  • Cool.

I've only just started using blender and that stuff is inspiring :{D

  • Music?

  • @AcceleratorVids just check mstreeter11 comment:

'According to the end credits, the music is by Jan Morgenstern, and the song is listed as "Blender Demo Reel (Siggraph 2005)" on his references page at wavemage.'

  • some say that you have to use blender 5 to 8 years

to really model something is that true ?

  • @rigomortisfxstudios No way! Maybe it takes 2 years to become real pro, but I doubt that. You can learn basics in a week or so. It depends on how 'artist' you are - even though I am terrible (I can't draw or anything) I learned to use blender quite well. If you want to learn everything blender has to offer, I believe it can take some months or even a year. But it also depends on how often you play with it. But it is fun.

Those 5 - 8 years is absolute nonsense!

  • According to the end credits, the music is by Jan Morgenstern, and the song is listed as "Blender Demo Reel (Siggraph 2005)" on his references page at wavemage.com.

  • wow no one? really no one knows the name of this song? or the artist???

  • i only disliked this beause the character near the end being subjected to weird things.

some art is want t' be, others like the robot chair is a waiting career.

maybe im too sensitive - sorry, superhappyize/decihex

  • btw what song is this i LOVE it... this video is 100% the reason i am learning blender

  • @AoiMitsuko I'm glad you liked it. I hope you gave blender a try ;) it is great to work with it. Creating everything your imagination is capable of...

  • i have Blender but haven't used it in a while because its so hard to use. i needed this video to motivate me again....oh yeah and... 1:09 companion cube? sorry lol i was just thinking about Portal :)

i want to know though how long does it take to get this good? years? i only started barely and im having a hard time. yet i really want to make stuff like this and animation. i will keep trying, these are amazing. these are enough to make me want to keep trying :) beautiful work here.

  • @CloudWatcherX i have been using blender for almost 5m months now and i have gotten good at it but not nearly as good as these people! check out my videos and see for yourself that it dosent take so much time it only take courage...

  • @CloudWatcherX no way. Not years. If you gave it half an hour every day, you'll master it in months.

  • @UTMadMan oh ok, thanks. i will keep trying then :)

  • @CloudWatcherX I hope you'll have fun with blender ;) there are many tutorials and helpful community, so don't hesitate and ask if you have any problem.

  • sucks that its only in 360p, 1080p would be nice.

  • what's the name of the song?

  • i lol'ed so much at Miss Universe in 4001,,, xDD

  • beautiful work.

  • if they all would make a game together, crisis would got no chance^^

  • Ehhh. I'm not really feeling these. Then again, I'm doing nothing waiting for a copy of Maya to fall in my lap so maybe I should at least use this an an introduction.

  • Which Blender3d did u download 32 Bit or 64 Bit

    Please

  • @oklogger123 you should get the one that fit's you're system, if ure not sure, it's probably 32bit

  • Blender is freaking hard!!!

  • This is a 2006 upload amd still looking great. Imagine what can be done with the Blender 2.5 /python

  • This is what I want to do with my life. Digital Art. What's the song called though?

  • very nice! I like!

  • gotta say thats insane.

  • well.. I still have not figured out how to put color to stuff in blender..

  • wow this is amazing! i am going to work more on blender maybe i will get this good someday

  • wow shit!!! AWESOME! maaan, think if these people got together for one year!!

  • This is not made by you.. Get your art

  • 0:30 I swear thats a photo!

  • i knew i was right in choosing blender :D, this is definitely a reassuring video to keep me motivated :)

  • Im not good at making 3d but a tip is to do more emotions in the faces when its a movi othervise they look stoned ;)

  • awesome!!!

    no tienen madre!

  • great, I'm starting to love blender, hehe

    btw: who've made the background-music?

  • How much experience did you have when you made this?

  • At 0.19 you probably got that from the spiderman 2 game

  • @333MasterPivot spiderman2 actually used blender for some of its special effects

  • mayaaaa's better

  • @3timesinarow try saying that to blenders newest stuff

  • @3timesinarow

Any idea how much Maya costs?

  • @MyAshraff if you aren't being ironic, Maya 2010 is about 6000 USD for personal and commercial use, enjoy your bankruptcy.

  • wow O_o

  • It is simply astounding that these were made with a free program. I tried Blender several years ago, but hated the interface - I think it deserves more attention and another try.

  • @Gunnerkelly I love blender and sure the interface is daunting at first.. but that doesnt mean people should just give up..

    Practise makes perfect right?

