I had been diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer right before Christmas, I had the colon re-section surgery a week ago and the lymph nodes showed positive for cancer (9 cancer and 4 clear). I start my first chemo treatment this Friday. Thank you so much for giving me hope with your positive attitude. You look great. I hope I respond as well as you have.
I am a 7 year colo-rectal cancer survivor and was wondering if there are any other survivors out there that have more time than I do or know of someone that has 10 plus years of cancer free time following colorectal surgery. I do have an ostomy if that ino helps. My e-mail is ericclaue@yahoo.com. thank you.
hay if your even thinking about surgery if your doctor is telling you that you need surgery right away or you will die a slow painfull death then please for your own sake or the sake of a loved one then watch msbones 1950 a slow death before doing or deciding anything it might be the best thing you ever do
Becky I am 60 just passed and have just been diagnosed with colon cancer. I have been happily married to a lovely woman for 37 years. we have a son and a daughter and three lovely grandaughters. we have had a great life despite many problems. we are christians and find outr trust in God as father is so assuring. This has come as a shock and as I await surgery I just want to say how much your video has encouraged us. We trust you and your husband keep well. Ivan Gordon
Thank you for sharing your story. I was diagnosed with colon cancer last week. I am 40 years old, non drinker, non smoker, no history of colon cancer in my family. I have surgery planned for tuesday, 7/27/10. I am scared but your story gives me encouragement. Send one up for me!
i'm 25 and now have started bleeding from my stool which consist of dark blood or black and then bright red. and also i have cramping should i go get this checked.
@Shiagirl36 yes you should really go get it checked. Its not normal to have blood in your poo. I am 24 and had a colonoscopy yesterday and they found 2 large polyps and I have no family history of bowel/colon cancer.
Becky, just wanted to thank you for sharing your story. I'm 33 and I was just diagnoised with colon cancer (complete shock, as well) Your story gives me so much hope, THANK YOU!!!! its not a death sentence!!!!! Your Amazing!!!
Becky, Thank you so much for being to unashamed about having coloncancer. Your husband, friends and church support is fantastic. That is how I survived. I asked for prayers from a dozen or so denominations. Please check out "upyoursdocumentory" here on YouTube. Please pick out whatever videos you would like to post in your "My Favorite" bok and pass them along as you are inspired to do so. Thank you very much
Dear Becky, Very good! My sister had colon cancer 5 years ago, & like you is our major go getter in the family. She too is doing well & is back hiking, biking, kayaking, & doing all of the above in various parts of the world! It's wonderful that you have a husband that has been able to be there for you. She lost her hubby to pancreatic cancer 15 years ago.
I have been invited to contribute videos to icyouhealth. I am thrilled as I have great tips on suppliments & lifestyle. Best, Liz
