I want one of those! Green? Hell it is Conservation, has nothing to do with green unless you are talking about the cost. I would love more info on installation. It would be interesting to see how many I could install on my roof!
big fan of green energy (no pun) but this is a very visually dominant design and I fear the price is ridiculously high. a smaller honeywell mill of similar design cost 5000$
You must be Amish! Do you drive a car? Have you ever had a bug hit a windshield? Do you realize how many animals and people are killed by coal mining???? And beyond that do you really think bats (with sonar) fly into windmills!!!! Try catching a bat? Or we could just use nuclear energy!!! That does not kill anything right??? Humm... And.... I suppose you consider yourself better than people from China!!!! Yet you say on your channel that you make a turbine.. Afraid of competition I suppose!
@vid009 if you don't want this on top of your house don't get it. Get solar instead or go for the normal wind turbines you get out there. How can you call it junk when it delivers clean, alternative energy?
Finally some people start to understand the interest of "convergent" turbines. This one seems inspired in my "superturbine" that I published last year (2008). But mine is anti-patent. Anyone may produce it, just have to pay royalties if selling it for business. You may find a PDF article about it if you google "SuperbWind". Nice video.
that's what was said about satellite antennas and solar panels too but they are all over the place and proliferating now that costs are coming into a realm where the average homeowner can afford them. These will be as common and allowed as any other home improvement.
regarding your leaking after screwing to the plywood, it will require standard flashing techniques as roof vents and skylights.

yep...I agree...seems simple enough...
I guess they don't give a damn about wildlife...
or..by putting screen on it..they are admitting
that it IS a wildlife killer...
Me...I like my birds and bats and honeybees...ALIVE>
MY family would NEVER buy a turbine that kills wildlife,
like this one DOES!!!!

It's made in China !...kills birds and bats and is a loser...
what else do you want to know.

@goose2goose2 curious why they don't put a screen over it to protect wildlife.

that's not a very heavy duty looking design. Lots of plastic there.

Really cool! I seen this in Popular Mechanics November issue. The website has more information.

I want to know how it will perform in winds of 65-75 MPH. WHY? See Youtube video... "AIR POWERED HYDROGEN CELL GENERATOR."

Wonderful that their technology empowers low wind speed to produce electricity! But this video isn't long enough to answer practical questions:
-Max wind speeds?
-Attaching it to a roof may create leaks when you screw it into plywood. Tile roofs need tiles removed/replaced.
-How huge a footing does a pole-mount need?
-Whose CC&Rs allow this honker?
-Don't you need permits? Wouldn't some neighbors fight this eyesore?
-If you're in a "view" area, good luck getting it past local purists.
