I think that the people bewailing the exclusion of their favorite Ongpin eatery should consider the fact that Binondo/Chinatown holds enough foodie treasures to merit one or two seasons of No Reservations. A lot of information/eateries might have been edited out and I really am disturbed by the comments against Ivan, He sure does seem starstruck(and maybe not to his usual standards).... but then again wouldn't you be?

boomer737, it's New Mañosa, not menosa's. I believe the hopia you are referring to is from Eng Bee Tin (since Mr. Ube is affiliated with Eng Bee Tin and they are the makers/originators of ube hopia.)

I guess you aren't from Ongpin as well boomer737, so what gives you the right to question Ivan's credentials to be the guide? He is able to facilitate tours because he's multilingual and I believe he started the whole foodie tour thing in Binondo.

u know, ivan is right about the chicken balls we still have fishballs and squidballs though.. and he did say seafood, he said street food! so he's right again. but for us here who live and grew up in that area he is featuring, he is doing a terribly lousy job! what a dipstick! so many other delicious food in ongpin street and he brings tony to chickenball and pansit! and pansit is not anything its noodles mixed with something!
