When I did a meditation to this song I saw Duat. It was pretty nice. Filled with bright light, and I also saw an eye and a downwards tunnel of darkness ringed with orange glowing light. The light flickered in and out, and when I hit the bottom it didn't hurt. It was nice. I also started feeling presences around me.

I don't know what he was thinking while creating this music, but when I listen to it and close my eyes I see a rider, on a big black horse, they are running through fields, the sky is grey, but they continue, then get in a forest and some wolfs start chasing them, he tries to speed up then next to him, another rider appears wearing a cape, it is she,they continue while the wolfs are chasing them and then they reach the castle.Yeah, I have a vivid imagination but that just pops up in my mind.

Do they have ramparts to slow the opposing army? Are they reinforced by cavalry? There's just too many variables here.....

Think of it this way then... Maybe he burned an evil city and the dragon is dying within the flames of the burning ruins, and his armour became black because of the soot and ashes. :)

Since when did the crusaders fight evil? Knights are really cool but the real ones were murderers not heroes. The honor system they created was there to keep them at least focused on the enemies.

Still this music is amazing and I much prefer the fantasy of knight's battling evil then the sad reality too.
