@gameshowluvr86 I remember one win in which that clue was at the top of the pyramid and the celebrity said "a road, a football player, Joan Crawford..."
I wonder if the show ever comes back on the air if contestants would be able to guess the answer from those clues. Thanks for the response and the video posts.
For me (and I mentioned this a while back), the most highly sought after week of "The New $25,000 Pyramid" is the Shelley Smith & Bill Cullen week (10/10/83-10/14/83). The reason why I thgink it's so highly sought after is because USA Network has never shown it, and neither has GSN.
Well, here in Dallas (Central time), The $25,000 Pyramid came on at 3:00 in the afternoon, followed by The $100,000 Pyramid at 3:30. After that, PGA Golf, or somethin' crappy like that would come on... lol.
I'm quite sure I remember it coming on at different times of the day, despite the fact that the shows all came on in the same order. I couldn't even tell time back then LOL! I was only about two or three, but I remember it pretty well.
Things with a Shoulder: a highway, a football player, Dynasty's Joan Collins...

@bearfedway Hahaha! Joan Collins! Now, that's what you call an '80s clue! :-)

OMFG the tie-braker portion!
"We went to war with them in the 50's, North and South--"
Receiver of the clues responds with, "Kentucky!"
Seriously, where the hell did she get that from! LOL! Too funny!

"Pirates' Treasure" would have been great for the fourth box.

why did they change the main pyramid from blue to white but kept the winner circle blue?
FBCDJ1620am 3 years ago 3
The WC changed to white on the Audrey Landers & Charles Siebert week (9/19/83-9/23/83).
What I don't get is why did it only take until the 2nd week of shows to do the same thing to the main board.

Would you happen to know what time the pyramid came on when it was shown on USA?
