who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for you do so with the approval of your own conscience. You are forcing us to kill you to keep you from enslaving us.
@PatriotsRepublic Violent and tryanical? You're hallucinating. You call equality "bullying"? Truth "torment"?? Good grief. We're talking about truthful education, you're trying to make our schools a place for political indoctrination.
It is not "enslaving" to have justice and equality in our nation. The despicable and PROVEN lie that gays are some "threat" to children belongs in the ashheap of history with Bull Conners' racism. YOU are the one enslaving millions with hate and lies.
@PrisonerNumber9653 True rights, such as those in our Constitution, or those considered to be natural or human rights, exist simultaneously among all people. The exercise of a right by one person does not diminish those held by another. It imposes no obligations on another except those of non-interference. A man has the right to ask a lady for a date, but he has no right to impose an obligation on her to actually date him.
@PrisonerNumber9653 Similarly, I have a right to ask you to permit me to live in your house and dine with your family, but I have no right to impose such an obligation on you. Moreover, since I do not have these rights, I do not have a right to delegate authority to government to impose such obligations on another. In other words, from a moral point of view, one can delegate only those rights that one possesses.
@PrisonerNumber9653 Your version of "equality" must be forced by violence... mine on the other hand is voluntary. You just don't like how some people choose to exercise their Liberty.... our side will only use "threats and force" to get you to leave us alone... you can think any way you like... you can exercise your liberty any way you like as long as it does not impose obligation on us... the minute you impose obligation on us, we fight back... and sometimes, we fight back with guns.
@PatriotsRepublic Still a despicable LIE. There has been exactly ZERO force or violence. None. You call discrimination and bigotry "liberty" which is a desecration of the word.
That YOU have now threatened violence shows how truly lacking in morals the radical right is. You do NOT have the "liberty" to discriminate against others, and if you refuse to follow the LAW and threaten violence, you'll find yourself where bigots like you belong.
@PrisonerNumber9653 You really have no concept of Logical progression do you... First, laws and policies are created that extract obligation from the people in the form of actions we must do, and taxes we must pay, what happens if we refuse to do or pay? Well, your side sends the enforcers, what if we resist? They try and arrest us (with guns I might add), and then what happens if we resist that arrest? They kill us. You see, the end result of ALL your progressive policy is violence and murder.
@PatriotsRepublic As usual, the people claiming to be "patriots" are, in fact, no patriots at all. You want the blessings of being an American, while refusing the responsibilities. Yes, those who refuse to pay taxes, also known as CRIMINALS, do go to jail where they belong. And yes, if you try to KILL the officers who come to arrest you because you are a criminal, you will face force. And you want to say that's ME causing that?
@PrisonerNumber9653 What gives you or anyone the right to VOTE to enslave your fellow man? What gives you the RIGHT to impose your morality on your fellow man? You DO know we are NOT a Democracy and that 99% of all Federal and State Laws imposing morality and tax obligations on your fellow man violates the Constitution right? If you don't think so... then you will be on the other side of the lines when the shooting war starts... and it will start.
@PatriotsRepublic Uh, no, I know that's an IDIOTIC lie. It does NOT violate the constitution, and it's a despicable racist LIE to compare taxes, VOTED ON BY YOUR ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES to slavery.
You can cram your sick threats up your ass. You nutjob militia turds are the biggest traitors on the planet, truly as unAmerican as it gets. Where you get the sick idea that you're "patriots" is a mystery, it's a hallucination. You are a disgrace to what this nation stands for, ALL it stands for.
@PatriotsRepublic And you are NO Patriot. This despicable line of bullshit is being used so that criminals like you can pretend there's something valid in your violent hateful trash. All you are is a cheap thug who belongs in a cage, wanting to use violence instead of acting like an AMERICAN and for WHAT
Greed. The ONLY THING you care about is hoarding wealth, not paying taxes. you don't care about ANYONE but yourself.
Of course when your house catches fire, you'll call the firemen.
@PrisonerNumber9653 Out of the two of us... I am the patriot, you are the enemy within our borders.... as for fire fighters... more than 70% of all fire depts are volunteer... I volunteered for 4 years and fought many a fire and saved many a home and business.... and for no pay or adulation... but solely for the sake of participating in my community. Weasels like you do nothing except vote for others to steal what hard working people earn. You are an enemy to the US Constitution and worthless!
@PatriotsRepublic Lie. YOU are the enemy of what this nation stands for, our founding principles. You think the volunteering for a fire department (a fine thing to do) makes up for your unAmerican hate and lies? To THREATEN TO MURDER public servents because you put your own wealth ahead of your nation? It is NOT stealing.
YOU are an enemy of the constitution by spreading dangerous lies about. Taxation is NOT unconstitutional.
@PrisonerNumber9653 Your type hates Liberty and Freedom, and you only support those actions and laws which give you and your ilk more power. Not one scumbag working for our government is a public servant, more like public leeches that deserve to be scraped off and forced away from our property. Just because you claim "You Lie!" does not make the insane propaganda you spew any more truthful. You try and take whats mine, I'll kill you! Stay off my property and keep away from my Liberty!
@PatriotsRepublic Lie. There is NOTHING in liberty and freedom I have EVER opposed. The despicable lie that hoarding wealth is "freedom" has NO truth. ALL people working for the government are public servants. You put "property" over REAL freedom REAL liberty.
