  • Lame song

  • I love the tuba that run in at 3:00.

"I'm just gonna go out there and join th- CRAP! I FORGOT MY HORN!"

  • of course the tuba players are the first to set aside their differences and make music together. yay tuba love!

  • I like how everyone comes in at different times

  • The bell of Daellenbach's tuba is made out of Carbon Fiber. It was specially made for him by Getzen. It lightened the weight considerably.

  • Poor guy at the end.... He only got to play one note. :( ):

  • what is one mr. daellenbach's bell?

  • C'est magnifique. Une mise en scène légère & amusante. Vraiment BRAVO.

  • What type of tuba is the tuba player from Canadian Brass using?

  • @iliketopmoveit i believe that is the getzen g50 or CB50 (the name was change after daellenbach stopped using it. CB = canadian brass) now what is on his bell i dont know

  • Where's Ringo?

  • PachELbel you idiot!

  • Is that Ringo on the drums?

  • entertaining ! and as it continues absolutely beautiful

  • grandiosos!!!!

  • I love love love this! This is so beatiful- I have never heard it wih only brass so that is really lovely!!!

  • shouldn't these be CC tuba's? that's what chuck plays on

  • What key are those tubas in? They seem...big for Bb.

  • its just a more open wrap.

  • its in Eb

  • those are cool uniforms they look familiar

  • It's Pachelbel... Pachelbel's Canon.

  • does anyone know where I can get this dvd or (heaven forbid) vhs?

  • Amazon(dot)com

  • does anyone know where I can get this dvd or (heaven forbid) vhs?

  • I love how like a million Tubs show up, haha

  • I know right?

  • One, Pachelbel wrote many "Canons" ergo it is necessary to mention "Canon in D" to differentiate it. Two, the "unknown reason" for the different key is for the ease of playing. Trumpets (usually pitched in B-flat) would have to play in E-major to play this work in the original key. In "C-major", they are playing in "D-major" which is much easier to facilitate on trumpet. None of which has anything to do with being a poor player, because the general public doesn't notice the difference.

  • @Jynx1703 Three, only pompous jackasses preface their points of argument by numbering them. If you have a point, make it, instead of making yourself out to be an arrogant ass.

  • @Jynx1703

You are wrong. The Canon in D ist the only Canon Pachelbel ever wrote, so there is no need to differentiate.

  • I guess the "Everybody Love the Blues" shtick will will work with any song in a Blast world.

  • lol.. tht's funny.. but musical ^^

  • I don't get any sound from this video.

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome,

I know it's in D Major, but if it's to be transposed for French horn, what would the key signatures be?

  • A Maj: 3 sharps...

  • Just go up a fifth :)

  • RAW!!!!

  • badass

  • So what if they made a mis pitch =/ The Canadian Brass is an excellent brass Quintet. I would like to see someone do better then them. Until you can, I wouldn't be talking.

  • amazing~best tuba sound quality ever!! besides the change in volume, you cant even tell when the others join in!

  • I like the speed CB take it

  • i prefer the other version....

  • Tuba <3

  • I love the whole adding a few members at a time. And its good to see there are quite a few DCI players that also play trombone.

  • i love it good job

  • omg.... im playing this w/ a string ensemble on oboe and it is one of the hardest pieces ive ever tried despite how slow and easy it sounds! definitely one to test if ur up for a musical challenge. trying to sound good and hit all those notes in the sixteenth note and thirty-second note runs is no joke.

  • What do you mean to fast... Thats how fast your supose to take it.

  • Grandioso y divertido! linda presentación para un tema clásico, aunque el volumen del video es un poco débil. Gracias por este grato momento.

  • only 1 word i can said **BRaVOoo**

  • Wonderful. Canadian Brass lets go to Brazil!!!

  • amazing how even with 6 tubas playing together they stay perfectly balanced and in tune.

  • Ver y escuchar este vídeo me puso de puso de muy buen humor. Que bella música.

