What about the endings for Metroid II and Super Metroid? Samus showed A LOT of skin back then, when Gumpei Yokoi was STILL ALIVE and PRODUCER of the Metroid games.

And then there's the 'zero suit' look in Echoes and Corruption, which made Smauds look like a glorified Barbie doll.

The endings of Metroid 1, 2, and 3 were hardly what you can hardly call "explicit", nor are they skin-tight and unbelievable. A bikini is a lot different than say.. a dominatrix suit. Speaking of which.. I've been against the Zero Suit from day 1, and I detest it with a passion. I'm sure poor Gunpei is rolling in his grave. There's a difference in tone between the original game endings and the ones we're seeing now.

I'd like the zero suit a whole lot better if Samus hadn't looked like a slab of silicone at the end of Echoes and Corruption. Plus, it's a bitter reminder of Zero Mission, a textbook case of why I typically shun remakes.

But I think Gunpei Yokoi would be more concerned with the overall quality of the new Metroid games than just the endings. And Fusion, Prime, Echoes and Corruption ALL delived the goods.

@Celdrach I do. Myself. I beat Metroid Prime 2 when I was 12 and died twice (once on the spider guardian, once on the boost guardian). When I was 13 (I'm still 13) I beat it on hard mode without dying ONCE. I can understand if you don't believe me, but it is certainly possible to acheive.
