I actually thought of buying a new PDA... and just a second before buying one I found a site, where I could update my Hermes 100, HTC Tytn (O2 Trion) to wm 6.5. And I can tell ya´ll: My "old" Hermes 100 is like a brand new PDA with all I ever dreamt of of features. Great version!

yes you can upgrade omnia 1 / htc diamond 1 to wm 6.5, but there is no official ROM from windows. you have to get a cooked ROM from modaco or xda developers. Bout unlock screens, what i like bout iphone's is that u get sms previews.

No, WinMo 6.5 isn't out yet, it's still in Alpha as far as I am aware. Just check gsmarena or pocketnow for more updates in the near future :).

All this is great, but I'm really surprised that they haven't implemented the Auto-Lock feature that most touch screen phones now have.

I know we can just install a cab for that, but that feature should be built into the core OS. It's a pain to manually lock it before putting it in my pocket every time.

I know, this is not the solution it's supposed to be BUT via a Registry Key you can turn on the Auto Lock.

Another Way is "Advanced Config 3.3", a software that should really be on every WinMo Device because it's very very helpful. Have a try.

Its not practical at all to have the unlock funktion at the top like that, it will be a pain in the ass to reach on my big Touch HD screen.

Hope XDA-dev moves it to the bottom.

I don't know if it will be able to upgrade directly, but rulzmaker if you buy certain devices like the Touch Pro 2 or Touch Diamond 2 from HTC they provide a free upgrade to 6.5 when it comes out. :D
