Good news. On the day of the April protest in my hometown, my companions and I arrived only to find the small business boarded up, empty, with a "For Lease" sign in the window. You know what this means. Anonymous is having an effect on the Co$. They are losing members. They are losing money. Their smaller cells are dying, and those in charge are in a panic.

So I say, march on, Anonymous. You are now the heroes of the internet and reality.

I've seen a copy of a letter L Ron wrote to someone when he was in China. He used the term "Chink" for them. Being of Asian descent, I'm not really impressed by that.

im pretty sure you know damn well thats not what i meant there. in vietnam for example it was common for US soliers to use the word chink and im sure 99% of people used it too in the 50s. i think you are "as usual" focusing on the wrong details and ignoring the important ones like a solid 80% success rate for drug rehab for example. it is undemocratic to protest against a philosophy. if you have a crime to report then visit your local police station. what else is there to discuss?

I know that many Women's Rights groups have had run-ins with Scientology trying to protect abused women and children since SP's are stalked and harassed when they leave and lies are told when mothers try to get custody of their CoS children.

Tory, you mentioned that we should approach parishioners from other churches to let them know that the CoS does not believe in God. I respectfully disagree.

As far as I know, Anonymous is not 'at war' with the CoS because of Xenu or Hubbard's denial of Christ. Anonymous shows the public the abusive nature of the CoS.

The problem lies in if you don't address the more formal churches and their parishioners there's a very high chance that Scientology will try to hide behind the cloak of "Freedom Of Religion" that other churches will gladly listen to. Her talking point is very valid; and with many southern christians, it's a very good starting point into conversation. Most people, paticularly Catholics and Christians may not be interested in the first place, since in their views, it's a non-issue.

And because it's a non-issue to many of them, you have to bring up a talking point; and when talking to alot of religious people, getting up at them and ranting about "cults" and their abuses isn't going to bring you anything but a raised eyebrow and a "Not really surprised" reaction from them. But tell them that LRBlubbard said there was no Christ? NOW you have their attention.

And i'm also going to go out on a limb here and conclude this was more meant for the one on one meetings with church-goers, and clergy; not so much as a representative of anonymous. Once you have their attention fully, then you can go on to the talking points about rights violations and other crimes of the Co$.

Perhaps it would be better to tell a Catholic of the forced abortions in the Sea Org (for example). That is certainly abusive AND it would definitely get their attention since Catholics are notorious about "choosing life."

In my experience, many Christian churches are aware of 'cults' & have educational books in their libraries addressing this issue. Some even have outreach ministries to those who've been injured by negative experiences. To be sure everyone needs MORE awareness! Thumbs up to AnonLurbsJ00 posts!

The truth is kept pretty obscure, including the fact that people tend to stick to their own world, or in scilon terms, their own zone. The more business infringement that is shown the better. I do however view other church organizations as good potential outreach groups for help for members leaving scn. Overall its got to be a location by location issue, so in essence, do what feels truthful and right in your area and the truth shall dawn on those who need it.

The intimidation factor of the masks did seem to be a problem area during pickets, but one thing that we did in Winnipeg on the 15th, and what a lot of people did was wear party hats, and I think it helped to shave off some of that projected fear, etc. Have a happy Easter!
