  • this games sucks in one thing that is we actually dont feel in lord of the rings

  • So I don´t anything about such games.

I am downloading LOTRO in the moment ,

Can I go everywhere I want , with every level ?

  • I miss old lotro<3 the new f2p version sucks </3

  • Do they still play this game online?

  • do i need to buy alot of expansions? do i need to buy gamecards too?

  • @HoltWoWGaming theres only 2 expansions and you dont have to buy them till later in the game and you might want to buy gamecards but you dont have to buy like tons of them

  • @tupacisliving ah ok thx :-)

  • In my opinion moria sucks... Its impossible to find your way around and its annoying... I prefer the dunleding fortreses around eregion much better

  • Ha you do look like Puss in Boots :)

  • you look like Puss in boots xD

  • i bought moria and i cant install it, do i have to enter like an activation code or something?

  • Man this was filmed while this wasnt F2P... so thats how he have so many slots

  • dude i play LOTRO too. can u tell me when i can enter Moria? im already level 42 guardian

  • @halow1alone keep it up! at lvl 45 u can enter but i suggest 48~50

  • Go swim in the bog! Dont worry its safe!

  • Is the shadows of angmar an expansion?

  • @iAmDeathSpank SoA is the base game, level 1-50, Mines of Moria is the 1st expansion 50-60, and Siege of Mirkwood the 2nd expansion 60-65, Rise of Isengard will be 3rd at the end of the year, up to level 70

  • @GLaDOSrev2 i'm a lotro gamer, isegard u say.. what year is it released and how do u know this?

  • @Igleh12 Fall 2011, it's official news from the producers, was announced a while ago.

  • @GLaDOSrev2 it raises lvl cap to 75 not 70 even though 75 is a bit to high to me

  • @GLaDOSrev2 btw in Fall (or Autumn) 2012 another expansion will come called Riders of Rohan, including lvl 85 max lvl, mounted combat and karger rohan and Amon Hen

  • @GLaDOSrev2 75 man not 70...

  • @GLaDOSrev2 75

  • @GLaDOSrev2 hey if i have SOA do i have to get isengard, mirrikwood and moria at lotro store?

even though the expansion is out

  • what server are you on?

  • @Jherd12 Gilrain

  • @GLaDOSrev2 hahaha lol my to what is ur character name in game??

    greetz

  • Can't wait till my first epic quest :D

  • I totally remember those tentacles in the movie! they were about to enter the cave but the thing came so they ran in lololol!

  • is that the bitchslapper sea monster

  • YLE XAR!!!

  • I bought this game today :)

  • ive been trying to find this expansion with no luck. where did you get it?

  • @blobguy10 Off the LOTRO store

  • I've been thinking about to start playing lotr online. and I thought I buy Mines of Moria, but do I need to have Shadows of Angmar to play Mines of Moria? I do not understand :s

  • @AceFrehleyBJB You can start playing for free at once. You do not need Mines of Moria, which is an expansion for level 50-60. I think it only enables an additional class (Runekeeper) for a new player. You do not need Shadows of Angmar at all now, the game is Free To Play with a cash shop. You can unlock Shadow of Angmar regions in the in-game store. You can of course buy expansions later if you like, and unlock more regions.

  • @GLaDOSrev2 And you need to be at least level 50 to enter Moria.

  • @GLaDOSrev2 buying SoA does nothing now except 30 days VIP. the only way to unlock quest regions is to buy with TP or become VIP (the better deal) if you buy MoM you get runekeeper and warden and quests in MoM. seige of mirkwood only gives quests.

  • @AceFrehleyBJB Regardless tough Moria is a very cool expansion I'm almost even done with it and off to mirkwood (Came back to Lotro a bit later)

  • @AceFrehleyBJB if you buy mines of moria you will have shadows of Angmar but you will not have Siege of Mirkwood so i would recomend buying Siege of Mirkwood

  • @AceFrehleyBJB how do you get so many skill slots?

  • I've been thinking about to start playing lotr online. and I thought I buy Mines of Moria, but do I need to have Shadows of Angmar to play Mines of Moria? I do not understand :s

  • lol your horse runs funny at 3:09

  • i'll be playing LOTRO on friday when it becomes free!! cant wait, looks fun. nice graphics, very detailed etc.

  • When do you quest in Moria?

