I have been riding a motorbike for 2yrs now and my dad has been riding for 35-40 years.
Motorbikes aren't dangerous its those A**holes in cars who "think" that they can drive just because their parents bought them a license Or the guys that hop onto the biggest fastest motorbike that their parents will buy them and say that they can ride just because they know how to start the bike and twist the throttle
you can die just walking out your house and getting in your car so regardless what you do your still taken chances, but on the other hand your taken more of a chance on a bike, but its still nice to ride them i will always ride them

funny thing about crashes is it makes u an more alert and aware rider. a better one if you will. i crashed a scooter at 45mph on a gravel back road, hurt like hell gravel rash. this was before i had my licence and was my mates bike ahha anyway i was still scared of me first bike but u always get back up and on them
@DoPe993 you are right; i was at a red light on a bike, and some chick at a white focus crashed me, i was lying and couldn't stand up like for 5 minutes, the doc said my legs and body where in shock, so that's why i couldn't move, the helmet split in half and it was something i would never ever want to experience again... i been riding bikes from 4 years since, and i will never ever ride without a helmet, and i do care more about the other drivers now.

Motorcycles are hard to see, but it helps if actually look for them sometimes, that's one of the reasons shoulder checks and mirrors were invented. In L.A., where I live, people drive like nuts, half of them probably couldn't tell you where their rear view mirror is, let alone us it.

Vehical drivers do need to take special precautions when near a bike rider but please for the love of god, if you ride a bike PLEASE don't think you own the road. now i know not all of you do but for those of you who think the laws don't apply to you because your on a bike....go buy a car and stay the hell off my windsheild.
There is no question, riding motorcycles is really very dangerous. There's a lot to look out for, and people don't always see you. There's nothing insulting or derogatory about this vid. If you ride long enough, you'll know that.
No riding a motorbike is NOT dangerous, basically it lies at the nut at the end of the steering wheel! Everybody that legally rides a motorbike has to pass a test and know how to ride one. Trouble is half of the pictures on here are the bikes T-boned the cars, obviously caused by the car carelessly pulling out just as the motorbike is coming therefore he has no time to stop! Hmm yes there are fewer bikes , but there are also more faitalitys with car drivers than proportion of bikes. Also there are fewer faitalitys with bikes than the press or motoring orginisations would have you beleive . @kukuruyuk I've seen people die in 35 mph crashes on impact. There is NO guarantee ANYBODY will survive ANY accident regardless of who they are or what they drive. I've seen and know guys that have been in bike accidents head on at about 110 mph and survived. One of them actually went straight through a wall at 80 some odd mph and lived to talk about it.
My point is not to refute how much more dangerous either is, but rather to say there ARE dangers present.

i agree with " stopglobalswarming " when ever there is a motorcycle crash you can almost always look for the reason in the person that was infront of him or behind him people dont notice that we on motorcycles can out accelerate and out brake anything else on the road and give us are space nice time you think about pulling out in front a bike think about if your son or daughter was on that bike i bet you would wait for the bike to pass you ...

Speaking of myself I am not an experienced rider at all, I have a licence that is recongised in europe capable to ride any size of motorcycle however, here in Malta there is no respect to one another in driving cars, meaning owing a sports bike you re have way in the coffin, which is a traditionaly way of thing here in my place. it has always been my dream and a uniquefeeling

No riding a motorbike is NOT dangerous, basically it lies at the nut at the end of the steering wheel! Everybody that legally rides a motorbike has to pass a test and know how to ride one. Trouble is half of the pictures on here are the bikes T-boned the cars, obviously caused by the car carelessly pulling out just as the motorbike is coming therefore he has no time to stop! So car drivers fault, but the biker comes out worse. Shame I must say!

Hmm yes there are fewer bikes , but there are also more faitalitys with car drivers than proportion of bikes. Also there are fewer faitalitys with bikes than the press or motoring orginisations would have you beleive . Not only that given the fact we dont realy hear much of boy racers getting killed , and they do , its just biking in the whole is demonised .

@kukuruyuk I've seen people die in 35 mph crashes on impact. There is NO guarantee ANYBODY will survive ANY accident regardless of who they are or what they drive. I've seen and know guys that have been in bike accidents head on at about 110 mph and survived. One of them actually went straight through a wall at 80 some odd mph and lived to talk about it.
My point is not to refute how much more dangerous either is, but rather to say there ARE dangers present.

Stupid Video. Hazards like Cars, Trucks, Lamposts, Crash Barriers? These are all ROAD hazards not BIKE hazards. Any driver on the road has to be wary of these things. Riding a bike IS dangerous. Driving a car is ALSO dangerous.
Regardless of what you drive, once you're on the road of LIFE you're open to risk. You can be a safe car, bike, truck, tractor, crane or whatever driver all the days of your life and still be killed in an accident. Onesided BS this vid is.

I understand what the people who posted this video are trying to do. But and it is a big but, it also indicated bike riding should be only ridden on a track and not on the roads. Should cars be only driven on a track? Using that logic then the same could be said for the car drivers involved in some of them! Just because you ride a bike on the road it does not mean you will suffer an incident like those unfortunates featured in the video. Which is an insult to all motorcyclists.

It wouldn't be half as dangerous if there weren't fucking idiots driving 4 wheelers. I drive an 18wheeler for a living and see the stupidest shit, like people tailgating motorcycles, cutting across 4 lanes, slamming their brakes after cutting off diesel trucks, and driving up on the right side of turning trucks. Bikers don't do that shit too often here. They just speed too much.
