@eric0838 No it's not idiot. Look up copyright infringement again as well as the 25 amendments (more particularly Freedom Of Speech). Lupe Fiasco doesn't OWN the instrumental as he is NOT a producer, he is an ARTIST, MC's don't produce records, they rap on them. And if you're not familiar with the term PRODUCTION, it's the musical term used for the INSTRUMENT component of a song..so if anything, Lupe is has nothing to do with this at all..as I did not use HIS lyrics, voice OR profited.
@eric0838 Now that that is out of the way... do you even know what a MIXTAPE or PARODY IS? I assume no since you come on a video as if you know something about law implicating 'copyright infringement'. BY LAW, anyone is permitted to use any product they bought or presumingly OWN at their own discretion as long as they are not PROFITING off of the originator's work (aka ZERO royalties)..so no legal action can or will ever be taken..what is WRONG with you?
@eric0838 These were old video's (especially this) and I'm signed to a record label now. I did these for promo to make a name for myself years ago and uploaded them freely to share.....if you notice the quality is beyond terrible and degrading and it is NOT original material. Look at the date on that...then go to my channel and listen to the 2ND latest uploaded video's quality and you'll see the difference. I also have a music video out
@eric0838 I've been working on an album for the past year full of all original material.......and you should educate yourself more on the music industry and it's business side. There's no such thing as a "YouTube Star" or celebrity..and fame does not equate to a career or money so it would be wise not to judge off of what you see from social media, especially YouTube. It takes close to a decade before an artist see's his first royalty check It takes money (thousands) to make money esp. music.
@eric0838 To reiterate....UNLESS you are legally contracted to legitimate Record Labels or other Entertainment Industry brances with paper work or record deals...then you are broke. Every "YouTube Star" you see on this website work for free and have regular 9-5's to pay bills...NONE of them are "making bank"..their subscribers equate to just that..subscribers (free fans of free material). And the Utube "partners" only get a few cents IF someone clicks on the Google Ads
@eric0838 To reiterate....UNLESS you are legally contracted to legitimate Record Labels or other Entertainment Industry branches with paper work or record deals...then you are broke. It's not his flow dickhead, it's called a PARODY showing direct respect to the originator of the song by FORMATTING it precisely the same way as the original song (Lupe Fiasco "Hip Hop Saved My Life"). Learn what a Hip Hop Re-make/parody is before looking like an idiot. The lyrics are all original, any idiot would CLEARLY see the formatting of the song to MATCH the original was INTENTIONAL for a purpose. Learn to draw conclusions better before typing dumbass disrespectful comments
@chirlakato Yeah BRAINS I realise that its intentional, only this isnt a parody, a PARODY is a comedy remix of a song, this is a serious hip hop remix, with the exact same rhyme schemes and formats that Lupe uses ! Whats the point of that ? If we want to hear Lupes flow/format we can listen to the LUPE version ? The whole point of a remix is to make something new out of the song.
No idiot. That is only one definition of parody. It is not stated or written that a spin-off to an original song is required to be a comedy when it falls under the category of Parody. Look it up. I'm not the only artist who has done something like this, as I said it's in respects towards the originator. I could care less about your opinion because it's not about you. You're the ONLY person out of 22,000 views who has an ignorant negative comment to something you should appreciate
@UrManRob Yea when u do a remix its best to take the flow of an artist cause it helps you stay on tracks and he is also right about the parody...Whenever a remix is done it is considered a parody but since mostly comedy rappers called it that it can also be called a remix or a cover.....Not fighting wit u at all just letting ya kno ya dig
Thanks for that clarification directed towards UrManRob! I have much respect for you SheaBudda, nicely put! Check out my other stuff and the CLEAR version of this particular remix!
Good for you. I'm glad you think your lyrics are "tougher" to a song that's not about being "tough". Also, change your 'rap name' as it's already taken and registered by ASCAP. In the meantime, don't disrespect me and my video by not showing any love and trying to promote your stuff on my video...then insult me by saying your lyrics are 'tougher' when I'm positive they are not. That's my feedback for you.
