Also, HIV is very unstable outside of a host cell - this is why it is transmiited only via intimate contact and not through the air. HIV would not survive during the preparation procedures involved in making the Hepatitis B vaccine.

@sunaru1 It wasn't created. The Hepatitis B virus were prepared in infected chimpanzees and injected into Africans and gay men. The ones that survived developed antibodies to Hep B. The Hep B vaccine was prepared form their blood(serum) The scientist were unaware that HIV was in the vaccine. This all happened in the late 1970's. It all starts after the Hep B vaccine trials. Everything I've read validates this. They just won't ever admit it. I probably wouldn't either

@sociomike HIV existed as lond ago as 1964 and perhaps even 1959, years before the Hepatitis B vaccine was made. Also, HIV is very unstable outside of a host cell - this is why it is transmiited only via intimate contact and not through the air. HIV would not survive during the preparation procedures involved in making the Hepatitis B vaccine.

@sunaru1 yes it is unstable. It's more heat labile than Hepatitis B.American scientist started using heat inactivated HEP B vaccines after Dutch scientist introduced that step in producing the vaccine. I haven't seen much info to support 1964 or 1959, though,
