The security guard is a pussy. I would have went down and told them to get the hell out. Since he didn't check it could've been maintenance workers doing some finish work.

But he saw that all of the construction workers had signed out for the day, the guard he relieved assured him that no one else was in the building, and most importantly he felt an overwhelming unnatural fear come over him which caused him to panic in a situation that he would not have normally done so.
Way to much doubt in this whole thing. Why would a security guard immediately start taping something on his cell phone in the first place? They are trained in a very specific way to handle situations, turning on your cell phone camera isn't one of them. you can tell very easily that is a window in the background, looks like morning or mid morning. I say that because if you look to the right of the "shadowy figure" on the ground you see the light coming in the hallway from a door open.

If I understand him correctly, he had been filming for several minutes on a different floor of this hotel, until he came out of the elevator on this floor. So this was not a situation where he had just turned on the camera as he stepped out of the elevator.

The security guard sent me this video with absolutely no audio track, so ANY noise or voices were just background noise that was picked up when I added my audio commentary. As for why he sent it minus audio? @apapi65 Sorry about the camera movement, but this was filmed with a cellphone camera as the security guard was walking his rounds. In that type of unexpected situation, camera stability would even be difficult if he had a good camera, let alone just a cellphone camera. This is the video clip that the guard sent me, and although I did add my audio commentary, I did nothing to alter the video, including not trying to stabilize the video during editing.

@colbour The hotel was being completely remodeled; it was closed, there were no guests. The remodel crew was only working during the day; so the hotel was completely locked down at night and there was only 1 guard there at night.

@colbour Furthermore, if we interject our own thoughts and beliefs into the story presented to us by this security guard, then we are doing him a disservice as we are no longer looking at it objectively. If we view this as "he said, she said" that becomes the point where we diverge from being objective. After all, we were not there and we can only rely on info given to us from someone who was.

@BeanMeister22 I can only analyze the evidence presented. the evidence is 5 -8 secs of video of a near empty hotel hallway. Apparent daylight coming from the end of the hall and from in under the doors. This negates the security guards assertion that it was 2am. The "ghosts" are black blobs so far in the distance that they are recognizable.

@BeanMeister22 the explaination is obvious. It was filmed in the daytime because of the various sun light sources and the hallway was empty except for a maids cleaning cart. Sometimes rational thought will let you get to the real solution without going off into the supernatural

@shiningdragoon120 There are actually two situations that people refer to as possession. Possession and oppression. In possession the entity gets inside a person due to something specific they did which allowed the spirit inside. The more common is oppression where the entity sits on your shoulder and disrupts your life. Both are bad situations and both can cause you to be under their control, in oppression the entity only knows what you do and say out loud, it cannot read your thoughts.

He could not afford the cost to fly down to where he lives, so I investigated it the best I could through phone interviews, and I had a local friend of mine visit the location and interview the guy in person. In exchange for this, he signed over all ownership of this video to me. If he is telling the truth, we might have a real sighting here.
@dved2265 I cannot say what hotel this is, but yes it is an older one. Also, I would expect that even if an old hotel was torn down to make way for a new one to be built, there would still be the possibility that whatever spirits were haunting the old place, would simply move into the new place.

@colbour The hotel was being completely remodeled; it was closed, there were no guests. The remodel crew was only working during the day; so the hotel was completely locked down at night and there was only 1 guard there at night.

Ghosts being real or not, claiming that this is fake simply because you say ghosts are not real and "there is no such thing as ghosts," is not very different than early man claiming that the Earth was flat because that's all they'd ever seen.

@colbour The part that is applicable refers to the point that in days long ago, any notion other than the world being flat was considered a superstition and a heresy; which is exactly how most people perceive ghosts, UFOs and Bigfoot. Regardless of how I feel personally about this video, going by the security guard's story, I'm honestly unable to prove it false. Could he be lying? Yes. @colbour Furthermore, if we interject our own thoughts and beliefs into the story presented to us by this security guard, then we are doing him a disservice as we are no longer looking at it objectively. If we view this as "he said, she said" that becomes the point where we diverge from being objective. After all, we were not there and we can only rely on info given to us from someone who was.
It could be a branch, but then we are assuming that there is actually a tree near the window :)

@BeanMeister22 I can only analyze the evidence presented. the evidence is 5 -8 secs of video of a near empty hotel hallway. Apparent daylight coming from the end of the hall and from in under the doors. This negates the security guards assertion that it was 2am. The "ghosts" are black blobs so far in the distance that they are recognizable.
why would a security guard carry around a video camera? was a report made to the security company? The who back story does fit the evidence provided.

In possession the entity gets inside a person due to something specific they did which allowed the spirit inside. The more common is oppression where the entity sits on your shoulder and disrupts your life. Both are bad situations and both can cause you to be under their control, in oppression the entity only knows what you do and say out loud, it cannot read your thoughts.

He could not afford the cost to fly down to where he lives, so I investigated it the best I could through phone interviews, and I had a local friend of mine visit the location and interview the guy in person. In exchange for this, he signed over all ownership of this video to me. If he is telling the truth, we might have a real sighting here.