Keep threatening decent people because you put what you think is "yours" ahead of human life. You'll be in the cage where you belong, you traitorous slime.
@PrisonerNumber9653 because I want to keep what I earn... I'm somehow hoarding? All people working for government better get a real skill or die when the economy collapses... people like you had better hide who you are, because when the war starts in earnest, those like you who caused this with your blind ignorance and hubris will be our targets... we cannot allow you to take part in the rebuilding.
@PatriotsRepublic Earn my ass. People in poverty do not "earn" hunger, do not "earn" inability to see a doctor when sick or hurt. NOBODY "earns" denying these rights to others.
The economy isn't going to collapse, and people working in public service DO have real skills.
Calling the rejection of your selfishness and paranoid hate is NOT 'ignorance' and your KKK version of "rebuilding" is as unAmerican as it gets.
EVERY WORD you spew is exactly like the trash of Timothy McVeigh.
@PrisonerNumber9653 Ok, so your position is that slavery is ok as long as the enslaved are enslaved to help the poor and provide health care. Is that about right? Who provides food, housing and healthcare? IF they don't do it willingly, does that justify coming after them with stormtroopers and forcing them to give that which you deem proper? Should doctors be FORCED to provide care? If they refuse because you won't compensate them, do you throw them in jail? You are a Fascist!
@PatriotsRepublic It remains a sick and racist LIE to call it "slavery". You call following our laws "slavery", and our officials "stormtroopers", you're truly the LEAST "patriotic" person I've ever seen, you're a true traitor and a true coward.
It is not "fascism" to recognize the HUMAN RIGHTS of others. You don't give a shit about anyone but yourself, we've established that long ago. You're a sorry excuse for a human being, got it. You don't believe in our nation or it's principles.
@PrisonerNumber9653 people like you are the true violent scumbags... only you pay others to do your dirty work.... when this economy crashes and we enter the SHTF without rule of law times.... I promise to hunt as many of your type down and eliminate you from the Earth.
@PatriotsRepublic Still pathetic lies. I'm not violent, not paying anyone, there is no "dirty work". One can only HOPE this immoral economy based upon the rich get richer and screw everyone else crashes, but the idea that our economy is "crashing" is paranoid bunkum.
There is not an instrument that can measure how LITTLE your scumbag threats scare or intimidate me. Yeah, we're going to crash the economy and KKK nutjobs are going to go around killing everyone who believes in equality.
@PatriotsRepublic It won't. We have the wealthiest nation on the planet. "The Economy" is how the right refers to wall street, as long as THEY are making obscene profits, "the economy" is fine. They ignore poverty, ignore the jobless, and blame the victims for the problem. As long as the blessed rich are happy, everything's fine.
@PrisonerNumber9653 progressives like you don't like it when the people resist your tyranny. So when we say "If you come to enslave us, we'll kill you!" you cannot see it as anything except a threat. You cannot understand that if you leave us, and don't try and enslave us, there is NO THREAT AGAINST YOU! Your actions cause the threat, we don't threaten anyone who does not threaten us, So, if you come for my Liberty, I promise I will come for your life, leave me alone and I'll leave you alone.
@PatriotsRepublic More of the right's upside-down double-talk, where equality is "tyranny". You call it "slavery", and threaten to kill anyone not supporting your discrimination. "Leave us"? FUCK OFF. This is OUR country and the CONSTITUTION says you don't get to say "submit to our lies and hate or get out", they tried that crap in Vietnam to those who wouldn' support the fraudulent lies of the government and the sick, illegal war. NOBODY is after your "liberty" it is YOU threatening liberty.
And why as a social worker should she be allowed to cause mental anguish by condemning gay people, or worse yet recommending unregulated therapies which are known to cause harm?
I would hardly call this example outrageous. As a social worker one needs to learn to put aside personal biases and work to the social and mental health of all parties, not just people who agree with you. Clearly making someone support a cause is wrong, but the best way out - in fact the expected and provided way out - is to change classes. Even if it's a required class, substitutions are made all the time. That menacing contract probably just said she couldn't professionally condemn gay people.
I'm not socially conservative or religious. But it is apparent that universities are becoming more and more fascist. They bend the rules and violate civil rights laws. If you want to learn more about bullying and discrimination then please look at my profile and add me as a friend. Thank you.
I don't agree with Emily Brooker's political position on homosexuality. I believe we should have the right to foster and adopt children if we choose to do so, but if I were in the same situation where I was bullied into having a sexual experience with someone I had no desire to be sexual with for a school assignment, I'd be very offended. That's just wack, so I stand by her on this one.
She def. did the right thing. I would have told the prof. to fuck off the first time he told me to have a homosexual experience and write about it. Not because i am against homosexuality but because some old ass isnt going to dictate my free will. Also not typical of MSU profs, cant believe they were at this university.
It's astounding to me that we now must "protect" bigotry and ignorance merely by calling them "beliefts." We don't just accept the "beliefs" of violent racists, abortion provider murderers, terrorists, polygamists... so why must we accept the "beliefts" of people who think gay Americans should have fewer rights than the bigots???
Merely believing something does not automatically make it worthy of respect or protection. Many people believe many idiotic things.
maybe social work just isnt for you because as A SOCIAL WORKER your gunna have to deal with all kinds of people reather you agree or not... smh...

