Minnie possessing the ability to actually enunciate through high register's can not be duplicated by any other artist. She is truly legend and Iconic. I think Maya Rudolph said her mother, Minnie, would sing this song to her when she was a little kid. Thats what made me think of what to do when Children are frantically crying for no reason (their mom was out shopping). It definitely worked for me. The two crying babies loved it, stopped crying and started to smile. Then giggle at Grandpa - probably because I'm such a lousy signer/hummer.

I remembered this song from the 70s. On 11/3/11, I was sitting on the floor with my 11 month old grandson who was cryin and his 3 year old brother who was also cryin. I started humming this song, and then softly singing it to them. They stopped crying. Then they started to smile at Gramps. Then I played paddy-cake with the 3 year old and the baby just watched us and giggled. I kept softly and singing this song to them. Everything was wonderful. Thanks Minnie.