  • Those tentacles would've flattened me if I hadn't used Wisdom of the White Council O_o

  • @Icy96P1 hehe even WotWC won't save you should you meet him alone in the Waterworks ;)

  • @GLaDOSrev2 I haven't killed him yet. But I'm praying I give the killing blow. (I did with helchgam.... two times!) xD

  • all i need is my damn video card and il can play....ive been dying to lay and now my card is gay haha. is this recommended for a 1st time pc gamer?

  • mines of moria is for all races huh?

  • yes

  • uh ,yeah.

  • Manly Dwarves

  • Blech, Hobbits.

  • a hobit with a musketeer hat ? thats racist :D

  • i love this game but i def need a better video card, whats the point of going thru the beautiful world of middle earth with sucky graphics and performance? this is a col video, cant wait for the mirkwood expansion

  • hobit with a pimp hat?

  • try Silkroadonline its frre and pretty good

  • Could i play with 2.4 GHz plus a radeon 9000 video card and 1 gig of memory

  • I managed to run this game with a chipset during beta. I'm sure you could.

  • the graphics have been upgrade ALOT

  • you can at the lowest setting s

  • easily, i played it with a 1.86GHz + intel gm965(x3100) and 1gb ram. about 20 fps on low settings

  • hi.. been searching around alot of mmo/mmorpgs.. to try something new.. normely i play the chassic " world of warcraft " that everyone hates or loves.. but i'm getting a little bored with it now.. i have looked into games like.. final fantasy 11 (grindfest), eve online (i must be a retard.. cant understand how to move around lol), EverQuest2 (upgrading gear and all is ok), and some random free mmo's like dragonica/maple.. how is this game ?.. any good ?

  • this game is awesome if you enjoy the lore of lord of the rings (which i loved). The game does a great job of replicating some of the most awesome areas. Another game i might recommend is Age of Conan, it used to be a really unbalanced with lacking content but the new management is doing a great job and now the game is really enjoyable!

  • Ive played quite a few MMO's, and i must say that i find this one the most enjoyable so far

  • try aion online m8 its great i use to play wow also and loved it but i got bored of it i have to say that aion is the only one that i loved as much

  • thats true aion online is a good game i played it at my friends house the graphics is amazing

  • this game jsut rules :)

    nothing more to be said

    its really enjoyable!

  • AHH those dwarves are throwing stones in the water! The Watcher will wake up ;)

  • how did you got that hat? :D any lvl req?

  • I think its a standard brimmed hat, comes in many versions for many levels but should be available from early quests

  • Right at the beginning, if you roll a human, theres one for completing a quest :)

  • thanks :) I've gotten myself one of these now <3

  • Why did they all say pronto :P?

  • @BrendaTheAmazing -points above his life bar- Pronto is the player's name

  • @Garath120 ya you can get that hat at like lvl 4 or something, its a quest reward during the introduction quests. Though dont quote me on this, i dont know if its the same hat this hafling currently has equiped.

  • Also, how much does a goat cost? Someone please tell me. Thanks!

  • Around 5 gold

  • LOTRO is $15 a month, Mines of Moria is the expansion only. You pay $10 one time payment for Moria. But there IS a monthly fee. It's a great game. Oh, the video is amazing too. Thanks for making it.

  • no mines of moria is 10 bucks a month

  • is there a monthly fee u have to pay for Lotr, just like WoW? please answer soon :)

  • Yes, there is a 10 day trial for americans, 15 day trial if your European.

  • also for Canadians ;)

unless you were reffering to North Americans :P

  • For lotr i think its about 15-20 dollars a month.

  • What level is the expansion storyline (epic quests) made for?

  • Are there game cards you can buy at the store for more online play or do you always have to pay online?

  • As far as I know, yes, there are game cards for this.

  • cool thanks

  • There are pre-paid cards with 60 days each.

  • Yes there are game cards

  • are these specs great to play this game at high settings?

    Intel Core 2 Duo T9550(2.66GHz/1066Mhz FSB/6M L2 Cache)

    4GB, DDR3, 1067 MHz 2 Dimm

    ATI Mobility RADEON HD 3670 - 512MB

256GB Dell High Performance Solid State Hard Drive, 2.5MM

I've played this game before and I miss the comm. and game but all my comps never appeared to play this game as it should. Those are the specs of my new comp and i would like to know if theyre perfect for this game. Plz help lol.

  • your comp should play the game with ultra high properly because I have crapper specs than you have and I can play it with ultra high

  • thnx for replying. we shall see as soon as i get the new comp in mail.

