  • Bamboo fiber is not ruff, hard, or scratchy at all. It is actually very similar to silk and suprisingly simple to spin you just need the proper amount of twist. I would check out some different video's from people who are experienced spinners if you are interested in learning.

This yarn is spun incorrectly and has no structure.

  • A beginner should never attempt to teach spinning, you've got an ok start but you not joining your fiber correctly, you not drafting. Holding all your fiber wadded up in your hand will just cause it to become matted, before spinning it you should pre-draft or fluff your fiber and hold it lightly in your hand. If you don't get the proper amount of twist or a correct join your yarn is not sound. thats not artsy! I think you should take some lessons and practice alot more.

  • @Rizuzua I think its the soft stuff inside that makes the yarn. Not all of the bamboo is hard like the outside.

  • love it!!!

  • love the tutorial and take it easy with cold okay

  • I have socks made from bamboo. It's the eco friendly fiber. That's really interesting and must be rewarding to create your own kind of tectures and colors yarn.

  • @DFG333 How do you turn the hard, unbend-able fiber like bamboo into yarn? Is there chemicals involved? I need to know ,because I have some bamboo growing outside and I want to make some yarn! :)

  • @Rizuzua I have no idea. My bamboo socks were given to me as a gift.

  • Interesting!
