I'm so disappointed. Everything I've seen so far has all been done on the Wii, only much faster and just as accurate. So basically people don't like the Wiimote because it's a Nintendo Product.

Once again. Nintendo leads, Everyone else follows.

Red Steel 2 already does the sword stuff. Wii tried the throwing grenades thing. Didn't really catch on in other games.

Wiimote still King even with all 2 competitors with better tech. This is starting to get ridiculous.

This controller is great and it just show how the circle closes as PC prevails once again. The ultimate platform, so thank you for bringing us tec like this, hope you get good sales - I know I'll give this a try.

My point is I get tired of companies developing this stuff and claiming it's better, but have zero evidence to back it up. They have no games that prove why they are better. Now PC is trying to do it but havn't shown any games with new gameplay to show why. Where as Nintendo just does it and everything they do they copy cause they know they have no original ideas.

@xilix Yes it can detect direct input on games that don't have compatability or haven't been keymapped to buttons and custom gestures. No not all all games will detect it's axis but they are working on getting it to work with games that seem appropriate for it.

Flipping your wrist makes sense if your fishing but the gestures should feel natural for what you are doing in virtual space. I am surprised there are no sleek gloves with this kind of precision on the market. Gloves would enable you to have a virtual controller with whatever object you have in your home. Toy guns, guitars, steering wheels and whatever layout your game uses (Steel battalion) can be printed on a piece of paper or at least an inexpensive object.

This technology will bring us to the future - this is some minority report shit. Nintendo did a great thing with their wii tech, basically setting the standard for motion control (forget the eyetoy...). Although the Wii's controllers are now considered a joke by many, it paved the way for amazing advances such as these. I can see these coming to fruition in the next five years, revolutionizing the way video games are played. Also that keyboard is the bomb, though it gets dirty fast. <3 you Razer

The wii uses up, down, left, right, the sensor is so weak, it can't be used behind you, hardly any games, the games don't incorporate using your body.

Move, this use up down, left right, back, forth ( that's the x,y,z axis). Has better games, cheaper, and they are only add-ons.

Lastly, I would like to ask, is this superior to the Sony's PS3 Move (worked on since 2000[?])? I would assume so, predicting that the weak magnetic field on this might be more accurate than the Move's PS Eye.

I noticed the box of energizer batteries on the desk, I'm guessing these things chew batteries in less than 12hrs if they need a spare box for a day of demo-ing. Lrn2have built in rechargables and a charging dock built into the base station or something. Or.... lrn2make decent technology that people want to use...