  • Sure mate :) I use 2.06ghz intel core 2 duo, 2 GB ram, and integrated graph card Intel 945 in my notebook and I run it on Medium/High :)

You will run it on the DX10 :)

  • I just started playing Lotro and I bought both the expansion and the regular game and I love it, I can't wait to get to moria! :D

  • I got a question. I'm getting Lotro soon and i just need to know the difference between the moria one and the Shadows of Angmar. do i have to get both?

  • Moria is an expansion with new areas for characters lev 50+, it also allows you to choose two new classes, Warden and Runekeeper. Some Moria releases include SoA, check the info on the box you plan to buy.

  • So i should get Shadows of Angmar first or can i buy both at the same time and still play on new characters?

  • If you want to play the new characters, you will need Moria, and Moria requires SoA to be present already. So best if you get a full package that includes both SoA and the expansion. Hope that clears it up :)

  • alright thx a lot.

  • wich program did you use to capture this? plz answer

  • i use Fraps

  • I'm a lvl 41 guardian and i cant wait to get into Moria.. but im just so bad at leveling so it takes so much time

  • loved this part

  • i got a question,I am new to lotro and i dont know how to put my spells in that box that you jave above the action bar..please help

  • I assume you mean the 3 quickslot bars? You can enable up to 5 additional quickslot bars in the quickslot menu in options ('always show..'). Then just open inventory/skillbook, and you should see the bars, and drag'n'drop items or skills to them. Hope that helps :)

  • yeah it helped alot, thanks! and sorry for the slow response

  • Is the map of the moria expansion always inside the mines and never outside? I mean, except for this part where you enter the mines.

  • Yes always inside, an enormous subterranean world, untill you go out of the east gate into the woods of Lothlorien.

  • Right now I'm thinking of getting lotro and I have a question that I could not find anywhere else. I dont have any lotro game except the trial right now, and If I buy a boxed copy of Mines of Moria - does it come with Shadows of Angmar? I read somewhere on turbine page that it comes with the content SoA has, but I'm not sure if that means you can get it without having SoA. Help woud be appreciated. :)

  • you get both, there is not a stand alone copy of MoM, so no worries

  • Did you have any trouble downloading the trial? For 2 days ive being trying to download it, just keeps stopping.

  • I was playing wow for 2 years... and now i dont give a fuck about wow... Cause only reason why ppl playing wow and not other games cause WoW is very easy to understand, to LvL up, to gear up and all this crapy things... but in Lotro you need to know the story, TO Follow some Quests to take item.. and lotro got x4 of wow map... but now most of Areas is closed cause it's going like story in Book... Lotro 10/10

  • I am downloading Shadows of angmar right now i have been playing WoW for 2 years and it got kinda boring so im gonna give LOTRO a shot

  • hey i want to test this game out how do i download the ree trial

  • 1 question, I'm downloading the game right now...... been playing WoW for too long and end game is not for me (several 80lvl chars to find that out....) and I'd like to know if there is something similar to talent in lotro.

    Thanks in advance

  • is there pvp and how much money it is for 1month

  • 15USD/month and there is PvMP (player vs monster player) in Ettenmoors region. Some players can play as creeps there. Outside of this region there is only sparring.

  • Is there any kind of computer you reccomend for this game?

  • The requirements are not high you should be able to play it on a 5yo pc easily, maybe not all on max settings but the graphics are great for those requirements. The lag you see is caused by my connection.

  • I got 2 questions for this game and can someone please help answer them?

    1. Do you need LOTRO shadows of angmar to install Mines of moria expansion.

    2. Does mines of moria expansion come with a free month of online play?

  • Yes you need SoA to install Moria.. and it depends which package you buy, some might include a free month.. you need to check the description of the package you are going to buy. The standard package does not include a free month though.

  • thankyou :)

  • is it free to play?

  • someone explain this game to me please. How does it compare to wow, and WAR.

    Is the game PvE based?

is it a vast land to explore like EQ?

  • it is pve based with great story. in my opinion, its better than wow and war. 2 years ago i got the game for christmas and i had to play it on lowest graphics and with choppy gameplay. I was addicted. I tried wow with good graphics, it was boring, no story to follow. I bought my new computer and tried WAR with max graphics. it was boring too, by the way war didnt want to run on my older computer and the graphics suck compared to lotro. hope i helped =P

  • Sweet. How is the game world.

