Plan for Greek Cities destroying Rome:

On 1st turn attack syracuse in sicily. Do not take the Carthaginian city.

After taking Syracuse just camp out and upgrade Sparta's and other cities buildings in order to recruit heavy hoplites and Spartans.

Always upgrade your navy to keep the Brutii out of Greece.

After creating 3 armies of men (1 with ONLY Spartans and 2 with a tactical mix of troops) u r ready to just go in from sicily and beta the shit out of Romans.

This plan really works. :)

Vikings come from the followers of the Asatru religion of Scandanavia. It's way old, all Celtic cultures had something along the lines of Beserkers... Infact all nations in the world, though the word Beserker was coined by Scandanavians. To be honest though Scandanavia is a bordering nation to Germany anyway so it wouldn't be suprising if they had Berkzerkerzzz too. Vikings were about as well as far as I know around 600AD to 1100AD ROUGHLY, though I dunno.

no, that is not true, berserkers can route by loss of troops or by numbers of good troops. All you have to do is surround them, which is easy because they are almost always in berserker mode. I have the game and 10 beserkers vs 15 noble cavalry that are upgraded, and the person controlling them is smart enough, you can easily beat berserkers.

Peasant fights always look impressive, until you realize that peasants are about.... 1/20th as good man for man as a real combat unit, so...really, it's more like 49 berserkers killing 250 men. Not that that's not still impressive, mind you :D

routing peasants is nothing i had 2 units of ordinary berzerkers in a multiplayer game with a friend and they actually routed 2 heavy cavalry and about 6 camel cavalry and then continued to rout the rest of the army lol

The Greeks fought in a shield wall and many "Barbarians" did so as well. For the Spartans fighting individually out of formation was punished since you treatened the formation.

I tried Berserkers vs every factions strongest unit. NO upgrades, me controling Berserkers becouse AI doesnt trigger warcry so they dont go heroic. Results: Berserkers vs Bull Warriors= Berserkers, Berserkers vs Legionary First Cohort=Berserkers, Berserkers vs Silver Shield Pikeman=Berserkers, Berserkers vs Pharaoh Pikeman=Berserkers, Berserkers vs Spartans=Berserkers, Berserkers vs Chatapracts=Chatapracts, Berserkers vs Armoured Elephants=Armoured Elephants... try it if u dont believe me.

There are hundreds of identical videos, they're fucking easy to make, and everyone that actually has played the game has already experimented plenty, so we get sick of these fucking videos. Let me tell you something: Those fully upgraded berserkers have 2 hitpoints(incredibly hard to kill) and have like 40 attack and 20 defense. Peasants have 1 attack, 1 defense. Not a fair game.

in SPQR mod the Berserkers r very cool & good, with blood on their faces & axes. in spqr mod i tried 1 unit of Berserkers vs 1 unit of Roman legionary first cohort & after a struggle when both sides lost over 50% they managed to beat my 1 unit of Romans, so, 1 on 1 theyr better, but not vs praetorian guard cos they were beaten but they'r good indeed.
