The gameplay was on top, tackle breaking was more effecient, the speed of the play and players were more accurate than Madden has ever been. And the best part, they had a FULL coverage HALFTIME and POSTGAME show. Not including a weekly episode recapping games with actualy gameplay clips of the games.

I'm so tired of Madden's poor excuse for halftime & post game shows. These are the things that make the game 'fun'. You want to see your team's highlights. Also during the season you want to see newspaper clippings or magazine covers showcasing your team i.e winning the division or the SuperBowl, having the leading rusher etc. These are the awards Madden players are missing & why we are getting discouraged with Madden year after year. Can't even see the entire highlight. This is just sad EA

i just hope they show highlights that actually were the "bigger" plays. not a dropped catch, not a sack that occurred on 2nd down, not a first down. but actual touchdown plays, or interceptions that led to scores. i'm tired of watching highlights from a game where the score was 38-27 or something, and the only highlights they show were a field goal from the first quarter and a garbage touchdown by the losing team in the final seconds of the game.

I've talked to Phil Frazier on Twitter about this and commentary and they invested a lot of money on a new sound tech system so they can have great commentary for the future Madden's. They are still using the same tech they had in the PS2 era, so why use that tech and go all out with commentary and a halftime show when they don't have the tech for it yet. I expect next year's commentary and halftime presentation to blow people away, just like they did with team entrances.
This is RIDICULOUS.... NFL 2K5's halftime show with Chris Berman is still better than Madden 12' s halftime show..... With all the technology and improvements made, EA Sports still can not make the halftime show like it is on Sundays on TV in the NFL..... This is a SHAME.... I'm tired of EA taking away the good things they had in the game only to put them back in the game years later and present it as new. Madden 06 and NFL2k5 are still the best 2 football games i played. But EA has gotten lazy with no competitiveness going on.

In all honesty, who cares about a half time show in a video game??? Those of you talking about 2K5's great half time show or Madden's half time show need to really wake up to reality... I don't even watch the half time show in a real football game, let alone a video game lmao... I might watch it once to say ok that's cool and then skip it the rest of the time I own the game...

We all know that ESPN NFL 2K5 was an amazing game, but come on. That was 6 years ago. Get over it already. It's over & done with & it's never coming back. And All-Pro Football 2K8 was just a complete mess of a game. So if you wanna keep living in the past talking about 2K football, don't do it on Madden videos, do it on 2K's. Everyone else will be up to date playing Madden. Have fun trying to create up-to-date rosters on 2K5! xD

I'm so tired of Madden's poor excuse for halftime & post game shows. These are the things that make the game 'fun'. You want to see your team's highlights. Also during the season you want to see newspaper clippings or magazine covers showcasing your team i.e winning the division or the SuperBowl, having the leading rusher etc. These are the awards Madden players are missing & why we are getting discouraged with Madden year after year. Can't even see the entire highlight. This is just sad EA

i just hope they show highlights that actually were the "bigger" plays. not a dropped catch, not a sack that occurred on 2nd down, not a first down. but actual touchdown plays, or interceptions that led to scores. i'm tired of watching highlights from a game where the score was 38-27 or something, and the only highlights they show were a field goal from the first quarter and a garbage touchdown by the losing team in the final seconds of the game.

Wow, what madden calls a halftime show is what nba 2k does after every quarter. This really is no where near what a halftime show is like on sunday's and madden has still not delivered in that area. sooner or later though all games will have amazing half time shows, and they will be forced to change. until then, i expect more of the same. why change when your the only nfl football game out there?

@roygib09 Actually I'm not, I just know people who have actually played the game and they all told me that the gameplay is so much better than past years and most of the guys I've talked to that told me that didn't like Madden 11. It's hard to judge what a game is like until you play it yourself. This game looks good but if I don't like the way it plays then what does it matter and vice versa

There is no way, 2k5 is not even close to how good those videos look. Plus Madden was only in the Alpha build of the game at E3, it's only going to get better. Madden 12 isn't perfect but it's going to destroy any Madden up until now.

And for those wondering about players coming out twice during team entrances they have fixed that since the E3 build, the E3 build of the game was only the Alpha version, which means its probably at least a month maybe two old.

I've talked to Phil Frazier on Twitter about this and commentary and they invested a lot of money on a new sound tech system so they can have great commentary for the future Madden's. They are still using the same tech they had in the PS2 era, so why use that tech and go all out with commentary and a halftime show when they don't have the tech for it yet. I expect next year's commentary and halftime presentation to blow people away, just like they did with team entrances.

This is RIDICULOUS.... NFL 2K5's halftime show with Chris Berman is still better than Madden 12' s halftime show..... With all the technology and improvements made, EA Sports still can not make the halftime show like it is on Sundays on TV in the NFL..... This is a SHAME.... Now I wonder if EA Sports fixed the NFL Pro Bowl problem with the players wearing their individual team helmets ???.....This is NOT TRUE TO THE GAME !!!!

You can't tell me they can't do something like it. 2K5 is 7 years old. I realize they don't have the licensing to use ESPN, but they could do their own version. They just don't seem to want to put much effort into it. Maybe it is because a lot of people skip it. I am not one of those. I might when playing against a friend, but I like to watch it.

EA is addressing the problems now because this is the last year of the exclusive deal they had with the NFL... Madden 12 should be better than NFL 2K5 in ALL AREAS BY NOW !!! IT'S BEEN 6 YEARS...We should not have to wait for EA to address the same problems year after year. You're right they fixed some things and the game will be better, but Chris Berman is much better..

The Madden12 halftime show is also better than the Madden 11 halftime show, but the ESPN NFL 2K5 halftime with Chris Berman is still better than EA's... @Patrickxworld Patrick, In the Madden 11 pro bowl game the players do not wear the individual team helmets on the next gen systems..... Only on the PS 2 version has the correct NFL pro bowl game... This has been a problem with EA Sports for 6 years now on the next gen systems.... Madden 07, 08, 09, 10, & 11 had made up pro bowls... The players are wearing NFC & AFC helmets. This is NOT true to the game... EA ignored our complaints... I hope in Madden 12 it's fixed...