Can you walk from one end of the world to the other? how long would it take?

    is there weather?

  • Yes you can walk from one end to the other with no loading screens (except maybe when you enter Moria which is huge by itself) and it would take forever.. even on horse lol. Never tried that though it's just too long a walk. There is weather as well, although not as spectacular as I'd like it to be (no thunderstorms, hurricanes etc xD) And the best thing the current available world is but 1/3rd of what is to be expected from Middle-earth once everything is released in the next years.

  • It is too long to do it, but there isnt loading screens its free world. also, at the moment, u cannot go to all the parts of middle- earth. u can only go to eriador and the continent of moria. which is very huge, but turbine is always updating the game and all the continents will be added

  • It's huge and the story line is based on a book, expalained xD

  • ok ty

  • please some1 answer to this im thinking of buying it but is mines of moria like a expansion so i need to have the first game before i buy mines of moria or can i buy this now (i dont have any of LOTR online)

    PS nice vid :D

  • You need to buy LOTRO: Shadows of Angmar first.

  • When you buy MoM first lotro comes with it

  • i only like wow better cuz it is easier but both are very good games

  • thats true it is easier, i played wow for over 2 years and started this now.....tell ya the truth i actually prefer LOTRO now lol

  • I rlly don't know what to take... WoW or Lotro... Played Wow for like 3 years now and got 2 lvl 80's almost cleared al the content and i'm lvling another char but played lotro 2 it was a great game and i rlly loved it but my pc was to slow (now got another 1 :D) but now i don't know what to play wow or lotro :s

  • i miss lotro :(

i gave it up for WoW :(

  • i WANT KOTOR ONLINE ! ^^

  • How do you level up in this game?

  • You gain XP from every mob u kill and from most quests. So in other terms... u gain levels by fighting and/or doing quests!

  • like to other people

  • lol yes ofcourse

  • hey can u talk in the game?

  • yes of course lol either by typing or by in game voice chat

  • Wow, weren't you at all tempted to take a swim in the lake?

  • I was, and I did swim, but not in this vid, due to the 10min limit of youtube :P

  • lol, that's more like it : )

  • next expantion i want flying mounts :P

  • wat class are u

  • WoW is better

  • WOW is great in some ways, I just liked the mature community of LOTRO more. Got tired of all the teens bragging about gear they bought with online gold and typing "l33t" etc. Both are great.

  • you think teens are the only ones who brag? I've met some pretty immature adults on WoW

  • That is entirely subjective. Coming from an avid WoW player, LotRO is just as good, if not better. The community is better in LotRO, hands down.

  • Well WoW is a pretty good game as well, but after 3 years i have switched to lotro to try it out, and i love it! I'm a 35 champion atm and the community is way better, everybody is intelligent and there are no words in the chat like "noob" "you suck" etc.. Also the game has a lot more depth and more exciting. If you liked WoW, you will love lotro!

  • i dont know why - but i bought this game, and got to lvl 13, then stopped..

i REALLY want to like this game, but just can't as long as wow exists.. s:

tho i cant wait for diablo 3!

  • i tried the game i got like to 24 or somthing on a burgler. and i felt like the game was too carebear unno if its changed but all i could do when i got on was go play as monsters :P only fun i got out of the game but i miht try it again.

  • great :D

  • graphics look fantastic.

  • wrm is hij een homo??

  • homo

  • oie, that is one confusing screen icon managment, 1 good thing about final fantasy 11was that it was so user friendly... Guess ill wait for the kotor mmo to come out instead of trying this out.

  • You can customize the UI in whatever way you like in LOTRO. If you watch videos made by others you will see entirely different configurations.

  • great video! :)

  • The best graphic on the market right now has WAR and Conan, but well, I've played both and none of those could beat Lotro in the story :)

you're having much more fun in lotro, the quests is better...

  • Actually I think Lotros graphics are alot better than warhammers, warhammer is very cartoony.

  • lol then you have'nt play warhammer, wow is cartooned. Warhammer is not more cartooned then lotro.

  • lol seriously warhammer is almost graphic

  • lol i asked right before u used the mount lol

  • is this area instanced? becoz i don't see any player around.

  • Yes it is instanced, in one version the gates are closed, and in the other they are open. Only people who are on Volume 2 Book 1 can enter, and meet each other in the 1st version. The other version is for everyone who completed Book 1.

  • is there a mount in the game for players like a horse?

  • like a goat type thing