thehoosierfortheUK 3 months ago
Even if you weren't homophobic, telling people to engage in homosexual behaviour is disgusting for a straight person. Think of how sickening it would be for a gay to have a heterosexual experience. The assignment also ignores the needs of those who are in a committed relationship. Do I really need to paint myself black in order to be "not racist". Forcing people to do sexual acts for an assignment is almost rape.

That "cause" being all things destructive of white people.
They say they are anti-racist. What they are is anti-white.
Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white.

SeanP7195 9 months ago 6
@SeanP7195 @SeanP7195 Actually it is becoming more widely acceptable for a single people to adopt.

@Granger515 Actually I do, but I thought you were done? Got papers to grade do we?
SeanP7195 9 months ago
You can fish all you want, but your argument has always been the same. And that is you must be pro gay/lesbian to work as a SW. That is incorrect.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195
No it hasn't. It has been that she was academically dishonest by writing a reaction paper to an event she never attended and that the code of ethics requires individuals to act to end discrimination based on sexual orientation. Since she says she was dishonest and she indicates that she will not follow the code she shouldn't be a SW.
She can believe whatever she wants.
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 That is not what the video is about. The video is about a young woman who placed in trouble because she refused to sign a petition seeking to make a law she may have not been fully in agreement with. That is why FIRE stepped in, and that is why the school settled a lawsuit and terminated faculty.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195
Yes that is what the video, which FIRE (a political organization), made is about but it isn't the entire story.

Obviously the courts didn't agree with you interpertation of the NASW code. I'll take their experience over yours.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195
The courts never addressed the fact she violated the code. It wasn't the legal issue.
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 EXACTLY!!!! The code was never mentioned because she was not employed as a SW. This gives even more creedence to just how wrong the University was.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195
When a SW student declares their major they sign a contract which includes a clause saying they will abide by the code of ethics during their studies.
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 And I contend as did the courts as well as the University that she did not violate that code. Apparently you are the only one I see in protest of it.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
Dear Ad Hominem,
I've destroyed your argument so many times and so many ways now its no longer funny, it's cruel. Not everyone is pro-gay. That's what freedom is. Get over it.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 If you review the debate. I never challenge the "homosexual act" topic which I believe occured in her freshman year and she was brow beaten about it. My initial challenge was to the petition. You can look back several pages and find that.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195
So you you concede that she was academically dishonest.
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 Certainly not....
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195
So it is academically honest to make up a paper?
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 She was placed in a unique situation and was ultimately punished for it. It is well known with Conservative students that not applying a Liberal point of view to certain material can affect your grade. So they do it unwillingly. She was a 18 y/o being forced to attend an environment she was uncomfortable with and write a puff piece about it. we can only hope that that porfessor was one of the 4 who was terminated.

