chi chi my sun conure i got him when he was 4 weeks old, hes 3 months now but his beak has always been black and white, im sure as he gets older it'll turn black

Whatever you do, do not purchase your parrot from a large chain pet store. The staff in these stores are often ill-educated (if at all) about how to deal with parrots. They are not just living objects to be put on display. Most parrots require a lot of socialzing and discipline early on to prevent bad habits from forming later...(i.e. screeching, biting). Save yourself a couple of hundred dollars and the hassle of "rehoming" by buying from a breeder.

I have never seen a sun conure with a pink beak before that is very unusual. I also have a cute sun conure that is 3 years old and smart.

I have a sun conure that is only 6 months old, he loves me but still hasn't learned to step up on my finger yet. I was the first to handle him at the store, everyone else paid attention to the older ones that that were almost completely yellow and orange.

Gosh hes very young isnt he, what age do they come from there mum and do you have to feed them special food for baby birds. I live in the uk and only see them in pet shops but none at that age ++++

Taco's beak was pink when i got him. i know that most babies have a black beak, and i suppose taco is just unusual in this case. after about 2 months, it turned completely black! it took him a while, and i was worried!

@BaaaadKitty omg he is so cute, I need to know from you, how hard is to have a sun, I left deposit IN A SUN baby few days ago and in about one week he will come home, But I am so worried about the noise, I've had many lovebirds and I now have budgies, I know they are different but the budgies and the lovies make noises constantly but it is not too loud. What about the sun will it be noise during day long, or it is just sometimes?

@mari8244 Hi! have you gotten your baby yet? Regarding the noise, well, I personally don't find it very offensive. The budgies here at home actually make more noise than he does. We have amazons as well, and their noise is so much bigger and louder than a conure's. Taco makes noises when Pepita, my BNP starts vocalizing, otherwise not much at all. It really depends on the bird, I am guessing Taco is a conure that is relatively quiet

@BaaaadKitty No my baby is still being handfed by its breader, it will come home in about 15 days that is what she told me today... I am so excited to have my baby. Yeah thats truth my budgie its also very noisy.... Your baby is very cute!

I've also never seen a Sun (baby or otherwise) that had a 'pinkish' beak. Very unusual. I remember when mine was that young. She's now 14 years old and still my baby.

That is the first time I saw a sun conure with a pinkish beak. Wonder if it will get darker or if that's the way he/she is. My baby sun's is solid black.

sweet! you should. you should contact one in another city and find out what they did. the one in my city is an hour out of the city I live which is fine, I go there every couple months to support them. good luck with both law school and the rescue!
