  • Wow, just noticed this video jumped to over 300 views, guess you like to hear about hardware! Feel free to comment and let me know what you would like to learn about. I am more than happy to answer your questions in a video.

  • The interesting video !

  • Hi John great video thanks. can you tell me what editing software you use. windows movie or kodak arcsoft or others?

  • @GeorgeBirdsall I use iMovie, Screenflow and Gimp for the majority of them. I have used animoto.com in the past as a test, it was interesting but I found it took longer than iMovie and had a lot less control. I am still shooting and editing my own at the moment but I am outsourcing my client videos as I get busier! Looking for some video editing geniuses in Huntsville btw!! [chuckles]

  • @RocketSocialMKT thanks for the reply, just noticed these are all for apple macs, any experience with windows based software?

  • @GeorgeBirdsall Hi George, I recommend Camtasia Studio instead of Screenflow and Photoshop instead of Gimp although GIMP works fine for PC too. For editing I suggest Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum Production Suite, Windows Movie Maker or Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9 depending on your budget and experience level.

  • @RocketSocialMKT thanks so much for your advice . I enjoy your video posts and have learned a few things.

  • I like you intro too.

  • @seoadvertising Glad you like it! We are testing a couple of different intros, you can see another one in the stuff I posted last month.

  • John my name is Lee your TG friend. I watched your video twice, once on your channel and once on your video page. This is a great service to your members. Thank you so much for your continued help.

  • @seoadvertising Thanks Lee, glad you like them!

  • Yes, I am just getting started so I have not uploaded any videos yet. Love the Social Media Minute. Really helpful.

  • @homenetyouteam Thanks for letting me know and I am glad they are helpful! I am producing the next shoot right now and they will be out this week. What questions do you have? Maybe I can feature one in a video.

    John

  • Thanks for the comment! You can get the Zi10 for about twice the price with a bunch of nice features like a larger touchscreen and the ability to upload video directly from the camera to your Youtube channel, but the Zi8 works great. I checked out your channel, now you know what camera to use to shoot and upload some great content!

  • Excellent video, short and full of good information. The Canon ZI8 is a bargain. Not as much as I would expect.

  • BTW, using your iPhone or Android phone video camera is fine if that is all you have. The sound quality won't be as good but it's always better to get something on video at an event or wherever and post it to your channel than not to have anything at all!
