There isn't a tower that's equal in value to the life of on human. Why risk it when dissembling a old tower in unknown condition. An old 300' tower near here is set to be demolished to make way for a new cell phone tower. We had amateur radio equipment on off on for 40 years Things change all gray trains get to the end of the line. Suck it up & get on with life
OH my god what a waste; I would have sooooo taken that! Even if it was in bad shape at 1/2 the height it would be plenty sturdy if it stood at all at that height; I literally can't believe the way they destroy those things considering how damn expensive they are for ham radio ones that are wimpy and small.
