Although I'm CLEARLY not going to be as good as Kristin Chenoweth, I am hoping to sing this song in an audition later this year. The only note I have for myself (and anyother singer out there) is SLOW DOWN! When you're nervous you can sing (or talk) nearly three times as fast as when you were calm. Also I realize I sing this song too fast anyways. :P

Funny that during this sequence--right after their initial...well...loathing (heh)--the two girls get closer than most girls tend to get. "Hold out my sweet", as they said. Nonetheless, both girls lusted after Fiyero, the Winkie/Vinkus prince. Still, it was Elphie who made Fiyero hers, but even so, once Elphie was done it, the Ozian chorus continued to claim that "No One Mourns The Wicked", even though Glinda, Dorothy, Lirr, & others defy that assertion.

The one who was Glinda on tour in Wicked actually had a gorgeous singing voice, not as cutesy and nasal as Kristen's Glinda. So yeah, she's probably a better singer, but -imo-, a lot of the character was from the way Kristen sang it. Not trying to start an arguement, just explaining. =)

It was to be read by kids with their parents, since many situations our heroes (or even "villains", as Elphie would be mis-labeled) find them in are frought with life-threatening danger to the point that the blood-curdling incidents Baum had strived to remove from his story still remain, but are handled in a way that it doesn't unsettle people. Wicked, despite being for an older audience, was done similarly, IMO.
