And yet they ignore how, over the last 30 years or so, how many really sophisticated flight simulations and detailed strategy games and hardcore RPG's have been sold! Falcon 4.0 has an 800 page manual! Darklands, a mid 90's RPG by Microprose has a nearly 200 page manual!

Has anyone noticed how while presenting America's Army, when a player aims through the sights or looks through the scope never shots one single fire, while in Under Siege the kid shoot israelis like target practice?

The kid complains that in an american video game, arabs are the enemy. He then goes on to play Under Siege and praises it because you kill Israeli soldiers. Maybe someone needs to teach the kid what hypocrisy is.

I've played a LOT of FPS games and not one has ever encouraged you to "have fun" killing arabs. If it's arabs at all, it's the terrorist element while civilians are off limits. Terrorists give arabs a bad name so why wouldn't an arab want to play a game in which you kill terrorists?

That being said this documantary doesn't seem evil to me or anything like that, a little poorly research maybe, but no evil intentions. I seriously loled on the part about Will Wright, Spore is the very definition of epic fail (though it's probably EA's fault for the most part).

However games as propaganda in Syria and other dictatorships are a worrying thought and we should all be concerned.