  • @xXxAshersxXx Exactly. I think one of the best ways to learn is to follow youtube tutorials. If you've never used any other 3D program before, it's a lot of new vocabulary, so step-by-step visuals are especially helpful.

  • @elvee79 Yeah basically blender is as good as any other types of 3D software and its powerful enough to create great models! :D and step-by-step visuals are very helpful I agree.

  • <:-0 speechless.

  • i need to remember closing my mouth after this xD

  • All I can say is: WOW!! The first few look so real! The next looked so awesome! The others looked like real paintings!! I am DEFINATELY going to have to learn this software! I wish to blend like a pro now! Hope all who agree have a happy blending!

  • Wow! amazing stuff =D

  • great

  • You want to make your own unique intro? goto /watch?v=KqYJ_i2hlcc

  • @rhondaleggett its not unique anymore when everyone uses it dumbass

  • if you make water do you use a plane with a texture and then animating it!

    or do you bake fluids?

    please response.

    thx

  • Wow......just......wow.

  • amazing you should try blender2.5alfa2

  • Fantastic! I knew that blender could accomplish these feats....it is the ," How to do it?", that is really a scholarly task Well done. Thanks!

  • ANIM8OR

  • i like men in bed grrrrrrrr and in da bath tub

  • i'm sold! i'm gonna dl blender!!

  • @ExperimentalSurgeon sold on a free program ^^,

  • The music for this video is fantastic...

  • @Igivecrabs NO

  • @Igivecrabs

    i agree

  • I gave up using Blender. It was too annoying and complicated for me. I ended up sticking with 3DSM.

  • lol that sounds so backwards

blender for me is just hard to get used to and 3dsm is quite a bit expensive

    but eh

  • I never thought 3dsm was that good...

I could never get that hang of it's interface..

it was just ridiculous to me...

  • what was complicated in blender?

  • Well, I have used Maya, 3DSM, Softimage XSI, and Blender. I like Blender as far as what it can do but I had trouble navigating and just doing some of the same stuff in the same way as 3DSM (Such as merging vertices, using the lighting properly, bump mapping, alpha channel for textures, reflective textures, etc).

  • I don't have a problem with Blender, I personally would love to give it another try if someone would teach me but there were so little tutorials I could find online. I guess it's basically that I got more use to using other programs that learning a fourth one was getting too much.

  • SAME but you have to give a try dont just give up

  • eeh, kind of agree

  • sorry again, do not wait until the end

  • sorry, who's the author of the music?

  • It's all in the Subsurface Scattering...

  • Really Nice. The Music was Perfect!

  • agreed!

  • the robot at 5:43 was my favorite

  • 4:30 - 4:45 its like a horror game

0:43 is made with blender???omg lots of work, i mean blender is 3d right?

  • Oh, so u mean u can do it better..? Have u even open blender once...? I guess u didn't, so stfu plox :3

  • wtf? are u ok?

i where just impressed of this "lake" picture because blender is a 3d programm and u have to model everithing in 3d and this would take lots of time... i never could do something like this.

PS: i've opened blender a few days ago, but i closed it as i understoud that its to complicated for me :-)

  • Ow sorry, totally misunderstood u then xD I've opened it a few times aswell, and I don't know anything about it yet. xD But I get Blender as a subject on school, so I learn how to use Blender, and what to do with it... ^^ Hope I could make a vid like this once too! ^^

  • np :)

  • lol what kind of school uses and open source 3d modeling software? I've been to many schools that only work with maya and 3ds max...

  • @twistedmelno5, schools in san antonio texas use Blender3D in school and the Malaysian Govt is planning on introducing high school students to Blender3D. You can even find videos of the school which uses blender from

jbeckneisdnet's channel. You didnt look/check first.

  • Cool, I didnt know this since I work mainly in Florida. But it is nice to know that schools will be putting blender out their so that kids can learn when schools dont offer such high profile programs like maya.

  • Try out the tutorials by super3boy (dont know if i spelled it right). They helped me a lot by understanding the basics.

  • Or just look at the instruction manual on the official website, that helped me a lot.

  • ye iv just started using blender, at first it seems like alot to take in

  • You people who made these masterpieces, you're geniuses!! I'm just starting out in Blender and all I have to say is Wow!

  • really, i bet you could do all that, it just takes patients

  • y i download it n install it 1st it really work very well but after like a week ,i cant open the program y?i tried to uninstall or restart comp alot of time but it still wont work ? anyone noe how to solve the problem?

  • happened to me also. i think u should try downloading an older version

  • the worked one is same version as the crack one.

