I would just like to mention to all those people that are complaining that getting jumped over is a foul that 1) just by looking at the video it was pretty clean and B) if someone jumped over me in a game and caught the disc I wouldn't call a foul, I would give them a high five. Now I would like to criticize one thing about this video... if you are putting together beau and retarded it should be beautarDed not beautarTed. DUH!

I wouldn't call it because it's awesome, but technically, jumping over someone would be a foul, even if you don't touch them. You're entitled to your space including the column of space directly above your head and jumping through that would certainly be a foul.

The Principle of Verticality: All players have the right to the space immediately above them. Thus, a player cannot prevent an opponent from making an attempt on a pass by placing his/her arms above an opponent. Should contact occur, the player restricting the vertical area is responsible.

also means u cant jump above them if they could jump themselves and go for the disc. no to take anything away from beau who's awesome

the other guy didn't have position on the disc before or after beau skyed him. and there was no contact made that would affect the outcome of that catch. regardless, its up to the player to call it himself. so call, no foul.

i do think you need to watch where you're going but, when you jump you really loose all control of your path of travel.

when you're watching the frisbee it's hard to notice other people, i've knocked peolpe over by accident, i always feel bad but people are usually cool about it.

yeah usually its unintentional, im gonna do everything i can to get to a disc and usually tracking it you can't really see whose around you so if you jump into someone its tough to have avoided, at least without missing the disc completely

...which is why, when I play with guys who consistently play through other players instead of around them...I will make it a point to play through them until they start respecting other people's position on the field, and the need to avoid injuring people. I notice it's usually the bigger guys who believe that they can play through other people's bodies when they 'track the disc'.. So I think it's completely fair to knock f*cking crap out of them for doing it. Spirit of the game, and all.

Technically, you're wrong. A violation occurs when a player "does not stop as quickly as possible before establishing a pivot." You can't argue that was as quickly as possible. His first two steps were going for a pop-out, avoiding the travel if he "catches the disc and releases a pass before the third ground contact." After two full strides he realizes that he can't do this; only then does he begin to slow down. Not likely to be called, but obviously and technically it is a travel.