Yo I was reading the comments and man..you went to college..? No wonder your flow I can't understand? My vocabulary isn't..uh..as large..so I have trouble understanding...but u are a beast though...but can you cut it down on a 1 track or something so I could listen and not get lost...LOL
man..you are extremely talented lyrically. At times you might be too talented for the casual listener. I know as a rapper you want to force the listener to think..but I think your lyrics may make the listener think too much at times. If someones stuck trying to figure out what you say in one bar he's not gonna be able to focus on the following bars. Don't take this the wrong way..but if there is anything at all I could offer as advice it would be to try to mix things up a bit
i've been watching your stuff for a while now and i gotta say that your stuff never ceases to amaze me. your lyrics are really complex with the metaphors. that's why i keep coming back. keep doing your thing, and i hope you drop a CD soon.
nigga.... majority of your punchlines are similes not metaphors... but you got good lyrics.. cant front on that.. however you need to clear up your annunciations.. knawmean.. keep doing you tho.
Wrong........ Just because I INCORPORATE similies in conjunction with METAPHORS does NOT mean the "majority" of my "punchlines" are similies. For instance, re-evaluate the entire second verse...... It's a new level of complexity..... but to understand what I mean you'll have to FIRST not only recognize WHERE I have metaphors but ALSO decipher them.....THEN you'll see that I personify words, essentially making metaphors THEN I compare THOSE metaphors using "like" or "as" (similie) wit others.
haha... ok.. .. nigga..... . nigga.......... aight..i take back the majoirty of ya punchlines being similes.... its more like for every metaphor there are 4 similes.. and yeah yeah.. u have similes within a "metaphor"..but nigga.. they are still similes. Dont get it confused..im not hating on ya... just understand it is what it is.. when u compare something.. with the words 'like' or 'as' that is a simile. point blank. You straight kid.. but your lyrics are not complex..
im not sayin its untrue idiot im sayin the fact u chose one of the weaker lines that just happend to mention the most known rapper on earth shows u only skim the surface of hip hop
ppl repeat the line they thing is rly good wen that is just a statement and its not something to give a shout out to unless u tryin too hard to sound like ur a hip hop listener (tryin to sound like u kno wat ur talkin bout even tho u dont)
Sigh. You assume too much. Never did I say that was my favorite line. I'm tired of cluttering this dudes comments and argueing uselessly on the internet so im out. peace.
I like it. It's pretty damn good. But this is a backseat (rapper?) comment. I wish there would of been a bit more background bass (it helps mellow it out, considering it has a balance of loudness on vocal and bass) since it seems like (maybe I'm wrong, but considering it was built around a specific song) your rushing from one point to another. Don't listen or do, I'm not an Emcee and in NO way will I say I could do better. You did a helluva good job, especially on a song I love. Great job.
every emcee spits flows like other artists to find their niche. i do the same thing. i get on a jay-z track and spit like jay, or a nas beat and spit like nas, and so on. doing this will help you find your type of flow and lyrics. its a lyrical exercise that every great emcee has done before they found their own flow.
U iight my nigga better den Lil wayne auto tune faggot ass He fuckin sucks i kind of contridict my self by my name but i made dis account way before he started dat shit Lupes flow doesnt suit u tho be you man
Thanks for the comment but....... I AM "me". Lupe's 'flow' isn't my flow..... read the description and you'll understand WHY I INTENTIONALLY sampled his flow in regard to this particular song only. It was in respects to him for this track and to help find my niche by experimenting with a diverse range of flows from established artists. After all this is a REMIX to his single "Hip Hop Saved My Life", people usually only use DIFFERENT flows if it's a 'freestyle' borrowing a beat for mixtapes.
HOPEFULLY *IF* I get famous lol..but trust me Jasmine, I'll NEVER forget you.....In fact I'mma visit you in Cali pretty Often.........(well since I'd probably have access to a private personal jet or sumfin LOL)
I did that purposely (read description). It was in respects to Lupe, the originator of this song and to challenge myself to go above and beyond by intentionally making each vowel sound in each syllable mimic the original in sequence ON beat while having completely different context AND lyrics. I thought it was more creative in that sense...otherwise it would have been a common freestyle to another beat. But that's the SOLE reason I chose to RE-MIX on this particular instrumental.
Yo that was nice. Lyrics were real good. Only problem I have is the sound quality wasn't great, but it dont really matter cuz skill is skill even you record that shit on a cell phone
this is copyright infringement, unless your paying lupe