  • Quicktime

If you have Quicktime installed, Blender attempts to link with it on startup. Quicktime versions 6 and 7 are reported to work, but the free "Alternative Quicktime" version 7 is reported to crash Blender on startup.

From the Blender site. I tried it and sure enough it fixed it for me ;)

  • so now i hav to do ??? for fix my blender?

  • Did you try uninstalling that program?

  • i tried uninstall the program and redownload the installer alot of time but still wont work !

  • Did you try to uninstall alternative quicktime version 7?

  • i uninstall the (a)quicktime Version 7, and download quicktime player 7,n reinstall the blender,it did work XD ! Ty alot for ur help ,i hav been a few month dint touch blender already, now i finaly can use it again, ty alot !!! i back to blender Yahoo!~

  • No problem ;) Glad it works!

  • awsome pictures and animation, and also a beautiful song. 5*

  • make a tutorial

  • How do you get blender.

  • in the website, lol

just google "blender download" and you´ll get there ;)

  • go on its website. and its actually free ^^

  • sooo..........real.......i don't know,this is incedible,the money moutain was a nice touch,5/5 fav,how ?,it's the most realistic cgi i've seen,matching billion dollar movies,from a free program,ur amazing

  • most of the time you have to pay for programs that do this quality, but this... is... FREE! (wow, i hated 300 and i still had a moment)

  • Unbelievable that this is done with blender... I never knew that this was possible! It has given me hope!

  • Ummmm Blender is way too clumsy to do the things it just did? Now that doesn't even make sense....

  • Try some of the other tools, such as Truespace or Maya PLE or even Lightwave, they're all much more user intuitive than Blender has ever been. As I said Blender is way too clumsy for this sort of work. And your understanding of the term clumsy is also indicative of clumsiness with the English language. :)

  • Don't tell me what to do. I've tried many 3d modeling tools. Your first comment made it sound like ms paint(assuming paint means ms paint) is more powerful than blender. That is arguable, but I'm pretty sure just about everyone would agree blender is more powerful than ms paint. I'm just helping to show how hypocritical it is of you to be stating something is way too clumsy to do something it can do.

  • If you say something is way too clumsy to do something, you're saying it is impossible to do that thing at all because of it's clumsiness. Saying it is impossible for something to do something that it has been proved it can do is hypocritical.

  • If I say it's impossible to do something with something then I am saying it's impossible to do something with something. If I say it's clumsy to do something with something then I am saying there are better tools for the job, dummy. Your knowledge of the term clumsy is clumsy. Get the point yet? For example, it's clumsy trying to erase a pen with an eraser. Use whiteout!

  • Don't get snotty with my you little fucktard. Maybe you should just stick to your native language. Sounds to me like I either have to repeat myself of you just have to go and re-read my previous post. You didn't say it's clumsy at something, you said it's too clumsy to do something. I'll have to give some examples now of what I mean. Here's an example: John is too clumsy to walk up that hill, because every time he tries he falls in the rabbit hole. Meaning John cannot walk up the hill at all.

  • Do not that I merely expressed my opinion about a software product, and you took it personally and started swearing. My native language does not allow people such as yourself to live or to be on the same planet. I stand by what I said. Blender is way too clumsy for the animation of anything practical. It can be done, but it is, way, way, way too clumsy. When you learn maya and Lightwave or even 3DS you'll know why.

  • But other people have their own opinion. Others would say that Blender has the most beautiful interface ever. It all ends to preference. It may also have to do with familiarity.

I read your posts but Intuitiveness is different from non clumsiness. Intuitive means you could use it with little previous knowledge like properly structured menus. Non clumsy means it does not hinder you while using it (assuming you're knowledgeable of the tool) like making a frequently used tool quick to access.

  • sorry for my spelling mistakes in my last post, I was typing crazy fast. Mistake 1: my should be me on the first line. Mistake 2: of should be or on the third line. Anyways, here's an example now of that same situation, but using the meaning clumsy instead of too clumsy: John is clumsy at walking up the hill, so he occasionally trips and steps in rabbit holes, but it is not impossible for him to make it to the top. There may be someone better for the job for making it to the top but John can too

  • I just clicked "spam" on your previous post, it wasn't written in any respectful way. Sorry but that's what it was, spam, yup, pure and simple.

And there might be someone better than John to get up on the top of that hill. And that's why I don't use Blender, because there is someone better. Lightwave is one fine example.

  • Give me disrespect and it's what you'll get back. I now believe you need to look up the proper definition of spam. I think it would be better for everyone if you just posted all your comments in your native language, or spend another 4 years studying English.

