This is really something increadble...it showes, that also the dangerous animals can somehow love, and let the love put their instincts down...those two men have a done a great job in raising him..they gave him love and cared for him like their own child, and the best of all is,they didn't think like most other people,in having him for themselves as a pet..they thought about him and what would be best for him,and that was to live a lion life in the wild..and they did everything to give that to him.
Just about 2 hours ago this documentary was on German TV and I only was able to watch the last 5min. So glad I found this on Youtube so I could watch the whole docu. What a touching story of an amazing lion and such good-hearted people!
Not putting anyone down but he had to of died by now it's been 50 years since his birth Saw something saying he died in 2009 but that's really old for a lion so I'm saying sometime in the 80's
I watched the entire story and it's beautiful. My grown son watched it with me and he had tears in his eyes when he saw the reunion story - we both did. My entire family and I LOVE animals! God bless John and Ace for their love and courage and John Adamson for dedicating his life to the conservation of these beautiful and majestic creatures.
The stroy of how 2 men raising a small cub into a beautiful, intelligent, Lion is a truly blessing story....I admire Christian and Both John and Ace pride as a family....And they indeed did the right thing letting Christian into the wild.
Christian was a very special lion ..and along w/ his human friends they were truly a part of God's plan to get a message across to humans! Take care of his animals!!
did you know that these 2 guys counted they days from the last time they saw christian and at 97 days they stopped counting... :( Christian If Your Out There Stay Safe.
One of the most touching stories I have ever heard in my life. I'm definitely buying the book and other books or movies about George Adamson's works - love what the man did as a job, what an honourable and thrilling job.
Wow. This is amazing. I watched the first part and had to watch it all. This story really touches me and I hope that when when Ace and John pass they see Christian again.
this is the most beautiful, touching, endearing story I have ever come across. So many people are stressed and worried about the world we live in, and everyone should really watch this to bring back whats most important, love and friendship.
This is a truly beautiful story. Truly. How much respect they had for Christian and how much from him to his 'owners'. The first reunion makes me cry every time :) Makes me wonder about the whole, 'Do animals love?' debate (typed while my own, slightly lion-looking dog, sleeps across me, giving me the occasional gentle lick.. :) )
Thank you for sharing this immense story. I shall be showing this to my class tomorrow (and try to hold it together!!!).
we do appreciated this documentary it only shows that love was powerful even what kind of love it is even for an animal or a friend like "christian"...
I remeber watching this video when it first came out. It made me cry and i loved christian but then i forgot about the video. Then the fine bros said something about and i had 2 watch it again do of course i did and i think i cried twice as hard
i watched all 5parts for the very first time, never heard about it till the Finebros. it makes me wanna cry, but fall in love with Christian myself. -3
God sent!!!!!! The best documentary i have ever seen, just because of its marvelous story which says the about 'The Love of a Beast', these days we can't find this kinda love even in human families... WE LOVE YOU CHRISTIAN...........
When I have a son, Imma name him Christian. YES I SAID IT. And every time I say his name, I will be reminded of how much love there is in this world. And how a simple connection can stand the tests of time and last forever.
I recall being told this story in 1981-2 whilst having a meal on the Kings road Chelsie by Lady Edith Foxwell and Jack Walton-Wolfe ( I was Jacks driver and took his dogs out in the car for drives and walks on hamsted heath, they were called Harry and Ike.), someone at anther table shouted out to someone at the door, "Christian we are over here" and Lady Edith Foxwell ask Jack if he remembers Christian the Lion, I ask what they were doing with a lion in London, then i was told the full story.
i feel like a girl, here i am crying about the lion saying that he had all grown up and that they never saw him ever again.where ever christian is at i hope hes safe, either dead or still alive i hope had kids and teached them his ways when growing up so that all the lions he dealt with are all nice as him.poor boy,he was killed and was christians best friend.but i love you christian youll always be in my memory.
IT'd be interesting to know how a lion educated essentially in the west integrated into Africa... did he change the way his own cubs are brought up?...after all when he was a cub he had a totally different lifestyle.... his upbringing forced him to be more cerebral...
and if he did...then are his own cubs doing the same now.. three or maybe four generations later?
What a beautiful love story, if only Christians love and loyalty with his human and animal family teach us to treat each other like that. Thank you Christian you are a beautiful creature...
This video is so touching I'm so glad I found this on Tumblr. I've watched this several times now and every time I watch this video it just brings me to tears and happines.
lovely lion christian ............OMG it has been an interesting story with videos ..................now i got 2 now how effectionate r lions to us if we r close to them
I really loved loved this story, After watching these 5 parts, it´s amazing, to see so much love. Is it just me or Christian had an special relationship with Ace? I really loved watching these two.
..., hardest thing was to let him go, because if you really do love someone, you have to let them go and let them follow the path that best suits them.
Nearly cried, when Christian became independent to the point where he was strong enough to leave George's protection to never come back and had a pride of his own in the wild.
what a wonderful story.... ;') no word can ever express the beauty of love... i really adore John and Ace and also Christian for a wonderful friendship..;)
This brings tears to my eyes every single time I see it, I would have loved given the chance to have a lion or a tiger myself haha, but like them, I would have had to send it to a better place to live. It breaks my heats and gives my joy at the same time, I cry now as I write this hah,

One day soon The Lion of Judah will return to establish a new Earth. All living things possessing God's breath of life will be able to live in peace and yes...in love! We do possess the ability to do so. It is that part of us that God created in His Own Image. We were allowed to see a glimpse of this love in the examples of all of the people who cared for Christian. Even more profound,..Christian...the King of the Beasts who embraced love with love! Thank you for a glimpse of heaven on earth.
Such an amazing story. Remarkable for both lions and humans. Ace and John truly loved Christian and treated him with respect and in return they got his love and respect. In finding George Adamson they were able to offer him more than they alone could give him. They were wise in realizing this and i don't fault them for buying him in the first place (i shudder to think what would have happened to him if they didn't), they didn't hesitate when it came to doing what was best for Christian.
Is no one thinking if he hadn't been captivated in the first place they wouldn't have had to put him back into the wild and risk his life by not being prepared? No one is thinking that? Why are humans so selfish, seriously? We risk the life of an animal we claim to love to get that fuzzy wuzzy feeling? Sorry but captivation of wild animals is not cute.
thumbs up for christen!!! Rawr!! :P

I'm sure I would pay double the money to get this experience! Ace and John did a really good thing here!
