  • thumbs up if you really want to learn this, but your too lazy to change your tunings.

  • Michael Manring, essentially mentioning Michael Hedges(master) without saying it. A fabulous piece for certain, but let's remember the master, who gave us this sound...

  • Can't get enough of Eriks's music its so great to listen too. I was hooked after Air Tap! can't wait to hear more from the wonderful artist.

  • awesome stuff! How do you play concerts when your songs have all these crazy tunings? Do you have a guitar for each song?

  • that, my friends is an expression of pain and sorrow but there is a hint of warmth in there also, is that even possible???

  • Every time I watch your videos and listen to you play I am completely blown away.... I think and certainly hope you will be known as one of the greatest guitar geniuses of the 21st century! What I would give for the merest flake of your talent.... woah....

  • If I could just play that intro, I feel I would have accomplished something in life.

  • This song sends chills down my spine.

  • eric....i love you

  • I definitely need your pick up. What PU do you use for this guitar?

  • Best part starts at 2:45. Best chord at 2:59 and awesome from there on! So dynamic!

  • My friends and I had the pleasure of seeing him on Monday night (front row seats) in a tiny venue and got to talk to him after the show. He's a very pleasant guy as is Ben who's playing bass. They were both more than happy to have pics and video taken with us too.Big :-)

  • Alone In The Mist : BF#DF#AC# (d)(d)(-)(d)(d)(d)

  • Are they steel strings, or Nylon?!

    do you also use bronze?

  • no just steel strings nanoweb Elixir

  • what company of guitar is that?

  • It's a custom guitar made by John Kingslight.

  • 3:18 is beautiful

  • Excellent !

  • brilliance...............

  • awsome........

  • the part from 2:06 to 2:23 it's my favourite....aaaaaah it killing me...very excelente Man waw!!!

  • So powerful!! Amazing!!

  • Bass was cool but at times it almost got in the way.

  • he plays so much more then Just the Guitar!

  • Wow! i really love what he does with echo! Very unique! very beautiful!

  • Absolutely amazing, Erik you are perhaps one of my biggest idols, I absolutely admire your gift of guitar playing. As for the fretless, that was also awesome:)

  • the thing I like about the fretless sound is that when you slide to/from a note it sounds like this big drop or raise in pitch, really smooth, whereas on a fretted bass you can hear the note change only as you go over a fret.

  • very nice... I'm lovin' the fretless!

  • I was at the fest for this, it was pretty magical, I got to meet him the day after his show after a workshop he did.

  • The most obvious one is the variety of pitch. With a fretless, you have an infinite amount of notes to hit, as it's dependent on where exactly your fingers are, not which fret you're on. other than that, it's like the other guy said, the tone is different, less sustain, but a warmer sound.

  • I am truely numb after hearing this. Thankyou for sharing your art with us.

  • Complex and beautiful, and full of fire and soul. Another excellent video, man...keep 'em coming!

  • You don't hear the string vibrate against the fret above when you play a note.

  • you`re a friggin genius !!!

  • Love what the bass adds. (y)

  • Must be good drugs available up North, huh?

  • Great stuff as usual =)

  • Hi, It would be very interesting to hear what you had in mind when composing this song.

  • he said in a different video tht he composed it after a girl broke up with him

  • Excellent performance.

Man, I wish I could have been there. I live an hour from where the Philly Folk Fest is but this week, I'm in Vermont.

  • Very good preformance. I wanted to go just to see Erik Mongrain and The Derek Trucks Band. But I had band practice both of those days.

  • T'es vraiment bon Éric, lache pas man!

  • What did he say at the end? "Thankyou guys cheers for......."

  • ...... Ben

  • Is this new I have not heard this before

  • yeah! high quality! awesome :-)

  • flying....

  • Ahahaa, that gave me chills!!

I'm very "Original" in my complimenting, so, if i might say, it was extravagant!!

  • wow.

  • Very cool! Wish I could've been there to see it...

  • yay! What a great thing to wake up to this morning :) More Erik videos :D Merci :D

  • Amazing