It is becoming clear you have no idea how SW education, or higher education in general, works.
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 Its also becoming clear you have no idea how a free, democratic society works. You are a Fascists, seeking to impose your views on anyone and trying to find a rule within an ethics code that does not exist.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195
I thought you were against Ad Hominems
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 Only when it doesn't meet the defintion. You are a Fascists because you are intent on forcing all people to believe in a lifestyle we all don't agree with. You have made this clear. You are Ad Hominem when you assume I'm somehow finding sexual gratification destroying your arguments. Being the ultra-educated Prof you should know the difference.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195 You to Granger515: "...seeking to impose your views on anyone...etc." Right on man !. It is refreshing to read your comments to Granger. It amazes me that people like him are so convinced of the correctness of their views, that they are no longer capable of a reasonable discussion. The Social Science and Humanities departments in many of our Universities have been SCANDALOUSLY politicized for far too long. I hope the tide is changing for the better.
mozo73 9 months ago
And lastly, the code of ethics does not and does never apply to persons studying a specific field. It applies to persons employed by the state as SW's.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195
Yes it does. SW majors are told in their first course it applies regardless of whether they have the degree or not. I have told my students and when I was getting my degrees I was told it.
Granger515 9 months ago
Also, she never acted against GLBT's. That would be a totally different set of circumstances. She's under no obligation to explain herself with anything. The Prof was looking to fill up signatures for his agenda and figured he could bully his students to follow suit. He was wrong and rightfully terminated.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
Dear Troll,
You, like many conservatives, seem focused (fantasizing?) on the sexual act and seem to be missing the part of the code where it requires social workers to ACT to end DISCRIMINATION based on SEXUAL ORIENTATION. The issue is not sexual orientation but discrimination. In order to 'act' one must do something. Refusing to 'act' is a violation of the code. The school had the right to test her willingness to follow the code despite learning about it from unethical action from the prof.
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 Yawn, now you've resorted to Ad-Hominem. How predictiable. I have proven she violated no ethics code, as did FIRE in a lawsuit. The University recognized this and took appropriate action. Sorry, that some gay folks didn't actually (GASP!!!!) get their way for once, but thats how it goes sometime.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 Then thats her business if she goes to a non-credited religios school. Again, that's her freedom.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@Granger515 Once again.......for the hundreth time!!!! Not agreeing with homsexuality is not discrimination. And acting to end discrimination DOES NOT mean that you are on a quest to get everyone to accept the lifestyle of gays. It simply means that you must provide for them as you would any other individual in need of the help from a SW. Tolerance and acceptance are two difference things. You continue to fauil to recognize this.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 It doesn't matter what I believe as far as gay parenting is concerned. What matters is that I should not be forced either way by a person I will only know for 1 hour a day for 16 weeks.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@Granger515 It also stated that social workers must ACT to end DISCRIMINATION based on POLITICAL BELIEFS in that same section. Does that mean you must accept and embrace my political beliefs as well?
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@Granger515 Exactly how am I focused on the "sexual act"? I speak politically and legally while you dwell on the gay lifestyle. Some people just don't really care about gays either way. Some people don't care for their lifestyle. Get over it. Refusing to act is not a violation. She was being forced to sign a petition. Is failing to attend a gay pride parade "refusing to act"? The school got clowned in court cuz they were wrong.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
You will also notice that in artice 1.05 section (c). It mentions political beliefs. Wouldn't that dismiss anyone who was political from being employeed as a SW? As I stated earlier, I know a SW and she is the most hardcore leftist I've ever seen. She despises anything even close to the right. Her hatred is such that she could care less if every Conservative died of testicular cancer. Isn't she in violation of those ethics according to your logic?