  • Haha the tubist from Canadian Brass is funny always no matter in 'The flight of the bumblebee' , 'Canon By Canadian Brass' & and here he's funny too

  • so thats canadian brass and who....star of indianna

  • gut gemeint, aber leicht missglückt, odr?

  • It's amazing how well they project even when hunched over like that.

  • Beautifull!!!

  • i love the guy with the tuba hes hilarious

  • Daellenbach is totally like: "wtf? they're multiplying!"

I'm a bit miffed there aren't any female trombonists (that I noticed). Female trombone players unite!

  • omg so what thats taking femenism to a bit of an extreme

  • There weren't any female trombone players that year in Star. I think there was only one the following couple of years.

  • I would love to remix this to a beat. unity in collective and communicative self expression.

esta de poca madre! es el apice de autoexpresion en la unidad! simbiosis y harmonia.

  • not bad...I use that model tuba, and Chuck Daellenbach played mine and said that it was good (which was awesome)...i notice that they all have really similar tones to mine, though...cept for Daellenbach, whose horn has that carbon fiber bell, i believe...

  • muy bueno excelente, de lo mejor que he visto

  • Es Tevi Miilu =]

  • merde i son 27 et i comence aek 5 lol trpo drole je laime sette video...

  • Dude I'd love to be that guy who plays the last note!

  • haha, the last guy comes out and plays a huge pedal tone :P

  • the tube with the glasses is the guy with the canadian brass

  • algo que deixa sem palavras....

  • Watch the guy coming out onto the stage at 3:00. He forgets his horn and runs back to get it. It's hilarious.

  • All it needed was Phantom Regiment to file in behind them and let rip with their rendition to utterly stun the crowd.

  • Good version... I love Canadian Brass, go see mnozil brass very goo to. I think there some problem with the solo trumpet player, flat at some time (1:03,1:13,1:22,etc.) BUT I really like this version...

  • lol I love how he bows for playing the last note.

  • nice job hey trumpets really hear out =] im a trumpet player =] overall Very Nice job =]

  • I don't understand why they're doing the whole theater thing. I also don't understand why the tubas are sitting on the floor...

    It sounded nice though. :)

  • Tubas need to be supported by something from the bottom, so tuba players need to sit down, either on the floor or on a chair

  • Oh okay. Thank you. :)

I didn't know that, 'cause I've seen some professionals play standing up, but it makes sense to have support, it must get pretty heavy.

  • songs have lyrics... its called a piece, when instruments play the music >.>

  • ur comment just ruined the piece faggot

  • thats adorable, now, if we all just take off our shoes it would be perfect.

  • r thoses bartoines inthe front i thought so

  • these are tubas..

  • trumpets what about the tubas

  • dey rawk.. nice trumpets..

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wonderful Performance. Canadian Brass are excellent. The tuba players have a lot of stamina

  • Thats amazing, I am also learning to play it in school, on Trumpet, its solid!

  • Ich mag diese Video sehr.

Gute Musik und gute Musikern !

(Der Herr Daellenbach ist der lustigste !)

  • NICE CANON!

  • simply wonderful

  • they are like lemmings more of them just keep coming and coming i thought was not gonna stop

  • bravo~

    and cool trumpets

  • Nice allegory for the joy of musicians getting together!!

  • Blues is nothing but a good man feeling bad and wanting to feel good.

Canon is a sad song that becomes and absolute inspiration.

    -O

  • awesome video im trying to learn to play it at my school(i play trumpet)

  • Man, you just gotta love Canadian Brass/Blast/Star... :]

  • this is an awesmoe video

  • i'veplayed the same arrangement with a different formation.

don't like their staccato at 2,39. i'll post our version

  • bellissimo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • it's so cool....

  • It seems like they are playing it kind of fast. This video is so funny.

  • the people in DCIish uniforms are cast members of "Brass Theatre" the guys in white jackets and black pants who look a little older than everyone else are members of the Canadian Brass

  • the dci unis are what was the Star of Indiana drum and bugle corp after they left DCI and after this they created Blast!

