@hello10577 screen image burn in is usually associated with crt televisions and plasma tvs and seems to be a real problem with samsung galaxy s phones over time . i was really wanting the fascinate from verizon , basically the screen gets images of the on screen icons and even text literally burned n2 the screen and so far when on the internet its a real problem as i saw on the floor model at verizon . i did some research on the net and couldnt believe how many people have had the same problem

@bigfatsmart 249.99 plus whatever the taxes are were you live at, so around 280.00 to 290.00 for the phone. Basic plan of 69.99 a month plus mandatory 10.00 a month for premium internet which totals 959.88 a year (without taxes and fees) add the fees and taxes and it's about a thousand a year.

litomk87, not sure what you mean. i in a 4g area but i only use the 4g when i need so most of the time it is turned off to save battery. but you are saying that you can't use any thing unless you use 4g? maybe you have a defective phone if you are within your 30 days take it back and get a new one. coming from TMob and a G1 this Epic blows that G1 away. I have not had any issue with the Epic except for below average battery life. i sure can make a call/receive a call when on youtube, Robbie

im sorry guys ive just sold my evo 4g and got an epic 4g i like this phone but there is an epic problem.

1. we all know sprint dosent have 4g everywhere yet.

2. in epic 4g you cant call a person and use the web,market, or access youtube, or gmail at the same time. unless ur on 4g.

it was a big let down but any of u guys know how to go around it please tell me...this is the only thing thats keeping me away from loving this phone

@ezteta I think the Captivate is kind of nice actually. But it really is all personal preference. If you can afford the unlocked phone, find a Nexus One. It's awesome, beautiful, and AT&T compatible. Or get with T-Mobile, they're awesome :)

Samsung went out of there way to make everyone happy. i do like that there is a LED flash in the back. and a side camera button. The Galaxy S is not a bad phone. I own the Vibrant and im really happy with it. All of friends went and got a Galaxy S. My lil bro got the CAptivate. my cus the Vibrant. its awesome

@imgettinmoney02 My older brother sld his Evo for this. And he loves it. He said he doesnt care the the screen is slightly smaller, you really dont care because of the Super Amoled screen. And the Epic has a way better processor. As far as Camera goes, having a 8.0 mp camera does not matter. Because The Epic shoots also in HD at 30fps. And watching on the epic looks mind blowing, The Evo has only 65,000 color on the screen, The Epic has 16 million colors. So everything is going to look better.

@StylistecS I have an old instinct and it's been dropped in the toilet a few times, dropped on concrete several times, thrown against the wall once or twice, and agressively held..and it still works perfectly. Also, the Galaxy S actually has better specs, you can do a side by side comparison with the Galaxy S and the Evo and iPhone. Also, the Galaxy S has a hummingbird processor that jolts out more fps as opposed to the snapdragon in the evo.

I had G1...Loved it for its clear crisp web rendering and as any manly man would tell you also for its slide out keyboard as I am a blue collar man with large fingers. I also owned a Touch pro 2 hated it 's resistive screen and win mo sucked ass..  then I got the HTC HD2 great phone but can't up grade to win 7 and it appears there will be no flash upgrade for winmo 6.5 so now this phone is looking like a great next device.

My spring contract is up Sept. 1 but just preordered this last night from Radio Shack no problem. Will be fed exed 8/31 with 2-3 day delivery. For someone who only has the most basic of flip phones I'm really excited! Another 10 dollars a month, oh well, some spend that on one pack of cigarettes. Since I don't drink or smoke I save a lot of money so no big deal. Yay Epic!

@iMstrKrft depends on location. It gets 3-6 mbps where 3g tops off barely over 1mpbs. Sadly so far Sprints 4g network is in VERY limited locations leaving you mainly with 3g. If I were you I would make sure you are able to get a strong 4g signal or not pay it at all.
