@paulspeer1 Thank you for such a benevolent and magnanimous comment. I listen with my head as well as my ears. I myself compose songs in my head but alas I have no means of breathing flesh to the bones of my cerebral labour. Thank you again....
Some songs are in a dichotomy all of their own. Stored in a place where only special songs are stored. I cry when listening to this genius, I could easily melt into a mad mess in a corner listening to this. To simply say That I love it is a gargantuan understatement. Some things in life are quite ineffable.... Thank you.

Ever since I heard this on the radio when I was a kid I have loved it! One of the most amazing new age scores I have ever heard, it is frequently found on my playlists.
This makes me so happy. Used to be BGM at Epcot Wonder of Life pavilion where I worked forever ago. Happen to come up as my first song on Pandora to day when I typed in Meditation.
There was a radio station in Louisville, KY that played smooth jazz 4 hours per weeknight. I would record much of it, then try to buy what I liked best...I still have parts of that list un-found, but this is one of many that I am proud to own and still listen to
@atimtambaby do you have a jazz station still there?? this is where i got some of music too but sadly the jazz station got pulled off! errrr ppl who mess with the radio like this are annoying!
I recorded this song off of a radio station back in the early 1990s. I played in my car all the time. Once Cassettes went away, I stuggled to find it on DVD, as no one played it much anymore. Finally through the help of music identification software, I found this and Desert Rain (two of my MOST favorite songs ever). Thank you to Mr. Speer and Mr. Lanz for creating such balanced music for my listening ears. You both ROCK!!!
David Lanz and Paul Speer...what can I say, but thank you, for your heartfelt, tranquil, uplifting musical thoughts. I remember this video from the "Natural States" Hi-Fi VHS video album I used to enjoy in my early days of suffering with severe panic attacks. Natural medicine for the soul. Wonderful memories of even a brief respite from the terror that flew by daylight, for most of my teenage years. Bravo!
I do not want to get preachy, but water foremost represents cleansing or baptism so that we may have a good conscience towards God. (Romans 6:1-11). With that being said, best wishes for success for this beautiful piece of work and peace be with you!
Water has always symbolized life too me. I have dreamt of placid waters and in color, like a spirit flying over a lake and no, I wasn't doing drugs either! And sometimes ocean waters* illuminated by the reflection of the sun with dark, silhouette jagged mountains in the background. Not as in a tempest but as in a relatively peaceful way.
For the first time, 0:20 I heard the waters, never heard that before, seriously, I guess I must have always been distracted, at first I thought it was a burned out speaker, glad I was wrong. Keep up the good work!
I remember this song, I first heard it back around 1991, liked it ever since and it reminds me of a close friend I knew that died of a blood infection, but I know she's in a better place. In addition, the waterfall at 2:55 first reminded me of Rainbow Falls, Hilo, HI. But that is much larger than R/F. Thanks so much for this track, when I want to be cheered up, I listen too it.

Llevaba tanto buscando el nombre de esta canción, la usaban mucho en el Canal 11 tambien con Jaime Maussan y hasta en el tren ligero, crei que jamas la encontraria. XD
I played this song on the radio back in the early 90's. A listener had turned me on to it & loaned it to me to put on the air. I have since bought three copies of it, just so I will always have it around! I am so glad it is on You Tube!
This is my favorite song to use to relax. I always picture myself in a cave behind a little waterfall. I watch the sunlight play on the water as it trickles down, look at the rainbow in the cool mist, and generally get away from the world for a while.
As I have commented on music posted by "Musicboy52" aka David Arkenstone, I first heard New Age in the mid 80's when I got a Narada Sampler Cassette. I just love the music of both David's & Paul.
The one thing that really gets me is how you make the guitar sound most beautiful. Almost unearthly.
It would be great if you could both do more together, like another DVD.
Words cannot describe just how beautiful this work of art is. Much love has gone into it, and I thank you both for sharing it with the world. Keep up the great art of your music David and Paul. Love and light to you both.
wow...I was listening to Pandora with a channel named new age ambient...after about 10 songs this one comes on. An ex girlfriend use to play this cd all the time and it brought back so many memories of that time. When it came on Pandora I accidentally cut it off but was able to get the name...which led me here.
Cute name for a song! Well anyway. I had just FOUND the NAME of this song. 25 yrs later after I first heard it in 1986. Thanks to the Tunatic Music ID service!
I had first heard this song at Walt Disney World at Epcot and almost immediately fell in love with it. Then a few weeks later, we were at Sea World San Antonio and heard it being played around the Coral Reef exhibit. My 4 year old daughter recognized it and said "Daddy that's the Epcot" song. From that point I started to search for it. One day it played on Disney internet radio and captured the name through Shazam. Thank you for such a beautiful song. My daughter and I always listen to it.
@raven69david Thats how I found out the name of that song. ID service. Instrumental songs are almost impossible to figure out the names of! It took me 25 yrs for me to find the name. Thanks to that music ID service!
This song makes me imagine all of the microscopic creatures that live behind the waterfall. They live and eat and breathe and die without anyone noticing, but God notices and I wish I could live behind the waterfall. My healer knew Paul Speer when he was alive and he showed me this song.
Great memories with this one! It was such an inspiration to me... It helped me to start working on my own compositions... Thanks for your great music, Paul!
Sublime...so soothing to the soul. I've loved this piece since the '80s. I just need to close my eyes when listening to it and I am transported to another state beyond words. Awesome tune!
I heard this song my sophomore year of high school and it was like... it transformed me. I heard it on Kost 103.5, ( Southern California), and I listened to the station everynight at the same time in hopes that they'd play it again...never caught the name! Here I am 20 years later...and I am still tranformed! Thank you sooo much! This song and the mood it evokes in me is forever embedded in my soul! Really!
@tamaforbes Thats the SAME station I recorded that song from! I had this recording (off the radio) for 25 years! Having NO CLUE of name of this song! Found the name using the Tunatic music ID service!
hey, if you are still looking for this piece by david lanz, send me an email on mannibanez@gmail.com. i will reply with the song as attachment. i have the original cd of david lanz.
paul speer--I gotta say that you two have created a masterpiece here . . it moves beyond the realm of just a song . . . it is truly wonderful, spiritual, emotive, experientual . . . I'm grateful for the opportunity to compliment you directly. I bought this album back in the 80s and I still have it! On a cassette LOL!
I was had David Lanz music playing in the background not really knowing who this was, but just enjoying the music as I worked. And then, these mixes segued on to this song. I had no idea who made this classic song so I never knew where to look and here it was playing. I felt like I had stumbled onto a treasure! Thank you so much for loading this wonderful song Paul...

