  • アンディパウエル?

  • tres bon mais le tempo trop lent ....

  • Who's Phil Collins?

  • But Phil Collin's came after they did. That's the difference.

  • No different to 'Phil Collins' Genesis' in my opinion!

  • So amazing. I've heard this song a bazillion times - I never get tired of it, and performances like this make me see God.

  • I can't understand how some people can get bored listening to this fantastic song. Every bit of it is so brilliant. It is almost an adventure to listen to this song.

  • Mark Birch needs to give that guy some guitar lessons on how to use a Wah pedal.

  • I saw Wishbone several times in the 70s and this recording is every bit as good if not better than I remember them being then. Obviously Andy Powell on the Flying V but who are the other band members on this video? Vocals seem miles better without the falsetto of yore.

  • Great GUITARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @siggisongs1

yes it's technically brilliant - but sooo boring. It makes me feel lost in the endless meandering clouds of hippie brains. I really understand why they created punk and new wawe some years later in the mid/late 70s.

  • Saw them is Cape Town in 2010. Fantastic concert at Grand West. Money well spent. Hope they come back soon. Thanks guys, you are great !

  • used to catch ash at the standard in walthamstow east london. many a great night had by all!! was a young man of 14 when this was released now 51 and still think argus is one of the best albums ever

  • Still as good as when I saw them in the 70`s in Worcestershire. I really like this track and Error of My Ways. I hope they continue to rock for years to come.

  • fantastic

    you rule Muddy

  • They are playing the Satsop River Rock Festival in Hoquiam, Washington July 31, 2010!!

  • I'm astounded to find this. A blast from the past. Pleased to find they are still going strong because they are still strong in my memory. Salute to Ian for turning me on.

  • Long live the wau-wau pedal !

  • Oh wau, I didn´t knew if they still existed. I still listen to "The King will come" both on vinyl and CD. Their guitar-work are still in top, but the singing was better in studio then.

I´m glad the wau-wau pedal is not dead, - love it !

  • Saw them play this and many others in Wolverhampton, UK back in the eighties - fabulous guitar sounds, awsome!

  • powell is one of my favourite guitarists, he never wastes a note

  • I met the singer/bass player of this band yesterday XD, - friend of my uncles hahaha , so i thought i'd look them up! they're pretty awesome.

  • la particularité du jeu de Wisbone Ash viens du concept de Twin Guitars, Andy Powell et sa flying V c est vraiment énorme ! vu au plan a ris Orangis en 2007, je suis resté collé !!!

  • I first saw them in 1972 in Youngstown, Ohio when I was 19. They were playing with quick Silver Messenger Service who I came to see. I never heard of Wishbone Ash. They blew me away and have been a fan every sense.

  • whos playing the intro guitar ! hes got a great feel for the song, love to know what amplification hes using,Powells fab used to follow them allover inthe early days .newcastle city hall 1972 etc

  • That's Muddy Manninen. He replaced fellow Finn Ben Granfelt in November 2004. Saw them last Sept. Awsome live band.

  • Fender's could be bassman's

  • Powells using a Mark 1 reissue boogie

  • hes called muddy manninen(real name yrki manninen or something)

  • 1977 Kansas City

    I am still enjoying them

  • I think it´s stupid that there´s a "Martin Turners Wishbone Ash".

  • Yeah, you are right. I'd much rather watch a silent video of nothing........oh no, hang on, you are wrong. I wold rather watch this

  • ô.O

  • @xbreakdownxdrummerx

Why......As he and Steve Upton are the original founding members of the band, he's entitled to claim the Wishbone Ash title! It was indeed Martin Turners Wishbone Ash.

  • Superb!

  • I saw them in Des Moines, Ia., in 1974 or 1975 with Brownsville Station, if you can believe it. Small crowd, mostly Brownsville folks. They practically got booed off the stage. I thought they were great. I stopped doing drugs after that night, btw. I saw them again with my wife about 10 years ago at Shank Hall in Milwaukee. They were great.

  • they sound as good if not better than they did 20+ years ago, liking the deeper vocals!

  • i agree loved them in them 70's rock and roll widow always blowed my speakers. ha d a pioneer receiver that was really amped up and b/o speakers.. still couldn't take it on max.

  • Absolutely fantastic.

