because pidgeot is a Flying type, so he knew he could resist watevr Grass type attack Tangrowth used. but, i dont think he planned on it being a Critical Hit.

Vaporeon and Zangoose seem to be the strongest links of his bunch. Had Focus Blast hit, I am positive you could have taken Vaporeon out, or at least lowered its health a great deal after Wu Nasty Plotted. Oh well...Focus Blast is not the most reliable move, that's for sure, neither are the other attack TMs at Veilstone. :(