The music brought not only the most natural sounds of slience, but some moments for us to calm. We can have some deeper contemplations that we may not have a chance to do in the daily life. It helps me to fully appreciate every flowing second!
BTW, is it a religious song called "Gate gate"? I remembered hearing it once.
WOW, what a great tune... thanks guys for this amazing piece which has accompanied me in my travels for many years. Its really a treat to be able to pull it up and listen to it here.... All the best to you,
believe it or not, i first heard this song at disneyworld riding the space transit authority at tomorrowland. i dont know if it was because i was tired or just enjoying the 10 minute slow ride in the air conditioning that made me receptive to the song. anyway, i hummed the song to one of my geeky vangelis loving friends and he new exactly the song and the artists i was humming and talking about. i love this song too.
Paul Speer & David Lanz, I have a dream. I want before I die, meet you guys. I don't have money but if it's possible I will ride the world in my bike to meet you guys. Since the first time I heard this song I loved it. I Live in Mexico but It really doesn't matter. With this song I know Why I came to this world. Thanks a Lot. God bless you.
I have been inspired and uplifted many many times by this and other Speer/Lanz recordings, however I would love to be a part of a live audience. To meet others influenced by a live concert would be energizing! Are there going to be any concerts in the Tampa Bay area this year? I Would appreciate any info.
I have loved this piece for years after hearing it on a music station on our satellite feed. It wasn't until tonight when it played on my Pandora station that I was able to learn what it is. Thank You so much for sharing it here too!
You're welcome, Bandypaul. Actually, we released this in 1985 (a track from the Natural States album and video). Hard for me to believe it was that long ago!
I heard this song in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom in Tomorrowland and thought it was great. I liked it so much that I used it in a biology presentation that I did in High School. Sorry I thought it was from Disney didn't mean to lift your song. It is calming and reminds me of happy things.
@paulspeer1 What is the possibility of you and david getting together again? You guys created something uncomparable......to any of the other new age artist I have heard in quater of century since I first met you guys........truly beautiful play work.
This video reminds me of when I visited Hawaii a few years ago. My dad and I took a ride in a helicopter to admire some beautiful Hawaiian waterfalls. During the tour, this music was playing through the headphones that were provided. Although the sound wasn't very good, the music was definitely awesome!
To me, this will always be the background music in Tomorrowland at Disney World's Magic Kingdom.

No. Almost all the smooth jazz stations around the country are gone. Here
in the Atlanta area we have gone through three: One of the commercial stations turned into a "Jesus Station"
and the other is a crap...err...rap station (that's probably the wrong term,
but the first one is accurate. San Francisco, Chicago, New Orleans (my home town) and others have lost their smooth jazz stations all for bigger
bucks. How much is enough money?
Warmly,

Thanks to the Tunatic Music ID service!
fueledbymusic3 1 year ago

Really!

I remembered hearing it once.

believe it or not, i first heard this song at disneyworld riding the space transit authority at tomorrowland. i dont know if it was because i was tired or just enjoying the 10 minute slow ride in the air conditioning that made me receptive to the song. anyway, i hummed the song to one of my geeky vangelis loving friends and he new exactly the song and the artists i was humming and talking about. i love this song too.

Natural States is one of my favourites albums.
20 years ago I watched this video. This song has a speecial "magic"; when you are stressed, it makes you relax, it makes you want to "fly" there....
to feel the breeze, watch the streght and beauty of the waterfall.
Thank you Paul for remember this moment!
God Bless You!

I have been inspired and uplifted many many times by this and other Speer/Lanz recordings, however I would love to be a part of a live audience. To meet others influenced by a live concert would be energizing! Are there going to be any concerts in the Tampa Bay area this year? I Would appreciate any info.

I heard this song in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom in Tomorrowland and thought it was great. I liked it so much that I used it in a biology presentation that I did in High School. Sorry I thought it was from Disney didn't mean to lift your song. It is calming and reminds me of happy things.

This video reminds me of when I visited Hawaii a few years ago. My dad and I took a ride in a helicopter to admire some beautiful Hawaiian waterfalls. During the tour, this music was playing through the headphones that were provided. Although the sound wasn't very good, the music was definitely awesome!
