  • sorry, but did they get austin powers character from this singer??

  • man peter looks just like austin powers i remember these guys in the 60s

  • Comment removed

  • A couple of comments. From certain angles Gordon (God rest his soul) bore an amazing resemblance to John Lennon (God rest his soul too.) This version of Phil Spector's song is alright, but I still think the original Teddy Bears did it best. Just my preference. For the longest time I had difficulty distinguishing Peter and Gordon from Chad and Jeremy. Peter Asher and Chad Stuart were blonde and wore big horned rimmed glasses. May all four be remembered!

  • The Teddy Bears, two boring dudes and a girl, and was written by Phil Spector. The Beatles version was not really released. Paul was dating jane Asher, sister of Peter, and Paul sang lead and it was for the tv show, "Pop Goes the Beatles." It was never released until the last 20 years or so, and by the way, Jane Asher was one id thew first teenage girls to do a full frontal nude in Michaelangelo Antonioni's Blow Up with David Warner. In one scene, Jane and girlfriend chase nude one another.

  • @mjshroomer1 You're incorrect; the group was formed by Phil Spector who sang on the record. The other members were Marshall Leib, Annette Kleinhard (Who went on to a fine songwriting career) and Sandy Nelson on drums.Harvey Goldstein was also in the original line-up.

  • Is this song original of them? Because the Beatles have the same song o.o

  • @IriuskaBeatlera The original song is called To know him is to love him written by Phil Spector. The Beatles recorded it too as To know her is to love her.

  • great song

  • Great stuff, Hey Georgiana... .

  • nobody ca'n't replace the sound of the 60s&70s +the british invasion .what can you say all of you rap artist?

  • nobody ca'n't replace the sound of the 60s&70s +the british invasion .what can say all of you rap artist?

  • Girls are screaming, there's hope for me yet

  • Remaining one of the most noble male duos of all time.

The mix of their voices have never been copied.

A perfect couple in the history of popular music.

  • magic.........

  • Simply love this song!

Memories with my mom as a child!

    So right on!

"To know you is to love you"

  • Absolute magic - thank you for sharing.

  • Yeah Baby!!

  • omg yes HE LOOKS LIKE AUSTIN POWERS. GET OVER IT

  • ....and I do..... ;-)

  • Austin Powers is real!

  • Lol Autin powers, come on folks there is a resemblance!!

  • YEA BABY YEA

  • the one on the left looks like austin powers lol :) great song :)

  • 1965 was a good year for music, also i was born 1965 yay !!

  • Too bad cosmetic dentistry was not very far along back then... Their biggest hit was 'I Go to Pieces' written by true music legend Del Shannon.

  • @blackdogxx Err, no it wasn't - it was True Love Ways, by an even greater legend - Buddy Holly.

  • @blackdogxx give them a break, black... they were Brits! lol

  • @blackdogxx I thought that too about the teeth, but these days teeth all look the same and 'artists' have that plastic look. The latest 'pop star' to come out of the Xfactor in Australia 2011 is only 14 and had his teeth done during the season of X. Looked ridiculous he could hardly get his lips around his teeth, and it must affect his voice as well. $12,000 for a 14 year old? Let his teeth develop naturally and then see how they look. It's a crazy world.

  • they should be thankfull to lennon-mccartney for their songs!

  • Amen paleblue,,,,,,,,,,,what the heck was "Zeke" doing here anyway??

  • great version : ]

  • is this a cover or original version

  • @tranquilitychristo It's a Cover

  • I miss a lot of things about the 1960's but the girls screaming isn't one of them

  • omg 1:00-1:11 Peter is so hot

  • I'm trying to look for a Wendy's Ice Cream tv ad shown in Australia in the late 80's that used this song....does anyone here know which ad I'm talking about?

  • I know which one you're talking about. In fact, I just uploaded it.

  • Thanks you legend!!

  • What a great song the duo did!

  • Great song..........I love this group.

  • Great song! Great artists! Great time!

  • Zeke - YFP

  • BTW whomever that retard was about beat suckboxing... please, take a flying fuck at a rolling dougnut.

  • How great is this? Wow!!!

  • to know know know them is to love love love them and i do.............. gordon's baritone and peter's tenor and the harmony and they were so cute, too.

  • I hear what you're saying H77, and while I respect your opinion, I'm afraid I don't consider graffiti, rap, breakdancing, etc. to be music and/or art. And you're right: I should have included talentless "pop" stars in the list. Who knows how many of them can sing without their synthesizers and voice filters. Hell, most of this new generation of "stars" lip sync at live concerts! My point is that the bar for real musical ability has disappeared: nowadays, no talent is necessary. So sad..

  • Hey Zeke: Save your smartass remarks for your hip-hop stars; you know, those highly talented individuals like 49 cent and emenema who can't: sing, play an instrument, compose an actual song (grade 3 rhymes don't count) or display any kind of musical ability. These boys could do it all: they sang (without voice filters), composed tunes, played guitars, etc. and had beautful, exquisite harmonies (thanks to endless hrs of practice). So stick that in your crack pipe and smoke it...

  • Hagun, i see what your saying, but mostly all of the artists today have computers to make everything sound better especially when it comes to singing

  • @paleblue498 RIGHT ON MAN . THE MUSIC OF TODAY IS CRAP. SO SHUT UP ZEKE

  • What music of today? I wasnt aware there was any...

  • @paleblue498 Completely agree. However, this is a Beatles song, as was most of their hits?

  • @lucasiskewl Actually as some other posters have mentioned, this was slightly modified version of a song called "To Know Him Is To Love Him" which was a hit for the Teddy Bears in 1958. If I'm not mistaken, Phil Spector either wrote or co-wrote it...

  • @paleblue498 modern music is shite mate Im a 60's guitarist and if you werent good you got booted off, not like today. There would be no one on stage if they were out then

  • Do you remember the original version, "To Know Him Is To Love Him", by The Teddy Bears?

  • and didn't they do a Barbara Lewis song, too?

  • any of u guys ever hear the beatle version to know her is to love her???

  • dont you think the 2 guys here had a shit time in the 60,s without twats that takeing the piss out of them so many weeks in the charts trying to make you think they are not the the fab 4

  • Ladies and Gentlemen....Please welcome ...
