@robinhoodlum Well the difference between this building and WTC 7 is that the latter was demolished, otherwise it as well as the twin towers would still be standing today. Anybody who disagrees and believes that fire can cause buildings to collapse onto themselves are idiots and asinine. Yes, fires *can* cause buildings to collapse, especially when the fireproofing on the structural steel has been damaged due to the entire building being struck by large objects. Besides, the WTC's curtain walls actually supported the load of the interior floors. Once the structural integrity of the curtain walls was compromised the buildings were essentially not salvageable.

Also, OMA didn't use the same construction technique as Yamasaki. Go study architecture.

@JWall416 No fire cannot cause buildings to collapse at free fall speed as if the building had no foundation and resistance underneath it. In fact professional architectures who saw the collapse of the towers say exactly that. No tower has collapsed due to fire before or after 9/11. So I guess your just one of those people I described above that refuse to accept a clear issue and is simply retarded and blind. I have no time for the likes of you who want to remain an ignoramus.

I may be an ignoramus, but at least I know what happens when you compromise the integrity of a building with no structural redundancy. As soon as one floor buckled, the top sections of the buildings hit the floors below. It would be like dropping a bench anvil on a television table.

@JWall416 Again the building would not collapse at free fall speed due to a fire. If the top sections hit the floors below there would have been some resistance, thus the buildings wouldn't have collapsed so fast. Only in demolitions when they knock out the floors below to remove any resistance does a building collapse so fast. And many witnesses heard explosions going off in the basement of the buildings. Molten steel was present in the basement. Nano Thermite was also detected in the dust.
