Cloudland Ballroom Brissy as support to Madness, :-( God I feel so old and sad , still I wouldnt have missed the 70s/80s LOLThanks for posting , MS , Southampton , England
Hope this band reforms..they had so many hit songs in a row...and without doubt the best live band in aussie rock...better than chisel and all the others put together..they held the record at the San Miguel Cammeray..people way back in the toilets listening tom them..and 100s inside the place...best album of 1979!!!!
Bought the album in 1980 on vinyl. It changed my world. I was 17. It rocked my world. You guys were my heroes! Saw you live at pubs in Sydney and Melbourne and those venues always went off...before the fucking pokie lounges took over. BRING BACK PUB ROCK!!!
You know, on almost every album I've ever bought, there is maybe 2 or 3 good songs (the singles of course) and the rest are just crap. But with "The Sportz" every song I've ever heard of theirs has just been pure gold, nothing dodgy at all.
Great pub band saw them many times at the Pier hotel in Frankston so many good memories scottie
