There is no successful socialist society that has done so as a melting pot of ideas or people. Socialism works only in societies where the individual is always compromised and their religious beliefs and ethnic differences are steamrolled. Also socialist societies need capitalist societies for their goods and services as well as technical innovation. Cuba cannot exist without the USA. Sweden cannot exist without eastern and western European capitalism. China needs the US.

There is an abundant amount of hands to work on pipes, manufacturing lines, and homes... but there are very few with ideas and the investment power, and there will be even few people with money under sociolism and a welfare system. Do you think it is reasonable that GM workers are getting paid the equivelent of 154 dollars per hour? Wages and benefits included.
