It is funny. When I do my 30-45 min run or walk every other day, this song, along with "One Nation Under a Groove", and the long verison of "America" by Prince are the only three songs that I need to keep me motivated.....and I never get tired of listening to them either. This is 15 mins of pure Funk heaven!!!

Well done my brotha'! It took me years to find this version. Every CD version of the past 25 years have always contained some crappy re-mash or short version of this rendition. You have totally made my day (perhaps month). Back in the day when I was a DJ in the late '70s, when no one wanted to dance, and the hard brothas with the cool pose were holding up the wall and wanted to get their mack on, this song always got everyone on the floor. Best dance and funk song of all time yo'!

George Clinton just knew how to put a groove together. I listen to this song and from the opening drum smacks it makes you wanna dance. Back in the day they took pride in putting together a song and layered it with so much little things that you always heard something different everytime you listened to it. Today's artist could learn a lot from these masters of funk. No broken beats just steady funk that makes you wanna move.

the music of today is mainly based on autotuning and electronic overlays and covering. very few "artists" today can even compare to the real music of yesterday. real musicians, real singers - vocalising, really true performances and entertainment. who today actually plays the instruments in a live performance? I can name a few like prince or george clinton, who in fact produced and arranged all of parliament and funkadelic's music...