SeanP7195 9 months ago
Like most liberals you simply cannot differentiate between tolerance and acceptance. Those are two completely different things.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
NASW ethics code 1.05 (c)
(c) Social workers should obtain education about and seek to understand the nature of social diversity and oppression with respect to race, ethnicity, national origin, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, marital status, political belief, religion, immigration status, and mental or physical disability.
Nope, no violation there. Disagreeing is not the same as understanding. If it was FIRE would have lost the lawsuit.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
In fact as I read the NASW ethics code, it appears it backs up what I am agruing. That persoanl beliefs and values should be dealt with responsibly when dealing with others. At no point, and I'm on my 3rd reading here does it state I must have and maintain a specific belief.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
Oh geez, documentation that states Universites have become for the most part leftsit thinktanks which seek to force young impressionable people into a certain ideology. Umm, we can start with your first 15 posts. You believe that a person is in some sort of ethics violation for not being pro gay. I will call that exhibit A.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
A Professor was forcing students to sign a petition that sought to force the states Legislation to allow gay adoption without inference. This is not an ethics violation to not sign a petition. This would dismiss everything that a petition is. A petition is list of signatures of citizens who wish to support/not support a particular issue, be it political or otherwise. It is a choice to sign it, regardless of belief.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195
Google 'Social Work Code of Ethics' Look for a NASW link of the text.
1.05(c)
4.02
6.01
6.04(d)
You don't get to pick and choose which parts you follow. You have to follow the entire code. Nor is willful ignorance a choice. I am done with you since you are a troll.
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 Thank you. I have read that code and at no point has it stated that I need to be pro GLBT. Do you have anything else?
SeanP7195 9 months ago
Their is an easy way to end this debate. Show me where a person must be a bleeding heart liberal/leftist/marxist who feels the gay/lesbian agenda must be fulfilled at all cost and agreed upon to be consdiered for the position of a Social worker?
You are pro-gay/lesbian, so therefore in your mind you have made it a prerequsite for becoming a SW. This is your feelings, but it is not all of socieites. Yes, many SW are die-hard annoying leftist, but that is not a requirement.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
SeanP7195 - There is no force involved if the person is a rational adult who has been told to review the code of ethics before going into the profession and who has been told following the code of ethics is a condition of receiving the degree.
SHE CAN CHOOSE ANOTHER PROFESSION!
The school was wrong in its methods but the student should have been told; 'I am sorry but you do not meet the pre-existing standards of graduation that you agreed upon when you enrolled in the program'
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 Once again you misconstru ethics and belief. You have still failed to show any profession or any law which forces people to have a certain belief. Up until 1973 The AMA listed homosexuality as a mental illness. That Ethics code sure must change often.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 You continue to be unable to show us what exactly she is in violation of? I feel that that if she was in some sort of obvious violation as you are proclaiming, then the University wouldn't have been so quick to settle and dismiss faculty.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@Granger515 Why specifically would she not met the graduation requirements?
SeanP7195 9 months ago
In FACT lol, in fact, the only reason professions even have Ethics codes is to force, yes force peoples of certain professions to put aside their personal beliefs in order to perfom their occupations at a high standard. For instance, military doctors have ethics which force them to treat and operate on enemy combatants as well as they can with our own troops. Making the doctors sign letters stating they agree with what the enemy is doing is foolish.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 This is true. People make choices to enter specific fields and those people all have specific personal beliefs. At no point has anyone tried to force them to think otherwise.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
And P.S. Michael Savage used to be a Social worker.
SeanP7195 9 months ago

Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 I am talking about the radio host Michael Savage and yes he started his career as a NYC Social worker. Google Michael Savage social worker and see what you get. He talks about it on his radio show all the time.
SeanP7195 9 months ago

Grainger....Do you honestly believe that some hardcore feminist out there who works as a SW has the same open feelings about men as she does women? Of course not, and thats her business. However, should a man be in a hospital and need the services of a SW she is under ethics to provide her sercives to this man at the best of her abilities. She can think less of him all she wants.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 Wrong, the student never did anything against the code of Ethics. She was forced to incorporate and maintain a certain belief. This was forced upon her and several other students also did not want this belief. Your whole argument is still flawed as you still make no difference in your mind between duty and belief.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195
Read it. She did.
You still assume not making a choice somehow absolves one of responsibility. It is not possible to not make a choice. Inaction is a choice. The only way inaction in not a choice is there is no free will. If she had no free will she shouldn't have been in college.
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 The responsibility of proof lies with you not me. You are stating that she is in some sort of ethics violation. However, you have failed to show which?
SeanP7195 9 months ago

SeanP7195 9 months ago

SeanP7195 9 months ago
In the end though, FIRE is helpless. I hate to say it to. Universities sleep on beds of money. They rake it in like no one. Kinda funny seeing students protesting things like "big OIl", when College profits are far greater. Universities can handle many lawsuits and not flinch. Also, what are parents to do? They know they will send their kids to College, indoctrination an all. What other option is there?
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 Never said FIRE failed. I said Universities have so much money they can handle many lawsuit loses and still keep up their agenda.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195
I guess you don't know the story behind the story.
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 FIRE doesnt act on studies of Universities. They are much like the EEOC who acts upon individual complaints. Do you not believe students shouldn't have this right? I mean, they are the ones paying mega bucks to attend this crap schools. Or do you believe like a good little Marxist that they should be forced a specific party line and accept it without resistance. If you do, I know a lovely little country you should move to.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 I prefer realist if you must know. And FIRE is a retalitation of a well-documented agenda of University brainwashing that has been going on for several decades now. Groups like FIRE will always arise as one group (radical University faculty) becomes to powerful. Sure, they may have secondary intentions (getting rich, defeating extrem leftism), however, they have been quite effective in stopping campus extremism from total control. Be it hook or crook.

@SeanP7195
Show me the documentation realist?
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 Which documentation. The video clip laid out exactly what she was being forced to sign. If you argue that, then well, thats another debate.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@Granger515 Actually complaining to FIRE has done a lot. It's gotten several Universites to change their un-American policies (speech codes, etc). Its gotten many faculty dismissed or transferred. Its also taken funds outta Universities pockets thru lawsuits which should teach them that in this country, we are still free. In fact, i'm kinda interested in donating to FIRE so they can continue their good work. I mean who else out there can help?
SeanP7195 9 months ago
Wow! this is a misleading video.
Granger515 10 months ago
@Granger515 And what of the letter advocating gay adoptions she was being forced to sign?
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 Insanity. It was a petition forcing her to shelve her Constituionally protected beliefs in favor of a proposal which wasnt even law yet (if it even is today). I'm aware of no profession that states one must have and maintain certain beliefs about specific demographics. The University was forcing her to have specific beliefs. That is illegal and they paid out the wazoo for it. They even terminated employees.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 And yet once again you are making beliefs and duty the same thing. The Doctor would not walk away from the gay patient because of his duty and ethics. That does not mean he has to embrace the homosexual lifestyle and it does not mean he has to sign a petition stating he is in favor of gay adoption. I'm not sure why you are having so much trouble conceding this.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 Completely ridiculous. Are you telling me that some College student is in some sort of violation (of a profession in which she isnt even yet employable in) because she wouldnt allow a Professor make her sign a petition advocating gay adoption? Mind bogglingly. A belief is a completely different thing from dereliction. Had she refused to help a gay person as a social worker, then yeah, she may have been in violation of ethics codes. What you are advocating is forced beliefs.
SeanP7195 9 months ago
@SeanP7195
Granger515 9 months ago
@Granger515 And what are those reasons?

I attended this school and was attacked on campus and told not to return. When reported to officials I was ignored. At that time my ex-husband a convicted felon was on the judicial committee and responsible for the attack. I have never been back. However, I had to pay for the entire semester.
zGsEriE 1 year ago

Kinsey was a sadomasochistic pederast and a complete fraud.
funk7000 1 year ago
they can teach their students the popular belief but it was wrong of them to try and force her to endorse something she doesn't believe in.

PrisonerNumber9653 1 year ago
Uhm...

