i think its just the cheap poor quality ones which aren't good. If you buy the ceramic ones or high quality ones then no problem but you still need to be careful about nont overheating them on high powered burners.

olive oil isn't good for cooking, it isn't heat stable and the by product is toxic.

coconut oil however is heat stable and is healthier for cooking.

olive oil is good for you... just not for cooking.

My class tested non teflon pans from china (usually you find these everywhere) and they tested positive for lead. But whats really scary is we sent the results of our test to government agencies and didnt get one response. Green day is right "the subliminal mind fuck America"

You're right, cannot gamble with health. however i bought this new pan (with teflon two weeks ago) and now i'm concerned, i made fishsticks last week that have this hard crust, i use oil but last time by taking out the food it scraped the pan ever so slightly, you do not feel the scratches if you go over them with your finger, still this got me worried. you only see the scratches with bright light coming from an angle. man, i dont have any money only enough to eat and i have to..

Not true, look at all those crash diet drugs out there, among other things that are bad for the human body, that makes people money. Or the fact Teflon is used in Mercedes.

Not only do those chemicals release into the food, the Teflon also after so many uses starts breaking away from the pan.

That's not true, but the Teflon can make you very ill especially if it breaks off into your food.

Crash diets yes are bad in themselves, but so are the pills no over the counter drug is safe no matter how good the FDA approves it or lets it be known they haven't tested it.

Further more there is a reason why, when your dealing with Teflon to clean out the machines or etc that you have to wear the full white suit and mask/goggles.