  • wonderful stuff

  • ok I did say they were a great band, I recall actually seeing them back in about 78 maybe 79 at the Newcastle City Hall, but this Video still reminds me of a "Spinal Tap" effort, my origonal comment was posted after watching said Spinal Tap Movie.

  • Perfektno!!!

  • Saw this band when they first came on the scene and they blew you away then great to see they are still goin' strong

  • Hi, I saw first way back in 1973, they were brilliant then, and they are STILL brilliant!!

  • Great Band (why the Cheesy Spinal Tap bloke in the helmet) reminded me of Stone Henge wtf?

  • That guy is on the cover of Argus, their greatest album (wtf, one of the greatest albums period) check out the cuts on youtube, you can see the cover and hear the original versions that underground proto goth pre metalheads listened to.

  • what an asinie comment....Wishbone Ash of then and today can blow the smoke out of these bands today,,, they still tour, record, release dvd, and draw 100,000 people yearly!! the vast majority of todays band are crap, and those in the know tip a hat to the Wishbone Ash influence.

  • Lighten up a bit. Are people not allowed to have a bit of fun? The crowd aren't complaining, none of the fans are complaining, and, to be honest, after meeting the members of WA, I don't even think that they knew it was going to happen.

Great version of the song, keep rocking.

    WA for life

  • great statement, TKDGSA....the crowd went nuts when the Argus warrior walked out..400 people raised the roof, and the band loved it....made a great impact.

  • argus re-recorded...check out my channel

  • Makes me shiver! That guitar... Unreal!

  • Awesome performance

  • Wholly Crap!!! Great Guitar, great song!!! Lead Guitar blew me away!!!

  • They come once more to Germany in January 2009. I will meet them again in Worpswede near Bremen. Muddy Manninen plays now with a wah wah. Very good sound. Ich freue mich schon auf den Abend. Grüsse an alle Wishbone Ash fans.

  • Beathiful. Den er go'

  • How come they've got one of the Emperor's Royal Guards on stage?

  • lol! i thought the same thing! its the guy off the argus album!

  • a reference to the album cover lol

  • Such a great song!!

  • do you know if anyone has done any vids from Wishbone Ash live dates album?

  • Add RI,PA,and MA. One show in each state. Tickets to the NY show are already on sale. I got front row!!!

  • All you Northeasterners-WA is touring NY and CT this September. VERY few dates!!! Check their website.

  • Who is that new lead guitarist of theirs? He's ruddy incredible

  • Lead guitarist is Muddy Manninen... He's been with the band since about 2005 I think.. Very talented guitarist indeed!!

  • Fantastic.

One of the best songs of all time (I'm not just saying it for the sake of it).

  • This is such an ace song. I have been listening to this all mylife. I haven't seen them live since 1990. Great version.

  • 90 was the reunited original band- nice

i just listened to 3 versions of this song-

the best version was 90- also listened to the one with laurie wisfield 80 something...was good but not as good as the 90 version...and this version is good also..i like the new guitarist and andy is still the man,but there still is nothing like the original line up-

  • the original lineup was great, but the present day WA with Andy still leading the way after 40 years, with Muddy, Bob and Joe, is musically and technically levels above ..

    IMO the best lineup ever..

  • Saw them last Saturday at Jazzbones in Tacoma, WA. Great to meet the band that night..have come full circle since I was a starry eyed kid in Labor Day 1971 having my life change at Satsop Music Festival. GodBless APower for keeping the culture as greatness is defined, the orig members are missing out. Peace Andy Powell

  • Incredible! Probably my favourite of their solos.

So annoyed that I missed them on their tour this year; I'd love to get to see them live at some point

  • Amazing ! I love this number. one of their best ever.. :D

  • i just saw them last night, and the guitar work was fernominal

  • spectacular show to end the tour...Sellersville and Wishbone Ash go togethre!! doesn't get any better than this!!

  • I was there...It was actually December 2007...What a GREAT performance...Muddy & Andy are simply awesome...Go see them...You won't be disappointed...God Bless Andy Powell..

  • Wishbone Ash kommen nach Fischbach in Friedrichshafen, am Bodensee! Und ich hab schon Karten!

    What a great Band!

  • great performance

  • i was there front row and it was amazing like it always is. Wishbone Ash are the Gods of music.

  • superb as always
