True. While I think Burzum was partly an influence for some bands there was the idea that one man can do all the music (for example Xasthur took influence from this) and also partly the musical aspect but overall I agree that Euronymous and Mayhem were the main players both musically and also for the ideology behind the 2nd and latter BM movements.

In my opinion (and im sure the opinion of a few others) Belus is not a BM album or atleast nothing like the early 90's era of BM which Varg refers to. Also does a person not have the right to doubt what they have done and question whether it was the correct thing to do (in Varg's eyes his role in the early 90's BM movement) and then, as he has obviously done, decide that he was mistaken in playing that role. While I think Burzum was partly an influence for some bands there was the idea that one man can do all the music (for example Xasthur took influence from this) and also partly the musical aspect but overall I agree that Euronymous and Mayhem were the main players both musically and also for the ideology behind the 2nd and latter BM movements.

Euronymous was an inspiration and i dont disagree with some of what he said but if you still take him really seriously i suggest you watch the documentary "once upon a time in norway" on here if you haven't already. It's the story of the old days of Mayhem told by Mayhem members and other bands.