PatriotsRepublic 1 year ago
@PatriotsRepublic Sick, pathetic lies. EQUALITY is how our nation runs a progressive government. The idea that it's "threats and coersion" to say NO we will NOT have social workers who enforce discrimination and hate is upside down.
Calling people who want equality for ALL "Evil scum" is Nazi horsecrap.
PrisonerNumber9653 1 year ago
@PrisonerNumber9653 what is sick and pathetic is the fact that every progressive policy can and is only ever enforced with violence... and so.... if we are to end the violent and tryanical reign of you progressives... it seems we must destroy you completely leaving not one of you alive, because you who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for you do so with the approval of your own conscience. You are forcing us to kill you to keep you from enslaving us.
PatriotsRepublic 1 year ago
@PatriotsRepublic Violent and tryanical? You're hallucinating. You call equality "bullying"? Truth "torment"?? Good grief. We're talking about truthful education, you're trying to make our schools a place for political indoctrination.
It is not "enslaving" to have justice and equality in our nation. The despicable and PROVEN lie that gays are some "threat" to children belongs in the ashheap of history with Bull Conners' racism. YOU are the one enslaving millions with hate and lies.
PrisonerNumber9653 1 year ago
@PrisonerNumber9653 True rights, such as those in our Constitution, or those considered to be natural or human rights, exist simultaneously among all people. The exercise of a right by one person does not diminish those held by another. It imposes no obligations on another except those of non-interference. A man has the right to ask a lady for a date, but he has no right to impose an obligation on her to actually date him.
PatriotsRepublic 1 year ago
@PrisonerNumber9653 Similarly, I have a right to ask you to permit me to live in your house and dine with your family, but I have no right to impose such an obligation on you. Moreover, since I do not have these rights, I do not have a right to delegate authority to government to impose such obligations on another. In other words, from a moral point of view, one can delegate only those rights that one possesses.
PatriotsRepublic 1 year ago
@PrisonerNumber9653 Your version of "equality" must be forced by violence... mine on the other hand is voluntary. You just don't like how some people choose to exercise their Liberty.... our side will only use "threats and force" to get you to leave us alone... you can think any way you like... you can exercise your liberty any way you like as long as it does not impose obligation on us... the minute you impose obligation on us, we fight back... and sometimes, we fight back with guns.
PatriotsRepublic 1 year ago
@PatriotsRepublic Still a despicable LIE. There has been exactly ZERO force or violence. None. You call discrimination and bigotry "liberty" which is a desecration of the word.
That YOU have now threatened violence shows how truly lacking in morals the radical right is. You do NOT have the "liberty" to discriminate against others, and if you refuse to follow the LAW and threaten violence, you'll find yourself where bigots like you belong.
in a cage.
PrisonerNumber9653 1 year ago
@PrisonerNumber9653 You really have no concept of Logical progression do you... First, laws and policies are created that extract obligation from the people in the form of actions we must do, and taxes we must pay, what happens if we refuse to do or pay? Well, your side sends the enforcers, what if we resist? They try and arrest us (with guns I might add), and then what happens if we resist that arrest? They kill us. You see, the end result of ALL your progressive policy is violence and murder.
PatriotsRepublic 1 year ago
@PatriotsRepublic As usual, the people claiming to be "patriots" are, in fact, no patriots at all. You want the blessings of being an American, while refusing the responsibilities. Yes, those who refuse to pay taxes, also known as CRIMINALS, do go to jail where they belong. And yes, if you try to KILL the officers who come to arrest you because you are a criminal, you will face force. And you want to say that's ME causing that?
I want some of what you're smoking.
PrisonerNumber9653 1 year ago
@PrisonerNumber9653 What gives you or anyone the right to VOTE to enslave your fellow man? What gives you the RIGHT to impose your morality on your fellow man? You DO know we are NOT a Democracy and that 99% of all Federal and State Laws imposing morality and tax obligations on your fellow man violates the Constitution right? If you don't think so... then you will be on the other side of the lines when the shooting war starts... and it will start.

Weasels like you do nothing except vote for others to steal what hard working people earn. You are an enemy to the US Constitution and worthless!

YOU are an enemy of the constitution by spreading dangerous lies about. Taxation is NOT unconstitutional.

PatriotsRepublic 1 year ago

PatriotsRepublic 1 year ago
@PatriotsRepublic It remains a sick and racist LIE to call it "slavery". You call following our laws "slavery", and our officials "stormtroopers", you're truly the LEAST "patriotic" person I've ever seen, you're a true traitor and a true coward.
It is not "fascism" to recognize the HUMAN RIGHTS of others. You don't give a shit about anyone but yourself, we've established that long ago. You're a sorry excuse for a human being, got it. You don't believe in our nation or it's principles.

PrisonerNumber9653 1 year ago
@PrisonerNumber9653 progressives like you don't like it when the people resist your tyranny. So when we say "If you come to enslave us, we'll kill you!" you cannot see it as anything except a threat. @klutterkicker And NOBODY ever came up with an answer to this reasonable question, posted over a month ago.
PrisonerNumber9653 1 year ago
I would hardly call this example outrageous. As a social worker one needs to learn to put aside personal biases and work to the social and mental health of all parties, not just people who agree with you. Clearly making someone support a cause is wrong, but the best way out - in fact the expected and provided way out - is to change classes. Even if it's a required class, substitutions are made all the time. That menacing contract probably just said she couldn't professionally condemn gay people.

I believe we should have the right to foster and adopt children if we choose to do so, but if I were in the same situation where I was bullied into having a sexual experience with someone I had no desire to be sexual with for a school assignment, I'd be very offended.
