Been there, done that. It's quite crazy, yes. The first time I went I was really gutsy and did several rounds right up front. With so many bottle rockets going off all around your head and body, the heart rate and adrenaline goes through the roof. You need to wear sensible clothing with no cracks open, plus a full motorcycle helmet and neck shielding. You may well still get a burn or three. But some locals do it half-naked. A parade moves thru town and huge honeycomb launchers are set off 1 by 1