  • Lol, its still good and amazing, but the brass theater of indiana or something were confusing the canadian tuba, its funny

  • Canadians make the best musicians!

  • The guys in uniform are Star of Indianna? or just Canadian brass?

  • and How come some have gold designs and others have silver?

  • Star of Indiana (Brass Theater) cast members are in the cream uniforms with gold designs.

  • Aha! I thouht that I knew this melody already..it is the canon on which the Greek rock band Aphrodite's Child based their 1968 hit single "Rain and tears"!

  • God Damn Star had to leave DCI... =(

  • why?

  • THey left to do this stuff.

They signed a contract with the Canadian Brass to do brass theater for a few years.

  • Thanks

  • Yeah, it was good but it would have been better if they weren't Canadian...

  • What does that mean....-_-"

  • Its funny how they just go in...><

  • The old Man also looks irritated that they barged in.....><

  • that's part of the show - check out Blast! sometime, they pull the same gag in Land of Make Believe

  • This is the beginning of Blast. The Star of Indiana drum and bugle corps evolved into Brass Theater{1994-1998} (with Canadian Brass) and then into Blast in 1999.

  • Thanks, then who are the people in the White uniforms with Silver Designs?

  • trumpet rocks !

  • go trombones

  • PERFECT and you got to love the Canadian Brass, My life dream is to play canon along the side of the trombone player, he was my idol in high school and college, please make a 31 yr olds dream come true!!!

  • In response to the person asking about the DCI uniforms, most of the performers are former members of the Star of Indiana, they joined with the Canadian Brass to form the Brass Theatre before starting BLAST!

  • gilipollas en pachElbel

  • Listen to Canon Rock played by Funtwo and funtwo only he sound great!

  • the composer's name is Johann Pachelbel

  • AWESOME....><

  • this is supposed to have a pic part!! look on the Greatest Hits: Brass cd.

  • Great music and stage directions. I love the fact that the tuba player at 3:00 forgot his horn. Some of the players are wearing what looks like a DCI Corps uniform. Is that what they are wearing or is it just me?

  • The group wearing the DCI style uniforms is what became of former DCI champs Star of Indiana. Star left the DCI activity after the 1993 season and formed Brass Theatre with the Canadian Brass. Brass Theatre eventually evolved into what is now the Broadway musical Blast!

  • nice little history lesson there

  • And that ladies and gentelman is why i play brass

    trumpet horn tuba trombone

they are the voices ouf our inner selvs

    none can express us better

  • I so want to learn to play trombone. played trumpet for 13 years in a few ska bands teehee.

  • man this is one most the BEST music i have heard heard!

    BEAUTIFUL

  • beautiful song!

  • Nothing like a bunch of brass players to make me feel at home.

  • lmao way to come on stage without ur horn

  • Watch the guy coming out onto the stage at 3:00. He forgets his horn and runs back to get it. It's hilarious. LMAO.

  • The bald trumpet player (Ben Harloff) in the uniform on the right is my high brass instructor at Carolina Crown...he's amazing...

  • Haha, the Canadian brass player with the tuba is just like "what the hell is going on?" Awesome though!

  • Well played. As a trumpet player, the first trumpets combination of range and tone are very impressive.

  • As another trumpet player, I completely agree with you, Azzshana

  • They just play it too fast. Sorry, I like them, but it is WAY too fast.

  • I love their sneakers!

  • Oooh! I just love this one!

  • Thoroughly enjoyable, well played!

  • Badly, I can't download this film... ;(

  • KICK ASS!

  • What a treat!!!! The Canon is a good piece to begin with, Ben and the rest make it amazingly good.

  • its funny how the one guy always stops to look at the other tubas

  • Ah... that would be chuck. I love chuck, he's so funny. One of the Canadian Brass founding members....

  • Very nice! thanks o lot!
