The problem with pepperspray is that it has varying effects on different people and generally people with fairer skin are more effected and those with darker skin are generally less effected to the point where some people can go right through it.

The problem with spray is often times you get some blow back and get a little taste of it your self.
Now kimber makes a 2 shot pepper gun and it's pretty effective even if you don't hit them directly in the face, it shoots out like a jet, the down side is only 2 shots and it's like 50 bucks, however it gives you quite a bit more distance which helps avoid blow back in some cases.

@NattligMelodi You can get a gun permit for rifles and shotguns, even for hand guns but they can only be taken and used in firing ranges and locked away at home. I'm looking around for a training course so I can get said licence.
A Tazer isn't a one shot weapon, after the shot is used the tazer can be used just like a stun gun. Plus the tazer is far more effective than a stun gun, you can actually keep a attacker on the ground with it without touching them simply by pulling the trigger again (that's assuming that both barbs landed) a stun gun can easily be taken away plus you have to get close to use it. Pepper spray is also good, I reccomend Saber Red or Fox, most cheap brands aren't real effective.

@KingCrimsonEpitaph I was the guy that made them legal in Canada just saying. I met with a fellow from Colorado the minister of Agriculture in Ottawa. I paved the way for companies to come into Canada unfortunately we had to label them dog spray. It ended up been a nightmare to market. Now I am a Ron Paul fan, we need a Ron Paul here in Canada also. Happy New Year.

@KingCrimsonEpitaph That was a long time ago now, it must be registered as dog repellent with a PCP number on it to be legal, if the cops stop you , you must reply it is for defense against dogs. Technicality stupid one. I agree we should have the right to open and conceal carry. This is another way for them to take power away from the public. You and I know, outlaws will always be able to get a handgun why can we not defend ourselves and our families and our property.

Next time, Try out Fox Labs pepper spray... That's what a lot of the cops, FBI etc use. It's suppose to be the hottest out there! I've carried it myself for a long time, had to pepper spray 1 person with it.

A Tazer isn't a one shot weapon, after the shot is used the tazer can be used just like a stun gun. Plus the tazer is far more effective than a stun gun, you can actually keep a attacker on the ground with it without touching them simply by pulling the trigger again (that's assuming that both barbs landed) a stun gun can easily be taken away plus you have to get close to use it. Pepper spray is also good, I reccomend Saber Red or Fox, most cheap brands aren't real effective.
