  • @ekj12388 thanks :)

  • Hey Walt, A very enjoyable listen. Your voice is quite amazing. Sweet cover.

    Mark

  • @busywave Thanks Mark..I used the Boss studio simple reverb...little compression and one of the mic emulations...forget which one! : / best to you Mark..

    Walt

  • one of Kraftwerks best vocoded pieces..and you've got this cover spot on ...not easy to do ..and you've naild it ..top, top work ...be proud Walt

  • @stuckelectric I agree it certainly was one of their best vocoder pieces..much different from the robots, but there was a unique character that Florian delivered on the vocoded vocal part that was never duplicated quite the same way in any other song. you're right..it wasn't an easy undertaking! thanks Steve!

  • Hello Walt!

You've created some nice ambient sounds. And you sing too! Crazy electronics! Always a pleasure my friend - thanks for sharing!

    cheers,

    julie

  • @buniluvr Hey Julie, I pretty much tried to copy the original as much as possible...the ipad Animoog worked perfectly for this kind of ambient electronica. Many thanks Julie..walt

  • Excellent rendition of KW's aesthetics based on the electronics of the 40s and 50s, Walt. Very nice singing and collection of valve rumors. Weird that at times the accordion, or what it is, seems to sound like a chinese tune.

  • @Deisinoful An often overlooked album Radio-Activity had some nice ambients with quite a nostalgic flair: Radio Stars.. Intermission... Uranium... Transistor all tied quite nicely into the main tracks. It is interesting how that Chinese motif found its was in...purely accidental I assure you Gian...many thanks!

  • @Deisinoful I forgot to mention it was a Chamberlin (violin) sound M-Tron...which sounds just like Florian's Orchestron!

  • Great job here Walt...great sounds and excellent work on the vocals...really top job. Love the video too !

  • @STEVEL361 The ipad Animoog app worked perfect for this type of piece (radio, morse and beginning fluttering sounds)...very analog sounding...almost no stepping to speak of, and I certainly had more available sounds than were needed. The vocals...it did seem to work out on this one. Thanks Steve

  • @NickDrake101 No probs Walt. Now I've started with the vocals I can't seem to stop....even bought a microphone stand a week or so ago. It does seem to help as opposed to using the mike hand held. Got another effect pedal too a few days ago.

  • @STEVEL361 Cool! that's the way to be about it Steve..really just charge into it! That's good that you bought a mic stand....and don't forget to get a pop filter, too...it does help.

  • @NickDrake101 I'll have to look into the filter..thanks.
