Great arrangement! I would imagine Ms. Glen was quite a formidable pianist in person, and I think it's too bad she didn't make solo piano records. Of course the editor cut in the melody in tremolo in a couple places in this roll, so it goes a bit beyond what's humanly possible for one person to play (I have only ever heard one live person who was able to play two-handed also adding this effect, and they were not an original 1920's pianist). But still - hot piano! Nice swing, and nice breaks too.
Your rolls are in great shape for being so old. Most of what I had when I had my player had turned yellow and were very fragile.....You've got a great piano too.........
Most of these rolls are yellow and fragile as well. The tracking mechanism for the rolls is kept in scrupulous condition. This prevents damage on playing and rewind. I would never consider playing these on a piano without automatic tracking. I have another piano that has a manual tracking and I will only play new rolls on that thing.
