The social problems doesent exist because of gender discrimination, but because of socio-economic conditions (culture also have something to say). Gender equality is a bi product of culture. And per se GE isnt the solution to all world problems.

The first step to obtaining gender equality is to end both female and male genital mutilation (a.k.a. "circumcision"). And we can't just end female circumcision, otherwise we will make things worse!
