  • Does anyone know what that massive explosion at 4:25 is? I have seen that footage before many time and always wondered.

  • I believe that was an ammunition/fuel carrier (supply ship) that was actually hit by a Kamakazi. I'm not sure if it was a plane or suicide submarine (called a Kaiten). Anyone else can assist??

  • That was the explosion of the Liberty ship SS. John Burke. She was hit by a kamakaze. All hands lost as well as many on ships near her.