  • I haven't disrespected you, yet. You swore, not me.

  • Hmmm interesting.... I monitor my own actions so I couldn't say what you just did because that would be a lie. Lets look at your 3rd post in this chain where you called me a dummy:

"If I say it's clumsy to do something with something then I am saying there are better tools for the job, dummy."

There you have it, you were put on my bad side.

  • Please stop relying as it's pointless. You owe me an apology and you need to check your English. All I did was express my opinion that Blender is clumsy and you went apeshit over the usage of the word "dummy" and started swearing. That's like a copy beating someone because they blinked wrongly. And then you say "I monitor my own actions so I couldn't say what you just did because that would be a lie" and that's not quite grammatically correct, either. You're making quite a lot of mistakes!!

  • Swearing isn't always being rude or disrespectful, yet calling someone a dummy is. I think we owe each other an apology, so I'm sorry. Here's an example of how swearing isn't rude or disrespectful:

    "Your background is fucking awesome!"

Now maybe you can supply me of how calling the person you're talking to a dummy isn't always rude/disrespectful.

  • Very good compilation!

  • omg, what the hell of program is this?! WOW, it's all like in the reality, I hope people who use this do not confuse this with reality or reverse DX

  • and its done with a FREE 3d program

  • i was wondering if you could transfer a rendered model of an animal and place it into a real world video

  • yes you can. Sertch for Blender Voodoo tutorial.

Then you should get a tutorial for how to put an animated object in to a "real" video.

  • Blender is ... the best? maybe not but for an open source it could be better than the others like Maya. Because the Blender community is bigger to develop the soft than the few developers who are paid to develop the others soft (not free).

  • 0:55 THE MONKEY:D

  • how is this compare to maya software, 3d max, mudbox, zbrush?

  • look.

  • maya may be a landscape generator

    blender is animation

  • really, because i can do a lot of cool animation on maya, and most studio use maya and other software that i listed.

  • Free, Open Source n still this good.

& due to its unique user interface its somewhat like islam. once u learn it, u will become a hater of all others u listed even if there are some better features in them.

If u badmouth it, some blender geek will trace ur ip n blow ur pc up!

  • haha. nice threat, i mean its cool and its free. but im used to maya, and some how came across this vid, wondering what is was like. and the interface, is some what like maya.

  • thanks km94skaterboy, ive just watched the big buck bunny and found out that jimmy neutron animation really sucks.

gonna work on blender now =)

  • wow!!!impressionante

  • Amazing video!,

all the scenes shown in the video are all created using blender?

can i use blender 3d on making a series like jimmy neutron?

  • You probably could but it would take long and would be pretty hard I guess.

  • Jimmy neutron-animation sucks. try to compare jimmy neutron-animation and big buck bunny-animation

big buck bunny is made in blender 3d

  • Blender is easy. Just start from the beginning, there are many tutorials in internet. Curve of learning is high but with order you can learn fast.

  • im learning how to properly use blender right now.. im trying to make an ak-47

  • did you do these if so pretty good

  • There from one of the siggraph festivals...

  • I second this, i tried it out last year and just couldn't get anything to work out.

  • 5/5 and also theres a monkey in that cliff

    0:50

  • Great music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great!!!!!!!

  • Incredible! 5/5/fav.

    What's the soundtrack?

  • lol stupid chicken chair xD

  • its amazing, the things you can create using this software, but fuk me its difficult !

  • well blender 3d is basicaly an 3d model , animation etc. engine so to made an advanced

game you have to get Ogre its very usefull just when you end making of an 3d model you have to export ito Ogre and well... find out yourself im not a techer ( i hate them! >: (

  • can someone REPLY me?

Is blender 3d BETTER and EASILY than other game engine like OGRE3D,torque,3d game studio???

  • maybe

  • You'll find a discussion about Blender and how it fits into the realm of 3D modelling tools here:

(URL shortened to make Youtube posting possible)

    xrl. us/bef4yk

  • It is a very good engine, and easy to learn.

    haven't tried those others.

  • How long does it take to make really great realistic stuff with this?

  • If you have absolutely no previous knowledge and you spent 3-5 hours a day, you will get the first results in a week, if you spent less, a month time. For the realistic stuff I would estimate that it will take at least 6 months - because you need the experience. I'm learning Blender at the moment and it's awesome!

  • Btw, a video like Big Buck Bunny was made in 6 months time by a team of absolute pro's. Usually one person does the modelling, another one the rigging and animation, one for lighting and rendering etc. > bigbuckbunny(dot)org
