I have the cvn 200 and it's awesome I love the sound and I'm very happy with the price. Just get better rosin and a better shoulder rest and you're all set.
do you know how to read music? because i'm buying a violin spur of the moment. i want to play it but i have absolutely no idea how to read music. i learned how to play the piano like that but i hear its different.
im not tryin to be mean in any way but when i was younger lyk when i was in the 7th grade i wouldnt bow straight so my teacher told me to stay against a wall to that way i could only move my elbow im now in the 11 grade and i still do this no joke this maybe u should try this as well its very help full
I am very inspired by you.I am also trying to teach myself to play the violin! It is confusing at times, but I hope to get better. And learn from you possibly!
your fine dispite other comments . The more you practice your ear and brain will connect to the violin your learnig. The more resources you use enriches your experience believe me.
I am a self taught jazz violinist for a very long time. Still use and learn from all the input I can get. learning to read music. I would suggest every once in a while take a few lessons to get pointers on playing, it can be helpful.
When I first heard how you play, I am amazed because I am actually hearing a vibrato, which is self taught. However, I still feel that you need a fuller vibrato, with even crests. You will later realize that the movement you are doing during your pure vib exercises is actually the same while you are playing pieces. Just make sure to mimic all of the movements and try hard to integrate this into your piece. One best practice I had is to play the scale with 4 crests of vibrato in each note.
It's pretty cool how you learned on your own, but it looks like you need some tips.
On the vibrato, you should NEVER shake your are, or shake anything at all. It should be a fluid, and most importantly a NATURAL motion of the hand. It more like a wrist technique.
The trick is to move your hand toward your body when starting the vibrato as in moving your knuckles toward your face. And of course practice vibrato slowly. Try not to be stiff.
Yeah, I realize I'm really stiff in this vid, very different from when I'm practicing pure vibrato exercises (thanks to violinmaniac vid). Guess doing vibrato in a piece is slightly harder than just practicing single notes.
Btw, I'm doing arm vibrato so my arm has to 'shake' (versus wrist vibrato). Maybe this is what you meant.
hmm.. you're very good! Im also a self-taught beginner and i think ill challenge you to a youtube duel-off if you're up for it :P I've been teaching myself the violin for the last two months and i think ive got a fancier vibrato than you! if ur up for it ill link you a clip when ive recorded it :)
Hi, i guess you need a teacher. its about 25USD per hour. Hmmm your vibrato is just fine, but it appears a lil stiff, it happens on first few months of learning. Not bad
good but is there any way you could have gotten the backround noise out
